9 weeks pregnant, zantac 75?
thanks everyone! the comments are surely calming me down .. but still very worried Asked by Isa Spiwak 1 year ago.

I was so shocked to just find out that i was 9 weeks pregnant because I didn't have any symptoms what-so-ever except the fact of my severe heartburn, which i usually have. But my main concern is during the past two months, i have taken zantac 75 about 10 times. The doctor said the baby has a healthy heartbeat and everything seems fine, but i'm worried to death since i took it from the beginning weeks i was pregnant till recently. Has anyone taken this medicine during pregnancy? Answered by Burl Wunsch 1 year ago.

im 34 weeks pregnant with my second. and with both pregnancies i had/ have really bad heartburn. so my doctor told me to first try tums, that didnt work, then to try zantac and for me that didnt work then she told me to try pepcid, which (thank goodness) it works for me. with my first i didnt take anything cause i was afraid. even though my doctor told me to take something. when my son was born he had acid reflux , which i feel (i know its not possible) but felt like it was because i had such bad heartburn and didnt nothing for it. i felt bad. but with this pregnancy ive been taking heartburn meds. since the beginning of the second trimester. and the doctor even told me if none of the over-the-counter meds. work then she was going to write a prescription. so its fine. if you have heartburn then its fine to still take, unless doctor says otherwise. 9 weeks pregnant zantac 75 Answered by Malvina Soppeland 1 year ago.

I know how you feel, i didn't know i was pregnant either and took 3 meds that aren't to be taken while pregnant but the ultrasounds have shown a healthy growing baby. Just don't take anymore of it from now on and chances are things will be ok. Answered by Alane Connett 1 year ago.

Try finding a doctor that will give you presumptive eligibility until you get approved. That's what I did. Also you can talk to the people at Medicaid about emergency assistance. And you should find out why it will take so long to approve you. It only takes 30 days here in California. It's state law here. Answered by Marg Vascones 1 year ago.

Does Zantac 75 come in chewable tablets?

SHe doesn't mind taking it as she has lots of medication with her Asthma- but this one is a stinker and gags her every time. Maybe a chewable would be better for her if they make one. Are they available like this or just the tiny pill??? Answered by Deadra Freshwater 1 year ago.

I feel for you! I have a three year old daughter who has to take a lot of meds due to lung issues, and some days it can be next to impossible to get all of it in her! I could be wrong, but I don't think Zantac comes in chewables. It does come in liquid form (tastes pretty bad), and I think it also comes in granules that can be dissolved in water. We actually switched my daughter to Prevacid Solutabs at about 12 months, and these work great, probably even better than than the Zantac only without all the drama. At only 3, she can't swallow pills yet, so we dissolve them in a drink of her choice. They must not be too bad because when it is getting close to time to take it, she often reminds me, "Mommy, belly hurts, need my meds please." Good luck! Answered by Nilsa Minnie 1 year ago.

Zantac Chewable Answered by Bernie Botterbusch 1 year ago.

Yes, Zantac does come in a chewable tablets!! It is widely available in Europe, but also in the US. Ask your pharmacist! It is called Zantac- fast. You can read about that on the internet when you google "chewable Zantac". All the best! Answered by Roberta Willoby 1 year ago.

I like chewable tablets especially if they're a good flavor. Isn't it unfair how kids get the tastier medicine? When I take medicine, it's usually a pill (that I swallow). Yuck. Answered by Val Boender 1 year ago.

Is it safe to take Zantac 75 while pregnant?
Just wanted to let everyone know, I called my OB & she says it's perfectly fine to take it. It is a category B drug, and it's ok to take. Thanks for your help. Asked by Tennie Garritson 1 year ago.

I took zantac for awhile, i switched to tums which barely work, i have taken 4 today already, i'm thinking of switching back to zantac... the doctor offered to write me a prescription for heartburn medicine if i wanted, she also recommended taking prilosec which is otc everyday, which helps to prevent it to begin with. check with your doctor about that. Answered by Lori Busscher 1 year ago.

This Site Might Help You. RE: Is it safe to take Zantac 75 while pregnant? Just periodically, like not on a daily basis. Answered by Antoine Cardeiro 1 year ago.

It was on my list of meds I could take and I asked the doctor and they said yes it was okay but it is not something that i can take periodically. I take Zantac 150 2 times a day!! Call your doctors office you don't have to speak to the doctor someone who answers the phone should know and post and let us all know what they said. Answered by Joe Russell 1 year ago.

My doctor started writing me perscriptions for Zantac (150 mg) when I was about 32 weeks. He said I was finally far enough to where he felt comfortable with me taking it. It's a daily pill that I have to take everyday because I have SEVERE acid reflux....(when I miss a pill I have acidic liquid come out my nose..if that gives you any idea how bad it is) It should be okay DEPENDING on how far along you are..BUT NEVER take anything without asking your doc..:) Answered by Delta Coaster 1 year ago.

