Do any of the ingredients in this contain gluten?
Water, milk protein concentrate, sunflower oil, soy protein isolate, coffee, natural and artificial flavors, cellulose gel, magnesium phosphate, calcium phosphate, potassium citrate, sodium hexametaphosphate, cellulose gum, sucralose, carrageenan, vitamin mineral mix (zinc gluconate, ferric orthophosphate, d-alpha-tocophero; acetate, niacinamide, manganese gluconate, maltodextrine, d-calcium pntothenate, beta carotene, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine hydrochloride, riboflavin, chromium chloride, folic acid, biotin, potassium iodide, sodium molybdate, sodium selenite, vitamin K-1 and cyanocobalamin), salt, acesulfame potassium, sodium ascorbate.
the natural and artificial flavors and the maltodextrin are both questionable. whatever the item is i would look it up on google and see if anyone on or something has posted about it. just type in _______________ gluten free and usually something will come up for it. until you know for sure i would stay away from it because its iffy.
hope this helps!
God bless XD

Any general multivitamin should help. Remember this is a supplement to your nutrition that you're getting in your food. The nutrients from your food are absorbed into your body better than what's in a vitamin.
Potassium citrate and potassium chloride?
If someone has been on Potassium citrate (urocit-k) for 9 years (for Cystinuria/Kidney stones), why would a doctor have them to start taking both the potassium citrate and the potassium chloride, together? Especially if that person has developed High blood pressure?
Why are Potassium tablets so low in the DV%?
I have looked at all the other supplements at GNC, like Vitamin C and Magnesium for example, and they have well over 100% of the DV. However, Potassium is only like 3 or 4% of the daily value, why is this? It seems pointless to buy if that is all the Potassium you are getting.
I don't know, it does seem pointless but I am thinking that because Potassium is so easily obtained in the human diet they think that they don't have to put very much in the tablets. Or because they think people don't care to read the label and just pick up any random supplement they see.
I have to take Potassium and Magnesium bc I'm on diuretics - Does it matter between Calcate, Citrate, Carbo-
-nate etc. Also, does using Potassium Chloride (NoSalt) count towards Potassium supplementation?
Citrate and carbonate are good forms to take. NoSalt would count, too.
Note that the different forms of the minerals have different molecular weights, so make sure you get the right amount of the mineral. Check the label to see how much potassium or magnesium is in a tablet of the supplement.

What is the difference between potassium chloride an potassium bicarbonate?
In terms of healthy balance of bodily electrolytes, I'm not sure what difference there is between the two. Is it as simple as potassium chloride is the combination of the electrolytes potassium + chloride while potassium bicarbonate is the combination of the electrolytes potassium + bicarcarbonate? I'm not sure if it breaks down that simply.
Yes, it actually is that simple. Potassium bonds very well to both chloride and bicarbonate. Potassium has a +1 charge, while both chloride and bicarbonate have a -1 charge.

Check out this site for a detailed description of these three electrolytes and their effect on the body:
Why is there never a supplement that can provide a 100% DV of potassium?
I have constant muscle spasms in twitches and I was advised to take potassium and drink more water by both a doctor and a massuse. I've noticed that most any of them ever say is 3%. Is too much potassium a bad thing?
Yes, too much K is a bad thing. It can cause kidney failure. I was put on a supplement by a doc and i didn't actually need it and i OD'd my kidney's went into whats called Azotemia which is a condition where your kidneys are messing up but aren't in actual renal failure. I was so sick for like a week til my body got it all out of my system. Stick to eating K rich foods like bananas and dark green leafy veggies. Don't mess with K supplements they will mess up your body.

Musashi is the highest quality and safest stuff but is the most expensive. However i get it off ebay (cheap postage like 20 bucks if in same country) 4 kg lasts me a year and it costs 120 bucks. It is brilliant not just for protein but it gives so much energy in general.

