Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream Uses Answered by Ellen Shade 4 months ago.

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell. I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. Some of the treatments that I underwent in this depressing period of 13 years included tar preparation, tropical steroids and anthralin. I was also given light therapy many times but everything I tried would give me temporary relief. And soon, after a few days I would be plagued with the situation again. In one of those moments when I was completely lost I stumbled upon this website just by chance. I read it and felt that as if someone had put the story my life on this web page. I was thoroughly convinced that if ANYONE can cure me of condition, it would be you. And was I right, or what. I started recovering within 3 days of starting this treatment. Something that had become a painful part of me for 13 years was actually getting healed! My ears are healed and my neck is smooth again!. I am a month into the treatment and I have never felt better in my life! Psoriasis Revolution? Answered by Kristopher Sidener 4 months ago.

triamcinolone acetonide is a steroid. it have many uses. but for cream preparation, it will be used to treat skin diseases. among the skin diseases that can be treated with this type of cream is psoriasis and some type of eczema. though it is very effective for treatment of skin diseases, it came with disadvantages. the side effect that we are worried for are like systemic side effect of steroid that is, when you stop having it, you will have acute steroid deficiency in your body and this is life threateaning. so before taking this drug make sure you had doctor advise. Glucocorticoids vs. Corticosteroids Budesonide in comparison other corticosteroids has little influence on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis which also limit the need of tapering before discontinuation. Budesonide are glucocorticoids are a class of steroid hormones characterised by an ability to bind with the cortisol receptor and trigger similar effects. Glucocorticoids are distinguished from mineralocorticoids and sex steroids by the specific receptors, target cells, and effects. Technically, the term corticosteroid refers to both glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids, but is often used as a synonym for glucocorticoid. Triamcinolone Acetonide are Corticosteroids are hormones produced naturally by the adrenal glands which have many important functions on every organ system. Corticosteroids affect the strength of heart muscle and its response to natural chemicals affecting heart rate. They affect the water and salt balance in the body and also enable the body to cope with stress. Stress includes changes in temperature, pain, fear, anxiety and illness and can be hazardous if the body is not equiped to cope, due to low levels of corticosteroids. Corticosteroids allow us to respond to stress by increasing the rate and force of the heartbeat, increasing blood supply to essential tissues (muscle, heart, brain), increasing the body's supply of energy by raising blood sugar and by several other effects on body systems. Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid and is given by injection in many situations where a lasting corticosteroid effect is required. This includes replacement therapy in people whose adrenal glands are not producing enough natural steroids (adrenal insufficiency) and decreasing inflammation in certain disease states. Corticosteroids decrease inflammation by acting within cells to prevent the release of certain chemicals that are important in the immune system. These chemicals are normally involved in producing immune and allergic responses, resulting in inflammation. By decreasing the release of these chemicals in a particular area, inflammation is reduced. This can help control a wide number of disease states, characterised by excessive inflammation. They include severe allergic reactions, inflammation of the lungs in asthma and inflammation of the joints in arthritis. The injection can be given as a single dose to people who suffer from hayfever and don't respond to conventional therapy. This can relieve symptoms over the entire hayfever period. Triamcinolone may also be given by injection directly into a joint to relieve inflammation and pain and increase mobility of the affected joint, in conditions such as arthritis. Triamcinolone also decreases the numbers of white blood cells circulating in the blood. This is useful for the treatment of certain types of leukaemia, where there is an abnormally large production of certain white blood cells. It is also used to treat some diseases which are caused by the immune system attacking the body's own tissues (auto immune diseases). Triamcinolone is used in much higher doses than the levels of corticosteroids produced naturally by the body, and as such, the usual actions of corticosteroids become exaggerated and can be observed as side effects of this medicine. are hormones produced naturally by the adrenal glands which have many important functions on every organ system. Can i use triamcinolone acetonide cream on my canker sore?
I have a huge canker sore and my mom said it would be good on a canker sore. is this ok to use? Asked by Adrien Besarra 4 months ago.

Triamcinolone acetonide cream should NOT be used on a canker sore. This cream is specifically for skin conditions such as eczema or any other symptoms with skin such as redness, swelling, or itchyness. It's only for external use only because if you ingested a certain dosage, it can have severe side effects. To lessen the pain, I suggest you use canker sore medicine like Orajel or Kanka. Orajel is easier to put on because it's more of a gel whereas Kanka is more "liquidy" and the applicator is weird, but the results are the same. I also suggest you use mouthwash everyday (morning and night) to kill bacteria and make it go away faster. It hurts because of the alcohol, but this is so that it kills the bacteria and prevents it from recurring again if you were to have another cut. Answered by Lyn Naranjo 4 months ago.

Is Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment good for people with eczema in their scalp? What exactly does it do?
Asked by Sal Luing 4 months ago.

Triamcinolone is a topical steroid that is pretty good for eczema although I'm not sure what the directions are for using it on your scalp. It is pretty much used to help calm the itching and redness. If you use it anywhere other than your scalp make sure you don't wrap the area that you applied it to unless directed by your doctor because that can increase the absorption and cause side effects. Be careful if the eczema is infected though. Mine got infected once and my doctor told me that putting the triamcinolone on it was like putting gas on a fire.
