Does taking Tenuate during pregnancy harm the baby?
I took Tenuate the entire 9 months of my pregnancy and had a low weight baby who has/was/is very difficult. This med was prescribed to me by my OBGYN years ago. I think it harmed my son. He is now 44 years old and a mental and social wreck. Asked by Blythe Massee 1 year ago.

Tenuate is also known as diethylpropion. It's not known to cause problems in pregnancy. However, the studies that are typically done really only look at whether children born after medication exposure have birth defects, mental retardation, or other effects that can be seen at the time of birth or within the first year after delivery. Nobody really looks a t whether there are long-term problems with social, emotional, or psychological development. Answered by Casey Henton 1 year ago.

This drug is not sold anymore, does it go by another name? Answered by Rochelle Franklyn 1 year ago.

I've been taking phentermine for 5 months now, but it isn't working anymore for me.should I try tenuate?
would Tenuate have the same effect as phentermine? Asked by Earnest Fryberger 1 year ago.

Probably not! The tenuate is less potent than the phentermine. Most folks tolerate the tenaute pretty well, however I for one did not. The medication sent me into a hypertensive crisis... so I am not much for recommending tenuate. I am on the same drugs, and they are using phendimetrazine (Bontril), in combination with the phentermine (Adipex) with me. Tenuate is definitely not the way to go... especially if you are relying solely on the medications for appetite suppression. Answered by Corazon Cutrer 1 year ago.

tenuate and phentermine are desigend to do the same thing. they have a slow release system to act as an appetite suppresant. phentermine is a fairly old formula, well tried and tested, whereas tenuate is almost a more modern generic. It would be almost impossible to determine if there is any real benefit by switching from one to the other. THere are companies who specialize only in appetite suppressants and weight control products. Total control is probably the most advanced of appetite control supplements, it also boosts the metabolism, builds energy and does not have any side effects related to restlesness or irritability. It certainly does more to promote weight loss by giving your system a boost so it burns fat quicker. It is aherbalife product, they only work in the weight/appetite sector and are well established. try www.myhealthabc.com or myhealthabcmall.com and you can review the ingredients etc. If your current product isnt working then i would suggest you switch to someone who knows tha area of expertise. good luck. Answered by Hannelore Rhatigan 1 year ago.

This is what happens with phentermine. It works great and then your body becomes used to it and it stops working. Right around then, you start getting addicted. Stop taking it for a few months and then start again. Just be careful not to gain all the weight back. Answered by Belen Seti 1 year ago.

Is tenuate an ok pill for a 12 year old to be taking??
I feel fine when I take it it is ok I guess what do u think? Asked by Rikki Rancourt 1 year ago.

Are you taking Tenuate as an appetite surpressent to lose weight? If so, then 12 is too young for that. You are still growing and your body is changing a lot, so you need to try an exercise or diet program before turning to medication. Also, safety and effectiveness have not been established or studied in children under the age of 12. Tenuate is meant for adults, so even though you are not "under the age of 12", you're really close and you're definitely not an adult. Tenuate will lose its effectiveness within a few weeks. When this begins to happen, you should discontinue the medicine rather than increase the dosage. If you were not prescribed this by a doctor, then you definitely should NOT be taking it, regardless of how you "feel" when you try it. Answered by Mandie Zwigart 1 year ago.

Tenuate Dospans used to be called 'tombstones', but I think that was just because of the shape they used to make them. I don't think they are any more dangerous than normal speed, but a girl I knew took two with a tab of acid and didn't come down for six months. So I don't know. 12 is a bit young to be getting into drug abuse anyway. There are too many negative sides to the hobby. Like arrest and insanity and death. Answered by Lieselotte Greenburg 1 year ago.

My Dr. Is taking me off Adderall XR So I can take Tenuate. Will I feel any different?
I have been on Adderall XR for almost 2 years. The weight lost in the begining has come back ( Long story) I just wanna know if the effects of Tenuate will resemble the effects of when I first began Adderall. Thanks in Advance ;) Asked by Patrick Olliver 1 year ago.

Well, im assuming you were given the generic tenuate (diethylpropion) and depending on wether it was the 25 or 75 will make a difference of the side effects, also your tolerance will make a big difference, I've heard more people complain of side effects with phentermine than the gen. tenuate so chances are you may not notice any side effects at all, the most common side effect ive heard people complain of has been a little bit of dizziness and possibly shakiness whereas with then adderall the side effects expanded into irritability, dry mouth, headaches, and the list goes on...if you go to webmd there is a place you can look up the drug and the side effects, every drug can affect people differently if adderall didn't bother you more than likely tenuate wont either, like I said before though I haven't heard many complaints from tenuate I work as a pharmacy tech and we fill quite a bit of it...I dont know if I helped but hopefully I did. Tenuate Pills have no writing on them?
I have these Tenuate Pills and they are just plain white pills, they have milligram dosage on it at all. It's just 20 plain white pills. Is this safe to take? Asked by Alfonzo Vittone 1 year ago.

It's legally required that all pills (in the US anyway) have an imprint code. Isn't tenuate a prescription weight loss aid? And don't a lot of people order those online or get them from MX? If these didn't come from a pharmacy I'd be careful. If they came from a questionable source chances are theyre fake. Prolly wont make you sick, but prolly won't help you lose weight or put any pep in your step. I wouldn't chance it. Answered by Florance Rojo 1 year ago.

What precisely is the med.Tenuate Retard? what is difference from Tenuate Dospan (diethylpropion hydrochloride?
Asked by Hyo Hickel 1 year ago.

There is no difference it's just brad names the name you worry about is diethypropion hydrochloride.... and im guessing its either 25 or 75 mg... my thinking is that whenever i come accross it saying retard is a foreign meaning for time release so it could be timed release but i know that chemical is a great anti depresent so similar to wellbutrin but also similar to methyphenidate not prescribed too much because it is so similar to wellbutrin they would prescribe that first because tenuate has abuse potential.... if used recreationally or snorted or misused in anyway it can have similiar effects to amphetamines( not nearly as speedy or euphoric and a cross between MDMA in chemical structure yet not nearly the warming flush feeling and waves of euphoria).... have used it to lose weight/anti-depress at the same time don't care too much for it did feel mild euphoria when snorted but use correctly and you may help with your depression focus or migranes because also read it's prescribed for that manner too. retard and dospan are different brand title names my only logic everytime i saw it being time released it was reffered to as retard but i did see it sometimes not time released or maybe forggotten to mention it. GOOD LUCK Answered by Jacinto Galimi 1 year ago.

Questions on tenuate and tenuate dospan?
I will be able to get my prescription filled on Monday. The doctor is going to put me on a 1000 calorie a day diet. I need some help on a diet plan with just regular everyday foods, and anything fancy. Please give me some good ideas Asked by Nikita Stanowski 1 year ago.

Personally I wouldn't touch tenuate dospan. It has the same effects as amphetamines, can ruin your sleeping patterns and you can't take it forever. That said, eat high fibre, low fat low glycaemic index foods with lots of water and plenty fruit and veg. Good luck with the dieting! Answered by Marty Okuley 1 year ago.