The only way to get the right answer to this question is to call your OBGYN. There is waaay too much at stake. Best to ask you own Dr, he/she is familiar with you, what you may already be taking, and what specific conditions you may or may not predisposed to. Also, there are many OTC meds, that you can take while pregnant, but only during a certain trimester. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck! Answered by Isabell Heitzmann 1 year ago.

My OBGYN told me that any over the counter acid reducer like Zantac was perfectly safe. My gut told me to just stick with Tums so that's what I did. Answered by Liliana Bresse 1 year ago.

Just check with your doctor, if you cant take the Zantac there is other medications that you can take. My doctor prescribed me Previcid for my horrible heartburn and it works great and does not harm baby. Answered by Myrta Cutsinger 1 year ago.

I asked my doctor,b/c I have reflux/heartburn... they said pepcid, tums, zantac all ok. They are a pregnancy catagory B. safe to take during pregancy, when nothing else helps. I took it with 2 pregnancies, rest assured, it's ok. Answered by Harriet Yoney 1 year ago.

I'm only 14 weeks and my OBGYN said it was ok to take Zantac but everyday. he gae me zantac 75mg.. Answered by Marsha Vehrs 1 year ago.

Yes, you need to get to the doctor. You have over 500 MG of the stuff in your system, and the longer you wait, the more gets absorbed. Answered by Thea Witzke 1 year ago.

Zantac 75 & Alcohol?
I am currently taking zantac 75 for my ulcer that I have, it helps when I eat spicier foods and what not. But my birthday is coming up in a week and I want to go out and have a few drinks( not alot) if I take Zantac for the heartburn that comes with drinking will the alcohol react with the Zantac 75?? Asked by Lauren Waggoner 1 year ago.

drinking with a ulcer is not advised Answered by Meggan Wheeland 1 year ago.

Zantac seems to reduce the redness in some people, for others it does nothing. None of these things are a proper replacement for the alcohol dehydrogenase that your body doesn't make correctly. Alcohol dehydrogenase allows your body to break down alcohol so you don't get poisoned. In many Asians, the enzyme isn't built correctly, and as a result your alcohol dehydrogenase is about 150 times less effective than people without this problem. You run a real risk of getting alcohol poisoning if you drink even a bit too much. There is no real cure to this problem. You can try the Zantac, and it may reduce the symptoms, but I would be careful not to drink ANY more than you do now. You may not show external symptoms right away, but you could still easily kill yourself. Answered by Lottie Enke 1 year ago.

First you shouldn't be drinking anyway with an ulcer, if you do go out for your birthday, stop taking zantac a couple days before, usually 72 hours before you drink, not a good idea to mix any meds with alcohol, also alcohol doesn't help ulcers Answered by Taylor Anttila 1 year ago.

no, the drinks are fine if you are on zantac. there are no intereactions Answered by Foster Spidel 1 year ago.

Go for it............and Happy Birthday Answered by Tuyet Skeans 1 year ago.

Can I take two zantac 75 at once?
I usually take the 150 twice a day but my dad accidentally bought 75's. Can I take two at once to make up for it? It says to only take one on the box but that makes no sense. I called pharmacist and they said I could but she sounded dumb so... second opinion please! Asked by Tressa Grefrath 1 year ago.

Yes, you can two 75mg tablets of Zantac. The pharmacist you talked to is correct. Answered by Bee Fevold 1 year ago.

I am a type 1 diabetic and suffer from frequent night time heartburn so my regular doctor prescribed me Zantac 75 and I took one today and noticed I felt a little dizzy, my heart beat sped up and I was itchy on my arms and legs. After about an hour I was fine but still felt weird when I walked around. Is this normal with this medication? Does this happen at first and go away over time or should I be worried? If the answer is to stop taking it what other medicines would you recommend because my heartburn is unbearable. Thank you for your time. Answered by Moses Englehardt 1 year ago.

Yes, It interacts with Glipizide & can cause the above symptoms, so it is better to get a review from your doctor, even if it is not Glipizide. If there is drug interaction, than it will happen all the time. Answered by Jane Colace 1 year ago.

I am not to familiar with what you can eat on a type one, but i had acid reflux for years and on zantac, i cut carbs like bread and potatoes and milk, and it went away, i eat more greens and of course no sugar but i dont get heart burn anymore, also elivate the head of your bed, and look up or study up on acid or alkyline foods as too much acidic foods causes a ph balance and the acid effects allot not just stomach problems, but acid problems deprive calcium and more and cause other body damage Answered by Laverne Smyrl 1 year ago.

