Out of curiosity I was wondering if anybody knew of the name of the medication I'm describing. It's a thick black medication with a strong odor. It is given IV for what I believe to be is anemia. Yes, what you describe is an iron injection medication. It is sold under the name..DexFerrrum, or InFeD, or Proferdex or just ferrin dextran. Answered by Nicholle Savickas 1 year ago.
