Yes why have you put this question in the section but never mind. If you do some research on some decent medical sites you will see that codeine is quite a powerful pain reliever of the opiate family. Now 2 things spring to mind that you really need to know. Firstly long term use will block your body's natural painkillers (endorphins) and so when the drug wears off you will be in slight pain. This is why we are advised not to take codeine for a slight headache or any trivial pain as it may make things worse; this could therefore be affecting your neck in a negative way. The second thing is that all drugs have side effects and should never be taken for stupid reasons. Do some work and put side effects+codeine in to Google, you will see that these are not any fun! Lastly get a life and stop messing with substances you foolish child. Answered by Alyce Shadley 1 year ago.

Tylenol #3 is a combination of acetaminophen and codeine. Codeine s an opiate used for its analgesic, antitussive and antidiarrheal properties. It is, by far, the most widely used opiate in the united states. there is a myriad of medications that incorporate codeine into their chemical makeup. I hope this helps Answered by Mathilda Shoop 1 year ago.

T3's have a half grain of codeine in them. T4's have a full grain, T2's a quarter grain. And that's just the Tylenol brand. Answered by Jamaal Kofford 1 year ago.

Tylenol with codiene is actually a narcotic (controlled substance) painkiller. Codiene, actually Numbs You so You dont feel any pain. Codiene is a analgesic and is considered a narcotic. Narcotics can be addictive, so i advice your friend to be careful.. There are many different drugs that do contain codiene. Answered by Ivana Herard 1 year ago.

Is there any possible explanation as to why my urine shows traces of opiates? Answered by Antoine Yovan 1 year ago.

No. Oxycodone will NOT show up as an opiate. Opiates are heroin, morphine and codeine.....and some other metabolites of those drugs. Opioids are synthetic drugs made from opiates and the opium poppy. Opioids include hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, oxymorphone, fentanyl, meperidine etc. The common drug tests that say opiates test for heroin and morphine. Morphine is metabolized from heroin, which is technically diacetylmorphine, 3mam or 6mam. To test for oxycodone a test must test specifically for it. Note: oxymorphone(opana) is broken down from oxycodone, so, oxycodone tests actually test for the presence of oxymorphone. And no oxymorphone IS NOT oxy mixed with morphine, it is an entirely different and separate drug. Answered by Shan Porrello 1 year ago.

Poppy seeds, on rolls or buns, can cause a positive result for opiates. If you've been eating poppy seed rolls, inform the people who tested you and ask for a retest in a couple of weeks. This is a common false positive. Answered by Libby Cieslik 1 year ago.

I took cheratussin ac and came back positive for opiates and morphine? Answered by Samira Shortey 1 year ago.

If you have had anything with poppy seeds youll test positive. I happen to like poppy seed muffins and that would make me positive, though I've never been tested. Answered by Curtis Dodoo 1 year ago.
