While the mechanism through which Vasotec lowers blood pressure is believed to be primarily suppression of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Side effects include: headache, dizziness, light-headedness, weakness, nausea, dry cough or blurred vision as your body adjusts to the medication. This drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver problems. Are you sure you are spelling the others correctly? Answered by Kathyrn Kuhle 1 year ago.

Why do individuals cough while taking VASOTEC(enalapril)?
I know its a side effect...but whats causes the side effect? Asked by Leo Lapping 1 year ago.

A cough with Vasotec (or similar drugs, called ACE inhibitors) is a common side effect. Tell your doctor. He/she may try another drug in the same class or switch to an ARB (ACE receptor blocker). These drugs are also very good at blood pressure control. OK, you asked for it: it appears that angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors cause cough and angioedema through a cascade of effects that begins with the accumulation of kinins, and then involves arachidonic acid metabolism and nitric oxide generation Answered by Frank Casares 1 year ago.

it may be a side effect of the medication several BP meds have this side effect. to be sure you need to contact the doc that put you on this medication Answered by Glory Winkleman 1 year ago.

Vasotec or Norvasc........ Asked by Tomika Murakami 1 year ago.

No. Blood pressure meds are not narcotic and won't show up on any drug tests. Answered by Jeana Heyman 1 year ago.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70. Answered by Irene Sefcovic 1 year ago.

Do blood pressure medicine show up on drug test?
Vasotec or Norvasc........ Asked by Sylvester Arrojo 1 year ago.

No. Blood pressure meds are not narcotic and won't show up on any drug tests. Answered by Maranda Hirschhorn 1 year ago.

Answered by Darby Cupe 1 year ago.

Unless it contains an illegal drug, no. They're looking for recreational, illegal drugs, not trying to bust you for the medicine you take. Before you take the test, you'll probably have to answer questions about medicines you take and foods you've recently eaten, so you'll be able to let the tester know about it ahead of time. Answered by Elvera Mcguigan 1 year ago.

Why do individuals cough while taking VASOTEC(enalapril)?
I know its a side effect...but whats causes the side effect? Asked by Vernie Phillis 1 year ago.

A cough with Vasotec (or similar drugs, called ACE inhibitors) is a common side effect. Tell your doctor. He/she may try another drug in the same class or switch to an ARB (ACE receptor blocker). These drugs are also very good at blood pressure control. OK, you asked for it: it appears that angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors cause cough and angioedema through a cascade of effects that begins with the accumulation of kinins, and then involves arachidonic acid metabolism and nitric oxide generation Answered by Merrilee Stiefel 1 year ago.

it may be a side effect of the medication several BP meds have this side effect. to be sure you need to contact the doc that put you on this medication Answered by Tawanda Krostag 1 year ago.
