I am taking zestril 20 mg for high blood pressure ?
I am taking zestril 20 mg for high blood pressure ? Is it good medicine ? is it safe ? what is the differnt between zestril and lisinopril ? is 20 mg high dose ? wht is the the first line drug for high blood pressure ? does zestril protect ur kidnys ? Asked by Detra Virula 1 year ago.

* Zestril is an excellent medication for blood pressure control, especially if you have other co-existing diseases (diabetes, heart failure, heart attacks or kidney problems). * Like every medication, it has side effects, and you should consult with your doctor about this. * Zestril is a brand name for Lisinopril, there is absolutely no difference between the two. * 20 mg is an intermediate dose for Lisinopril, though the most commonly used dose is 40mg per day. Some people are also on 40 mg twice a day * The "first line" drug for high blood pressure depends on what other conditions you have. Zestril can be considered first line in certain conditions (see above). Consult with your doctor. * Zestril does protect your kidneys from further damage if you have some evidence of diabetes-related kidney disease. Zestril can also cause some kidney damage, though this is generally temporary. Talk to your doctor. Answered by Aleshia Gostomski 1 year ago.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70. Answered by Myron Geniesse 1 year ago.

Is zestril 10 mg high dose ? is it safe ? is there any different between zestril and lisinopril ?
also i would know which the first line blood pressure medicine ? Asked by Gudrun Eskelson 1 year ago.

Zestril is the brand name for lisinopril so they are the same drug. Your doctor is the best person to decide which is the best blood pressure medicine for you .... there is no first line medicine. Lisinopril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme. Lisinopril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. It is a safe drug. Unfortunately some people may suffer from side effects but not everyone experiences that. 10mg dose is fine for lisinopril. Dose ranges given below. For congestive heart failure: Adults—5 to 20 mg once a day. Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. For high blood pressure: Adults—10 to 40 mg once a day. Children 6 to 16 years of age—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. Children younger than 6 years of age—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. For immediate treatment after a heart attack: Adults—5 mg once a day at first. Your doctor may increase the dose to 10 mg once a day. Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. Can i take benedryl with zestril?
Asked by Bulah Heckenberg 1 year ago.

That's a good question! According to drugs.com/drug-interactions/lisinopril,z... there are 566 drugs that will interact with Zestril. Benadryl is an antihistimine called diphenhydramine, it won't interact with Zestril on it's own. But if you take it in combined form for sinus you might run into trouble so be careful to read the label. Usually it's combined with tylenol, which should be ok, but avoid products that contain aspirin. Answered by Sudie Kadish 1 year ago.

How do privinil/zestril impact the effectiveness of adderall xr?
and do they have any effect on insomnia? Asked by Marnie Alvidrez 1 year ago.

It is unhealthy to "chortle" any treatment that's designed to be taken through mouth. Will it kill you?? potentially, have others performed it and not anything occurred? Probably. So does that imply that that not anything will occur to you? No. Everyones frame chemistry is distinctive. Also, dont suppose someone at the Internet approximately its security. Does zestril , lisinopril ,altace same medicine ?
does 10 mg of zestril = 10 mg of lisinopril = 2.5 mg of altace and does 10 mg of zestril small dose and is it safe for high blood pressure hope to find answer Asked by Johnson Seber 1 year ago.

I take lisinopril for high blood pressure. The most recent prescription I had filled came back from the pharmacist packaged as Zestril. When I first started taking Lisinopril I was on 10mg but that has since been increased to 20mg. Answered by Randal Searle 1 year ago.

Zestril and Lisinopril are both the same medication, they are ACE inhibitors. Ramipril (Altace) is also an ACE inhibitor. Drug therapy (including deciding dosage) for any hypertension, needs to be prescribed by your Dr. Both drugs are used for the management of high blood pressure, heart failure and prevention of heart attack and stroke in people who are at risk. Drug dosage, including changes in drug dosage is dependant upon your diagnosis and your response to any treatment. Answered by Demetra Pereira 1 year ago.

Compare Zestril with Nisedical (heart medications). The Dr. changed meds . . .?
I cannot find any info on Nisedical. Pharmacy - nothing Google - nothing Asked by Kirby Walwyn 1 year ago.

Well your first problem might be spelling. The only heart medication I can find that relates to this is Nifedipine (there are various brand names) This medication is a calcium channel blocker. Nifedipine relaxes (widens) your blood vessels (veins and arteries), which makes it easier for the heart to pump and reduces its workload. Nifedipine is used to lower hypertension (high blood pressure) and to treat angina (chest pain). While Zestril (lisinopril) is in a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Lisinopril is used to lower blood pressure, to treat congestive heart failure, and to improve the survival rate after a heart attack. So, both are used to lower blood pressure however they act differently on the heart. This could go into more detail however I tried to keep it simple. Answered by Audry Tasler 1 year ago.
