I asked him that and he said " I think so." So any help? Answered by Shanna Litke 4 months ago.
Ortho tri cyclin lo is just like any other birth contol. You will start your first pack of pills the sunday after you start your period. You take the pills the same time everyday. You will have a period every month on your last row of pills. There are pills that give you a period every three months, but this pill is not one of them. You just continue to take them everyday at the same time, they will regulate your period and lessen the bleeding an cramps. Ortho tri cyclin lo also is also one of the few pills that helps will acne problems, if you have them. If you have any other questions, let me know. You can email me and I would be glad to answer!!! Answered by Angella Boutros 4 months ago.
I am on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo too. The only wait you can skip periods is if you miss your sugar pill week, the last week in a pack. If you skip that and immediately start a new pack, you will skip your period, otherwise, you will have your period that week. Ortho makes your periods lighter and really helps with cramping. In some girls, it may even help out with acne. BC is obviously for the prevention of pregnancy, but it is also beneficial for other things. I was first put on BC when I was young to help regulate my period, and help with my cramping. I hope this helped, if you want more info, email me! Answered by Viola Nuara 4 months ago.
Anyone on ortho tri-cyclen lo?
This would be my first time using the pill and this is the one I was prescribed. I should start taking it on sunday and I'm pretty nervous about the side effects. Has anyone had like really bad side effects using this pill?
Asked by Anthony Mayhugh 4 months ago.
ortho lo is one of the best and lowest dose of hormones you can get. i have really bad side effects with a lot of meds so three years ago my doc started me on ortho lo. i did have some side effects; depression and some stomach pain. it went away in the first month though. side efffects are totally normal but i promise, as soon as you start your second month you will be fine. Answered by Venice Quin 4 months ago.
The only side effets I've had are lighter periods, shorter periods, and fewer acne. It's a really good birth control pill. Answered by Hermina Petkus 4 months ago.
It is a really low dose pill and it does work really well. I didn't really have any side affects.. other than it wasn't strong enough for me so I was 'spotting' while on it. Answered by Wyatt Vanhoecke 4 months ago.
It helped me. No more cramps. No more heavy bleeding. And no more zits! Answered by Darrin Hawken 4 months ago.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo?
I just startd taking this birth control about a week ago, and i am moody, and like my attitude can change in a sec. I feel like I am gaining weight, or feel bloated, WHY IS THIS? Has anybody ever expierienced these problems? Is there any BC you've tried that did not make you gain weight, but lose it?
Asked by Ruthanne Mattlin 4 months ago.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo is pretty much the worst birth control I've ever had the displeasure of having friends on. It did the exact same thing to ALOT of my friends. One girl actually gained 20 pounds. I would suggest not taking it and having your doctor changing you to another one. Even though the Ortho tri-cyclen lo is low in horomones, it's just horrible and ridiculous. Makes you crazy or crazier as far as I'm concerned. My recommendation: get off of it immediately!! Good luck Answered by Tashia Lemonds 4 months ago.
I have been on Loestrin 24 for over 6 months and I haven't gained any weight. I do feel bloated for a few days before my period, but that's pretty normal for me even without the pill. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo a few years ago, but I stopped it because it also made me really moody and depressed. I haven't had any problems with Loestrin and it makes your period a lot lighter and shorter! Answered by Gabrielle Guerette 4 months ago.
there is depo-provera it is a shot that you get once every 3 months I didnt find that i gained wieght on that but he thing with that is that in some women it stops your period altogher I spoke to my doctor when i went to do something different with birth control and i asked him about that and he said he wouldn't recommend it because it has been linked with causing osteoperosis because it messess with your bone density and actually can cause thinning of the bones leading to ostopersis in later life he didn't want for me anyway any hormone based therapy like the pill because of one of the medication that i am on that it would decrease the effectiveness of the pill He said an iud wouldn't be the best cause i had never had kids so it would be painful And he suggested a tubal and made an appointment with a gyno for me the only thing she disagreed with him on was the iud she said that though it would be a little different in that i had never had kids that it would be fine that it could be done And i agreed in that an iud is a hell of a lot less invasive than surgery and it's good for 5 years Answered by Karie Histand 4 months ago.