I would take it to start off as it will be a big help.I am 20 and have been going to the gym for three years. I took whey protein all they way up to about 5 months ago. I wasn't hardcore with it, i took it with milk once of twice a day. It was brilliant stuff not only did it help my muscles after the gym but it gave me so much energy it was ridiculous. I was having 5 teaspoons a day so not that much if you compare it to what they suggest (which is like 12 teaspoons a day). I took the best stuff which is musashi it actually tastes good and is the best one out there. However at the start of this year i was feeling queezy all day and felt like iw as going to throw up the entire day but i never did. Dad suggested i stop taking the stuff and a week later the feeling went away and it has not come back. So i think long term is probably bad but do it for a year to build up and you`ll be fine. It will definently speed the process up for you.

If of course you don't want it then do what i do now. Normal milk has 8 grams of protein a glass so i have 3 glasses a day. I have eggs usually with breakfast with an apple and bran type cereal, a proper dinner every night. But the most important thing is a proper lunch. Whatever i have for dinner the night before i get mum to make extra and have it for lunch the next day. This is excellent if going to the gym after breakfast etc. So make sure you do eat properly. In the end if you weigh 80 kilograms like me you want just over 160 grams of protein a day.

With the whole creatine thing
Creatine is a white powder that is good when going to the gym. You obtain about 2 grams of creatine per day from eating meat and you can take extra but should not take more than 8 grams per day. creatine provides direct energy to muscle cells in the body and utilzes a lot of water. it is for this reason that if you take to much you kidneys can be affected. If you take a ridiculous amount and you do not absorb it (sits in your digestive system) then your digestive systtem is flooded with water and it can make you sick in the stomach.

there are also other supplements such as phosphourous and nitrogen but unless you want to get real serious these are not necessary. Just remember not to take to much of anything.
Is sodium phosphate an unhealthy additive?
I bought a turkey and it says it contains up to a 10% solution of broth, salt, and sodium phosphate, is sodium phosphate unhealthy or not? What exactly is it? (I'm sorry I don't know that much about this)
Sodium Phosphates is a food additive. It is used to increase the shelf life and add a texture to the food and add a ‘look’ that is pleasing and appealing to the consumer, and which will entice them to purchase and eat the product.
It can be found in all varieties off foods including (but not exclusive too) soups, readymade food, cheeses, CHICKENS, cakes....
A small number of people can develop a intolerance to Sodium Phosphate. They may experience a stiff neck, foot cramps and dizziness... perhaps a little like a hangover. Seek medical attention in such an event.

weight gaining shake dangerous?
My brother is 14 and is a going to be a freshamn in High School. He is on the JV Football team and is trying to "beef up." My father, against my mother and I's will, has bought him a weight gaining shake to help him gain weight. I am very scared that this shake will mess with his internal organs and that his body isnt prepared to metabloze that kind of calorie/vitamin/mineral intake all at once. i will list the ingrediants below and the brand and hopefully will get some answers to help satisfy my big sister paranoia.

Cyto Gainer

Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Hydrolysate, Creatine Monohydrate, Vitamin A Acetate, Cholecalciferol, D-Alpha-Tocopherol Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Folate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Niacinamide, Pyridoxin HCL, Cyanocobalamin, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Dicalcium Phosphate, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Chloride, Ferrous Fumarate, Magnesium Oxide, Chromium Nicotinate, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Soy Lecithin, Potassium Citrate, Carrageenan
Weight gainers are not anything special - just protein usually and creatine. I don't think that should be a problem or have any adverse effects, but I'd probably just go with a whey protein, that did NOT have creatine.
Is it alright to take different herbal pills at the same time?
I want to know if it is safe to take some of these at the same time ( not specifically at the same time as eachother, just within the same day kind of thing)

5; acai berry capsules
Lola Rice
As far as safety is concerned, as long as your are not pregnant, I would think that the only one I would not take with these others is the chromium picolinate. It appears in the list in product number 3, so do not take number 4 as well. The B6 should help you deal with stress. Many of the other herbs sound familiar. Number one is interesting. Don't know much about motherwort. They use a lot of hops in Europe.
Good luck. Hope you feel lots of energy and can enjoy the exercise you will be doing on your program, right?

