Cold or hot compress? or both?
I injured my wrist playing tennis about a week ago. It only hurts a little now but there is still a big pop when i move it in a hand shaking motion. I've been icing it, heating it (compress), and using Penetrex ointment in the day, Salonpas at night. Asked by Kylie Meland 1 year ago.

Hot compress.. Cold compress makes it numb and relieve the pain but Hot compress relaxes and removes the contraction of muscles... Answered by Joette Gildea 1 year ago.

I think it's hot compression then cold. I'm really sorry about your wrist I hope it gets better soon : ) Answered by Margit Hebel 1 year ago.

Both of my knees are shot (torn ACL, torn meniscus) and when they hurt, ice usually makes them feel better. Answered by Josefa Winward 1 year ago.

Is it safe to drink whey protein shake after work out while taking antibiotics?
taking 500 mg cephalixin pills. Asked by Shondra Kleespies 1 year ago.

I found this on Web MD Bottom line: be on the safe side and take your whey 1-2 hours before or 4 hours after your antibiotics. "Antibiotics (Quinolone antibiotics) interacts with WHEY PROTEIN" "Whey protein might decrease how much antibiotic the body absorbs. Taking whey protein along with some antibiotics might decrease the effectiveness of some antibiotics. To avoid this interaction take whey protein supplements at least one hour after antibiotics. Some of these antibiotics that might interact with whey protein include ciprofloxacin (Cipro), enoxacin (Penetrex), norfloxacin (Chibroxin, Noroxin), sparfloxacin (Zagam), trovafloxacin (Trovan), and grepafloxacin (Raxar)." "Antibiotics (Tetracycline antibiotics) interacts with WHEY PROTEIN" "Whey protein contains calcium. The calcium in whey protein can attach to tetracyclines in the stomach. This decreases the amount of tetracyclines that can be absorbed. Taking calcium with tetracyclines might decrease the effectiveness of tetracyclines. To avoid this interaction take whey protein two hours before or four hours after taking tetracyclines. Some tetracyclines include demeclocycline (Declomycin), minocycline (Minocin), and tetracycline (Achromycin)." But, whenever you are in doubt, be sure to call your pharmacist. Hope this helps! Answered by Stanley Eckles 1 year ago.

I don't see why not. To make sure it would be best to ask a doctor or pharmacist. Answered by Royce Aliotta 1 year ago.

I take Pristiq, 50 mg.Can you add 20mg of Cymbalta to address worsening anxiety side effect of the Pristiq?
Asked by Carmel Toalson 1 year ago.

Pristiq should help with depression AND anxiety, if it does not work for you, try taking Cymbalta instead. At the doses you are taking you could take them together, but I don't recommend it. Answered by Lauren Bourn 1 year ago.

Hi, saw the question and the answer is NO WAY. They both act on the same receptors (serotonin, norepinephrine and to some extent dopamine) so my advice is do not combine the two. Pristiq is EXTENDED RELEASE EFFEXOR, just another way for BIG PHARMA to make more money. Try BuSpar or a benzodiazepine or maybe Lyrica, Gabapentin they all work good except for Buspar, it takes too long to work, trust me I know this what you need to do.
