What's the possibility of amenorrhea after taking Zoladex 10,8?
I took a depot of Zoladex 10,8 in september 2006. It's May 2007 and nothing yet... I still feel the effects of that sh*t, I mean, shot. Asked by Josette Daisey 1 year ago.

It is possible for a woman to have amenorrhea after taking Zoladex. The lab says the possibility isn't big, but it shouldn't be ignored. They can't give exact numbers or a percentage of women who had it after taking the shot, what makes me skeptic when they say it doesn't happen too often.. it seems like they don't want to reveal how dangerous that shot is! If you didn't have your period back after all this time, you should consider talking to your doctor. You should get hormonal exams and check what's going on with your body. Zoladex 3,6 is safer for women, even though it has bad side effects, too. Zoladex 10,8 isn't even indicated to women, due to its capacity of provoking serious problems as amenorrhea. Just in case you don't know, Zoladex is even used to treat cancer!! It's not just a medicine anyone can take... Good luck! Answered by Anissa Demase 1 year ago.

Is Zoladex the same as Casodex?
Asked by Joye Magno 1 year ago.

Both these medications are given for treatment of Prostrate cancer. They are differnt. Zoladex is given for release of hormone while Casodex is given to block the hormone effect. GISERELIN or Zoladex is a synthetic peptide analogue of gonadotropin-releasing hormone used to treat prostate cancer, endometriosis, and advanced breast cancer. and BICALUTAMIDE (Casodex®) blocks the effect of the male hormone called testosterone. Prostate cancer responds to the removal of androgens. Bicalutamide is used in combination with another medicine. Generic bicalutamide tablets are not yet available. Answered by Kerrie Reado 1 year ago.

it appears, no. They are both made by Astrazenica. Although both are for prostate ca. CASODEX® is (bicalutamide) while ZOLADEX® is (goserelin acetate implant) see www.prostateinfo.com Answered by Annabell Lupino 1 year ago.

Dear I really sympathize with you! I had a uterine fibroid for YEARS before I actually got to have anything done about it! Thank GOD I had a hysterectomy last April!! It really is the ONLY cure I feel for the fibroids because any and everything else is just experimental and they tend to come back.. GOOD LUCK with this trust me I know how the bleeding and the swelling and all that is.. when they took out my tumor it was the size of a BASKETBALL! I was amazed but then relieved when it was all over with! I had to decide on children * which wasn't possible anyway the fibroids had really messed up my insides* or being healthy and I am TOTALLY healthy now THANK GOD! I pray the Zoladex helps you, but be careful you have to study up on things you put in your body I blame DepoProvera for my tumors..anyways take care! Answered by Gennie Varuzzo 1 year ago.

As someone who has taken Zoladex I can tell you that even when coming off of it it can alter the period for a time. But I would recommend double checking with your dr about the issue of +/- when it comes to what kind of an effect on a pregnancy test. Answered by Ettie Cruikshank 1 year ago.

I was given my first zoladex injection on 15th Aug And came on my period on 29th Aug, a least a week early. I've been told it's common for the first injection to not stop your periods but every injection after that should stop them. Kxx Answered by Rickey Degrasse 1 year ago.

My husband has been taking Lupron shots for prostate cancer for 8 years - off and on. Why is Lupron still so terribly expensive if it has been around this long? In the states, the cost was over $2,000 for a three month shot. Now, we live in Mexico and learned about Zoladex (Soladex) available here for $700 for a three month shot for basically the same thing. Even $700 is riduculously expensive. Are the drug companies trying to add to the misery of having cancer by financially ruining those unfortunates? Answered by Taneka Rael 1 year ago.

Pharmaceutical companies are the worst kind of prostitute, pandering to their stock holders at the expense of killing children and financially destroying people with cancer. Look up orphan drugs if u want to see real suffering. There needs to be a way to force drug companies to support the community they are raping with probono efforts. Be nice or lose your patents. Answered by Tatum Adamczak 1 year ago.

Because the makers of those products are paying companies of the generic brands to keep their products off the market for certain lengths of time. Sometimes many, many years. On top of it - What additional funding B Clinton authorised for the research companies, Bush has stripped it away. Sucks doesn't it? Answered by Erica Granstaff 1 year ago.

No, it will not affect the accuracy of the test. In fact, I'd be very surprised if you got pregnant while on zoladex because the medication stops ovulation and periods in most women. If you don't ovulate, there is no way to conceive. Answered by Emmitt Casivant 1 year ago.