It's just as good as any other brand on the market.
Read the entire label to see if it has been evaluated or endorsed by the FDA.
Soy Protein Isolate is probably one of the most toxic foods out there it was classified in 1979 by FESAB as only to be used in sealing cardboard boxes.
What are the effects of spironolactone on acne? Also,if I get 2 much potassium from this drug, what can happen?
I am wondering about the drug Spironolactone and it's effects on people taking it for acne. Since this drug dramatically increases potassium in the bloodstream, what the the effects if a person takes too much potassium? Are their side effects? I thought potassium was a good thing, but I hear now that too much can kill you?
Excessive potassium can cause a heart arrythmia (irregular rhythm). When taking any drug that can alter electrolyte balance, periodic blood work needs to be done.

Question about different types of Clindamycin Phosphate products?
The past year I have been using clidamycin phosphate GEL for acne and it worked fairly well. I just went back to the doctor for a refill since it ran out and when I picked it up from Walgreen's, it is a topical solution that you dab on instead of a gel. Do you think it will work as well?
Il's the sae product and it will work as well.

I'm having effects from low potassium again?
This morning my feet were stuck in a cramp for about an hour. Last time I had low potassium that kept my hands in cramps for hours at a time, I was pregnant and had to be hospitalized. I was in premature labor to add to the mix and they had me on magnesium sulfate to stop it. My level was 2.4 when I got there. I took the huge pills with orange juice 3x a day and within 3 days they got up to 3.5. It was decided that it must have been me missing the potassium in my diet even though I craved bananas, OJ, tangerines and I still do really always had a thing for oranges. So I've been extra careful to keep those things in my diet now I had that cramp which is coming back in my right foot I wonder is this a deficiecy or what? I am nursing, which takes a lot of calories but I eat right probably more nutritious foods because I'm nursing I don't think I should be lacking potassium when I drink OJ and eat bananas all the time. Then I'm reading up on low potassium on the internet and come across magnesium and potassium balance *I was on magnesium sulfate last time my potassium level was critical and I'm wondering if the reason my levels went up so well in the hospital is because of the magnesium sulfate. Does that make sense? At least it seems to make sense to me and I have to go in today my nurse said because last time it was so low and I'm going to ask the doctor about it.
Mitch & Katie's Mama
Lack of potassium in the diet is an uncommon cause of hypokalemia (low potassium). Conditions that cause hypokalemia are: kidney disorders that affects kidney function – the kidneys may excrete too much potassium, magnesium deficiency, high aldosterone levels can cause low potassium levels, certain drugs, severe vomiting, diarrhea, sweating during intense exercise, malaborption problems. Diseases that cause hypokalemia are Liddle’s syndrome, Cushing’s syndrome, Fanconi’s syndrome, and Bartter’s syndrome.

Calcium cannot absorb without vitamin D and vice versa. Calcium cannot be assimulated in the body without magnesium. If you have low magnesium you need to take calcium at a 2:1 ratio eg 1000mg of calcium to 500mg of magnesium and vitamin D 5000IU a day is recommended. The most accurate and reliable blood test available for magnesium and calcium is an "ionized" test.

Is it ok to take Spironolactone and potassium supplements?
I don't food rich in potassium, so I start supplementing with 2 supplements per day which provide a total of 6% of my daily value. I also take spironolactone 25mg once a this safe? I know that drug causes potassium to stay in the body. Since I started this new drug last week, I've been very sleepy.
Lifes a beach
Spironolactone often increases serum potassium levels and can cause hyperkalemia, a very serious condition. Therefore, it is recommended that people using this drug avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes containing potassium. Doctors usually recommend periodic screening of serum potassium levels and some patients may be advised to limit dietary consumption of potassium.

Do not use spironolactone if you have kidney disease, urination problems, or high levels of potassium in your blood. Do not use salt substitutes or low-sodium milk products that contain potassium. These products could cause your potassium levels to get too high while you are taking spironolactone.

