Just take one medicine...Tylenol Cold Multi & get some cough drops Answered by Caleb Shoemake 6 months ago.
Tylenol (acetaminophen) is quite toxic to your liver. I would avoid it and take ibuprofen if you need a painkiller, plus the Benadryl and the cough suppressant as you need them. Robitussin is the same as the Vicks, and there are generics; all containing dextromethorphan. This is an expectorant, which makes you cough up phlegm. Any allergy preparation will do. They make you nice and sleepy. For daytime, there are several medications that dry up your nose and don't make you sleepy. Generally they are some variation on pseudephedrine. Avoid any multi anything! You generally don't need them all at the same time. Answered by Mike Salvesen 6 months ago.
A pill,,,such a tiny little thing if given to a well person, it will make them sick. Why do we think that if given to a sick person, it will make them well? All those cold relievers are just suppresing your immune system GOD created a pretty decent body with an immune system to take care of many infections using all of these medications only suppress your body's own immune system from doing its job think about it...what happens when you get a cold,......you cough, sneezed, runny nose, fever., etc. thats your immune system at work all those meds just suppress your immune system try taking something to support your immune system, like vitamin c (500mg/4hrs) echinecea, goldenseal. keep warm and drink plenty of fluids, tea, juice, etc (sorry, no alcohol) all those meds might make you feel better, but your cold will last longer (might be good if you need a couple days off work/school) eat healthy take your vitamins be well Answered by Devin Watchorn 6 months ago.
Wow you're a chemist. [whatever.] Try sleeping with one of those shop masks, you know the ones that cover your nose and mouth. Like the one you see surgeons wear. They come in blue ot white. Be sure to spread/smear Vicks on the inside. Just near the area of the nose. It's similar to one of those vapor machine that you put next to the bed. Don't tighten it, leave it relaxed fit to allow air to flow in and out. Answered by Antonia Lattanzio 6 months ago.
Vicks cough syrup formula 44 it says non drowsy but is it really non drowsy?? it doesnt have codine in it?...?
Asked by Slyvia Eskins 6 months ago.
It doesn't have codeine in it. No cough med you can buy over the counter has codeine. Many cough meds have dextromethorphan as a cough suppressant. It causes drowsiness, especially if diphenhydramine is included. A type sold as "non drowsy" will not have these ingredients. The major brands sell various versions of their cough meds, and if they sell them as non drowsy then they don't have these ingredients. Answered by Joseph Lafone 6 months ago.

On the back of Formula 44 Multi-Symptom from Vicks, it says "Excitability may occur" what does that mean?
I was sick one day and took it, and while reading the drug facts and information, I noticed it said "Excitability may occur, especially in children" under the "When using this product" part. I was wondering just what exactly does that mean?
Asked by Lorie Trapalis 6 months ago.
It contains a stimulant (pseudoephedrine). This compound is related to meth but a much less potents CNS stimulant. So think of it as the warning on a can of Rockstar. However, the antihistamine in it could be a sedative (Chlorpheniramine). Which ever one has a greater impact on an individual will determine if they are "excitable" or "drowsy." Answered by Shona Ostroff 6 months ago.
That's called an "adverse reaction' or rebound side effect. The normal effects of a cold medication on people is drowsiness, but some people may experience the exact opposite...especially children because of their low body weight. That happens to me with antihistamines. Everyone else I know gets really tired when they take it...but I'm up all night and feel like I could bounce off the walls. You get agitated, can't sit still, up and down, but tired. irritable sometimes. All other answers are correct.. Answered by Grady Jasmine 6 months ago.
What will happen if i drink vicks mixed with warm water?
i drank mixed vicks in warm water and i drank it. what will happen? i know its stupid but i cant stand the cough.
Asked by Basil Varty 6 months ago.
What Vick's product did you drank? If it was a Vick's Formula 44, Nyquil, or Dayquil, it's ok because they're meant to be taken per orem. Warm water will not cause a significant chemical reaction to Vick's medical properties since water is a universal solvent, warm or not. However, if you did drank warm water mixed with Vick's vaporub or other Vick's product not meant to be taken by mouth, then that's another story...you need to have your head examined if you did drank one of those. :D Answered by Kent Kehl 6 months ago.
You should not drink vicks or put it on your tongue, This was done years ago, and children developed pneumonia from it. Use Nyquil instead. Vicks ointment has eucylyptus in it, meant to be put on the chest and you inhale the vapors while asleep. or under your nose. Can't believe you did that, Try an antihistamine, Benadryl, Chlortrimeton or zyrtec on a routine basis, cough can be from sinus infections, sinus draingage, lung infection or stomach reflux. and you can have all of them at the same time. Answered by Hiroko Tuppen 6 months ago.
you could in trouble-free terms take specific medicine by using actuality the drugs could desire to harm your fetus. Seriously? Vicks Formula 44 Cough and Cold. Only has the one main ingredient that you want to trip (unlike the added ingredient aspirin in Triple Cs, that messes up your liver in high doses.). Chug a bottle to get a moderately high dose of DXM (that one main ingredient you want) and enjoy. The one time I did it I melted into my bed it was nuts. Eat something though that's a lot of liquid DXM, might make you queasy. DXM in pills are better. But that's one way to do it legally. NoDoz caffeine pills are okay. Same as drinking a lot of coffee. Will mess with your stomach in large doses (IE increased bathroom visits) No, incense won't get you high, but it smells good =) Best way to do it, get a connect and smoke the herb, ganja, trees, green, puff, etc. Answered by Leopoldo Schuler 6 months ago.
1. y dont u just smoke weed 2. no u cant get high off of incense. 3. u can sniff glue.. like shoe glue, inside a paper bag... well u dont really sniff it,u inhale it.. Answered by Shad Jeffress 6 months ago.