i started ortho tricyclen lo two months ago..ortho tricyclen lo didn't make me gain weight... it kind of made me lose appetite as well as my brother's fiance..maybe you should try YAZ.. YAZ made my brother's fiance gain weight.. but then when she went on ortho tricyclen lo.. she didn't gain weight.. maybe its opposite for you? they are both low dosages of horomone...it is best to talk to your doctor... tell him/her your side effects.. you might need to change pills.. women usually switch around a lot of times to find the right brand for them.. and about the mood swing thing.. i think that comes with all birth control pills.. =/ overload on horomones isn't going to make us happy all the time.. sometimes pills is just all pleasure for guys... when I first started birth control.. I took YAZ.. i would cry every month about a week before my period.. or freak out and put words in my boyfriend's mouth a lot..and i even became somewhat violent.. and shuved him.. but then I switched to ortho and I am a little bit better and in control now... so just wait a little longer like a month or two.. then talk to your doctor about switching brands if your problem still persists.. good luck in finding the right brand for you.. Answered by Dinorah Hafen 4 months ago.
I took it and thought it was the greatest birth control pill ever because it gave me no periods whatsoever and other pills gave me those horrible side effects you talked about. Talk to your doctor about switching to something else, it might take a couple or few to find the one that works with your body. Just because it works for me, doesn't mean it will work for you. Answered by Elene Dorst 4 months ago.
I take it, and have no problems at all. My sister-in-law though, she has mood swings like you! She swears it's the pill. It's all a part of the fact that your body is getting extra hormones. When on bcp's, your body thinks that it is pregnant, thus feeling crazy! We both do feel bloated at times, but I don't know if that is the pill talkin or just us! I've been on ortho tri cyclen lo for about 5 months now and I am completely unhappy with the results. I gained about 7 lbs of what I assume is water weight around my stomach and love handles (my body does not respond to diet and exercise while taking the pill ), I do not have any lighter of a period, I get horrible mood swings and my sex drive is often at an all-time low. I'm going to the gyno tomorrow to see what I can switch to, and many things online say just normal ortho tri cyclen would be better for me if the lo doesn't agree with my body. i just wanted to know if any of you are on it/had the same experience with it and what I should switch to if not ortho tri cyclen. Answered by Chelsey Malm 4 months ago.
I've been on both ortho tri cyclen & ortho lo. I didn't gain weight with either, but with the full strength ortho I had really heavy periods & awful cramps. With the lo I had very low sex drive. I got off the pill & went with the depo lo shot. My periods went haywire. so i stopped that as well. Now i'm not on any form of birth control . My periods are still messed up. & its been almost 3 months. & before n e 1 asks NO i'm not pregnant. Answered by Hyo Rutt 4 months ago.
I've used ortho try cyclen lo before and ended up getting off of it. I really didn't like how I felt on it and I also gained a lot of weight while on it. I'm actually not using any form right now because I've had some bad experiences with birth control and really don't like what it does to my body. Answered by Caryn Showell 4 months ago.
The first thing you need to do is figure out why your sex drive is low and try to help get it back. I was in your situation and it's not fun without being horny and feeling in the mood when needed. I also felt like my orgasms (if I would even get one) were really weak. Probably because of my sex drive. However, I tried exercising and dieting but nothing seemed to be working. I thought I was screwed. I then found something just as amazing as the vibrator. My friend at work told me about this stuff she took to raise her sex drive. It was a natural herbal supplement and was I lucky to of found it. Theres no side effects and the sex drive is just tremendous along with orgasms that are blasting. The stuff is called Hersolution pills. At the time I saved money on them at herenhancement.com What I did was tried out for 3 months and that was really it. I found taking them every other day or so was the best to stretch it out. After the months were up, I was back to normal with a beating sex drive and my orgasm strength in increased so much. Well good luck and I hope this helps. Answered by September Rabeck 4 months ago.

another thing does it make your breasts bigger?? just curious!..