If you are taking potassium supplements or other potassium-sparing diuretics such as Aldactazide, amiloride (Midamor, Moduretic), or triamterene (Dyrenium, Dyazide, Maxzide).

Check with your doctor regarding your sleepy symptom if this continues. Are you taking this for high blood pressure? Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is caused by low potassium. So, your doctor needs to evaluate your potassium levels as this could be causing your fatigue.

Hope this helps.

I am taking losartan potassium "LIFEZAR" 50mg to control my blood presure, can I substitute it?
I am working in the desert, and the only available losartan potassium here in "COZAAR". Since both medicines are losartan potassium, could I take "COZAAR" 50mg if ever I run out of "LIFEZAR" 50mg. "LIFEZAR" is a brand name of losartan potassium in the Philippines. Thanks.
yes you can, though you will need a prescription from a doctor here to get it. All I would do is find a doc and bring you bottles.

You'll be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. If you start having other pains or other symptoms I would contact someone then.

Hoped I helped!!

According to Wikipedia, you need a total of 2,000 milligrams of potassium and 2,400 grams of sodium a day. Do the math, find out how much you need.

How can you tell if clindamycin phosphate is expired?
I use Clindamycin phosphate and benzoyl peroxide gel, 1%*5% for my acne. It is listed to expire October 18 of this year, but I left it in my car when it was pretty hot out a couple days ago. The directions that came with it said it should stay at room temperature. I've noticed that it smells different.. should I be worried?
Yea, especially if it expires in less than a month.

Question about acne? Please answer.?
Are these good ingredients for an acne medicine..

Active Ingredients
Salicylic Acid - 2 %Acne Medication

Inactive Ingredients
Water (Aqua) , Cetyl Alcohol , PPG-15 Stearyl Ether , Polyethylene , Microcrystalline Wax , Steareth-21 , Polysorbate 60 , Potassium Cetyl Phosphate , Xanthan Gum , Fragrance , Menthyl Lactate , Ferric Ferrocyanide , Jojoba Esters
Visit this website, it's helped me and people I know

Follow his regimen an buy his formula

Usually the most effective ingredient in acne medicine in benzoyl peroxide, which I don't see in your list.

Alternatively, if you have a bad case of acne, see a dermatologist for prescriptions for both topical and oral medicines that are more effective (but more expensive) (e.g. Differin).

Can contact lens solution be used for any other purpose?
I have a contact lens solution....and i have no use for it...can it be use for any cleaning or some other purpose do it doesn't go waste?.....The solution contains...."A sterile, aqueous, isotonic solution containing Sodium & Potassium Chloride, Disodium Edetate & ASTEK 4 which combines Polyhexanide, Poloxamer, Hypromellose and Sodium Phosphate buffer."
The only household use I've been able to find for it was to clean my electric razor; it's a little thicker than water, so it seemed to make it run a little smoother the next time I shaved. Beyond that, it's pretty much only good for cleaning contacts or rinsing your eyes. The above suggestion of giving it to someone else is probably the best, assuming it's unopened.
Yellow watery discharge after drinking Potassium Citrate for UTI?
I recently came down with UTI and was given the Potassium Citrate/Iodide? and some antibiotics. I took my 1st dose of Potassium Citrate 2hours ago.. is it very normal for some yellowish watery discharge? I've never had this kind of discharge before..
Anyone ever used the blood pressure drug Cozaar? Like it or not?
Currently taking another one with a diuretic but it is depleting my potassium and they want to change it. Have also added a potassium supplement, but it bothers my stomach sometimes. Thanks!
I used Cozaar for a while, it is the same thing as Hyzaar except Hyzaar has a diuretic in it and Cozaar does not so you don't have to worry about losing potassium on Cozaar.Since you have stomach problems I would suggest Cozaar since it works good and does not deplete your potassium. It worked good keeping my BP down and I never had to worry about adding potassium to my diet.
