Is Vascor and Vascoride the same?
These are 2 medicines produce by different drug companies. Asked by Abraham Seidlitz 1 year ago.

They are entirely different medications. The generic name for Vascor is Bepridil hydrochloride - it belongs to a class of medications termed the calcium channel blockers. It works to reduce blood pressure and heart rate when these become a problem. It is also used for relief of angina. Don't remember the last time I used this drug - don't believe doctors use it that much. Vascoride on the other hand is a combination pill that contains a medication known as Imidapril (belonging to a class of drugs known as the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors - ACEIs) and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) (belongs to a class of drugs known as diuretics). Imidapril and other ACEIs are excellent medications that reduce high blood pressure, protect your heart and kidneys, and are widely used for hypertension especially in the setting of kidney disease; whereas diuretics are a class of medications that stimulate urine output, thereby increasing water and salt loss from the body - thus, relieving ankle edema that characteristically occurs in states of high blood pressure or heart failure, and also help to control high blood pressures. The combination of Imidapril and HCTZ is a new addition to the market, but similar combinations have existed for long time now. I'm not aware of any special advantages of this particular combination over the other older ones. Answered by Narcisa Sustaire 1 year ago.

Yes it is the same! When people are discriminated against because what they want or need does not fit the definition of what the majority says, it is just wrong. People want to fight change, they look in the dictionary for what marriage says, it does say it is between a man and a woman. What they do not realize is, the definition was defined by men, and as such it will be subject to fine tuning from time to time, as many words in the English language have. A better definition for marriage would be two people who love one another and wish to make a life long commitment to one another. That along with all the other already existing definitions is what Marriage truly is, the sex of the two parties should not be an issue. Osborne_pkg: Maybe do some research? Slavery, Woman's rights, and Interracial marriage were all in opposition by the Majority. The majority fought against freeing slaves, women voting, and interracial marriages, only to be corrected by the minority. That is what is happening now with Gay rights! It's no longer sold in the US. If you're already taking the medicine don't stop without talking to your doctor. Answered by Nevada Umphlett 1 year ago.

are you sure it's banned? because if it is, it should have been deleted from the mims. i have the 2006/2007 edition. if you want to be on the safe side though, you can ask your doctor to prescribe another ACE/anti-hypertensive drug. Answered by Carl Jericho 1 year ago.

I just want to know if vascoride can reduce my sexual capability? or impotent me?
My doctor change my maintenace for my high blood presure from vascor to vascoride for just one month ago. I just wondering if that cause me impotent, because some of my friends told me that it cause? Thank you Asked by Cherry Piersall 1 year ago.

I did some research on this drug, and thats not one of the side effects listed. The answer is no. Good luck! IMIDAPRIL HCl HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE Vascoride Enhanced BP Protection at No Extra Cost Indications Imidapril-hydrochlorothiazide tablet is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Dosage and Administration * Initial Dose: 1 tablet once daily * This preparation is not intended as first-line therapy. It should be initiated in hypertensive patients whose blood pressure is not controlled (>140/90 mmHg) with single-dose antihypertensive treatment. * Adjust dosage based on clinical response. Contraindications Imidapril-hydrochlorothiazide tablet is contraindicated in patients with the following: * Known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product * History of angioneurotic edema * Sulfonamide hypersensitivity or thiazide diuretic hypersensitivity because of the risk of cross-sensitivity * Renal failure and anuria since thiazide diuretics are considered ineffective when the creatinine clearance is less than 30 mL/minute. Precautions Use with caution in patients with the following conditions: * Sodium depletion or hypovolemia, and those undergoing dialysis, major surgery or during anesthesia since severe hypotension may occur. * Renal disease, especially among elderly patients; Increased age and impaired renal function may decrease the urinary excretion of imidapril and its metabolites. Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) may also decrease the glomerular filtration rate and may precipitate azotemia in these patients. * Unilateral or bilateral artery stenosis since increase in blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine may occur. * Renal dysfunction that is critically dependent on the activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAS) (e.g., patients with heart failure) since angiotensin-II receptor antagonists affect the RAS system and have caused increases in serum creatinine and renal failure in susceptible individuals. * Hepatic disease since minor alterations of fluid and electrolyte balance may precipitate hepatic coma. * Gout or hyperuricemia since thiazide diuretics such as HCTZ have been reported to reduce the clearance of uric acid. * History of pancreatitis since thiazide diuretics have been reported to cause pancreatitis.