The caution about earplugs isn't a shaggy dog tale. children (and stupid adults) were conventional to swallow earplugs and choke to death on them: "caution: save faraway from toddlers and small children even as no longer in use. those plugs are non-poisonous yet ought to intervene with respiration if stuck in windpipe, which may convey about severe harm or death. Use in straight forward words as directed." Answered by Erminia Mezzenga 1 year ago.

And you should find out why it will take so long to approve you. It only takes 30 days here in California. It's state law here. Answered by Marla Jackosn 1 year ago.

Are they available like this or just the tiny pill??? Answered by Del Rosenblatt 1 year ago.

Answered by Gail Koelle 1 year ago.

Zantac Chewable Answered by Milagros Lenherr 1 year ago.

Yes, Zantac does come in a chewable tablets!! It is widely available in Europe, but also in the US. Ask your pharmacist! It is called Zantac- fast. You can read about that on the internet when you google "chewable Zantac". All the best! Answered by Wilma Komada 1 year ago.

I like chewable tablets especially if they're a good flavor. Isn't it unfair how kids get the tastier medicine? When I take medicine, it's usually a pill (that I swallow). Yuck. Answered by Georgina Wheeling 1 year ago.

Is it safe to take Zantac 75 while pregnant?
Just wanted to let everyone know, I called my OB & she says it's perfectly fine to take it. It is a category B drug, and it's ok to take. Thanks for your help. Asked by Kory Sifre 1 year ago.

This Site Might Help You. RE: Is it safe to take Zantac 75 while pregnant? Just periodically, like not on a daily basis. Answered by Sona Hammette 1 year ago.

It was on my list of meds I could take and I asked the doctor and they said yes it was okay but it is not something that i can take periodically. I take Zantac 150 2 times a day!! Call your doctors office you don't have to speak to the doctor someone who answers the phone should know and post and let us all know what they said. Answered by Ginette Alliston 1 year ago.

My doctor started writing me perscriptions for Zantac (150 mg) when I was about 32 weeks. He said I was finally far enough to where he felt comfortable with me taking it. It's a daily pill that I have to take everyday because I have SEVERE acid reflux....(when I miss a pill I have acidic liquid come out my nose..if that gives you any idea how bad it is) It should be okay DEPENDING on how far along you are..BUT NEVER take anything without asking your doc..:) Answered by Kyong Schoen 1 year ago.

Good luck! Answered by Floretta Amsden 1 year ago.

My OBGYN told me that any over the counter acid reducer like Zantac was perfectly safe. My gut told me to just stick with Tums so that's what I did. Answered by Lucinda Grotelueschen 1 year ago.

Just check with your doctor, if you cant take the Zantac there is other medications that you can take. My doctor prescribed me Previcid for my horrible heartburn and it works great and does not harm baby. Answered by Leia Babikian 1 year ago.

I asked my doctor,b/c I have reflux/heartburn... they said pepcid, tums, zantac all ok. They are a pregnancy catagory B. safe to take during pregancy, when nothing else helps. I took it with 2 pregnancies, rest assured, it's ok. Answered by Sanda Amyot 1 year ago.

Yes, you need to get to the doctor. You have over 500 MG of the stuff in your system, and the longer you wait, the more gets absorbed. Answered by Justin Squitieri 1 year ago.

Asked by Lindsay Hiens 1 year ago.

drinking with a ulcer is not advised Answered by Sierra Jerowski 1 year ago.

Answered by Guadalupe Lisby 1 year ago.

First you shouldn't be drinking anyway with an ulcer, if you do go out for your birthday, stop taking zantac a couple days before, usually 72 hours before you drink, not a good idea to mix any meds with alcohol, also alcohol doesn't help ulcers Answered by Star Blyze 1 year ago.

no, the drinks are fine if you are on zantac. there are no intereactions Answered by Patria Mccluskey 1 year ago.

Asked by William Galati 1 year ago.

Yes, you can two 75mg tablets of Zantac. The pharmacist you talked to is correct. Answered by Shoshana Cherian 1 year ago.

Answered by Dagny Schain 1 year ago.

Yes, It interacts with Glipizide & can cause the above symptoms, so it is better to get a review from your doctor, even if it is not Glipizide. If there is drug interaction, than it will happen all the time. Answered by Iris Wardwell 1 year ago.

I am not to familiar with what you can eat on a type one, but i had acid reflux for years and on zantac, i cut carbs like bread and potatoes and milk, and it went away, i eat more greens and of course no sugar but i dont get heart burn anymore, also elivate the head of your bed, and look up or study up on acid or alkyline foods as too much acidic foods causes a ph balance and the acid effects allot not just stomach problems, but acid problems deprive calcium and more and cause other body damage Answered by Tora Shook 1 year ago.

Use in straight forward words as directed." Answered by Vashti Killings 1 year ago.