Asked by Bridgett Kaiwi 4 months ago.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo is a lower dose than a Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Less hormones and other things. You should have spoken to your doctor about all possible side effects. Most side effects you should worry about is Blood clots if you smoke and are over the age of 35. When I was on birth control I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen regular strength not Lo. I gained some weight, didn't have much acne, and also it regulated my periods. It will also help you if you had bad cramps prior to taking the pill. As all pills there's always certain risks. Just make yourself aware and see if the pill is right for you. Best of luck. Answered by Rodrigo Lukens 4 months ago.
I'm not sure what your doctor told you, so here's what you can expect: Nausea. That one is going to be fun, and it's probably going to last a couple months. Try making sure that you don't take your pill on an empty stomach. Weight gain. You might notice some difference in the scale, but that'll be because of water weight (the pill makes you retain water). On the bright side, your breasts will get bigger. Inconvenience. It's hard to take that thing every day at the same time. Set an alarm on your phone or something to keep yourself on track. Libido. You might notice a dip in your libido and/or increased dryness. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then don't worry about it. Acne. Might make your acne clear up. Might make it worse. Hormones are tricky little things. Period: here's what I wish I knew. Your period doesn't come immediately after you enter the non-active-pill week. You have to wait a couple days. Just letting you know now so that you don't have to freak out the way I did. Answered by Mariette Sauret 4 months ago.
I've been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for about six months and I honestly didn't have any of the side effects like nausea, etc. I haven't gained any weight. It did nothing for pimples (but I don't get that many to begin with). But I have noticed that my breasts have grown a little--about half a cup size. Answered by Carolina Beaton 4 months ago.
I never gained weight on it and heard that gaining weight with bc pills is just a myth. I DO know that if you miss a pill you will start spotting (bleeding) and it won't really stop until you get your period and IT (your period) ends. If that made any sense. So just be careful to take one each and everyday. I switched brands due to that. But I really liked Ortho Lo. How does it affect your hair??? Please let me know. thanks. I am very curious about that! Dear Cassie, Well first love you should have waited a bit longer to have intercourse after your miscarriage by the way so sorry that happen and wish you nothing but the best and good luck.In most cases, it’s safe to resume sex after a miscarriage once the miscarriage bleeding has stopped. Generally this takes two weeks, however, all women vary. You want to wait until after the bleeding stops to give your cervix time to close up. Your body goes through a physical process from the miscarriage as your cervix dilates. Sex during this period of time increases your chances of infection in the uterus. The stopped bleeding is a signal that sex is safe to resume. Some women begin spotting at the end of this cycle, however, she should still wait to have sex until all bleeding and spotting has stopped. In most cases and during a normal recovery, your first period won’t arrive until after 4 weeks or so. It takes about 3 weeks for your hormone levels to recover from the miscarriage. Some women believe that the brownish or yellowish discharge that is exiting their vagina is a sign of fertility. The opposite is true. Regardless if you’ve waited the suggested time before resuming sex, women should not just jump back into bed in a wild fashion. Try having sex slower and softer at first, as emotions are high, more than likely for both partners. Easing back into sex with your partner after a miscarriage can heal you emotionally, and help you to enjoy sex . that all said well you are on the best birth control pills ever Ortho Tri Cyclen LO 28, as you know the 7 white pills are nothing but placebo sugar pills so they will give you time for your period. Now you said you took them for 12 days in total I hope you are talking about the birth control one not only the white ones? please note that it's very important. It's ok if you took it at 11 P.M. dear but what worries me more is everything is ok with you physically and mentally I hope so, and pray for you. Now if everything is ok and you have been taken your pills as it suppose to be without any infections and all your health wise is ok you are fine taken one at 7 and another at 11 p. m. will not effect that point what I'm worried about is infection and your health and emotional issues if all is ok then I pray you will be and if all you been doing it taken the pills daily then I see no problems please explain more about your miscarriage issue and if all is fine blood and hormonal issues??? good ;luck best wishes hope and pray for you for nothing but good health and healing and all will be fine, if you need more help please ask....PS: IF YOU TOOK THEM AS YOU SAID DEAR FOR A TOTAL OF TWELVE DAYS AND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BIRTH CONTROL ONE NOT THE WHITE PILLS YOU ARE FINE THE ORTHO TRI CYCLEN ARE PERFECT YOU ARE SAFE FROM THAT SIDE DEAR.. I have veins on my boobs, on my face around my mouth leading down onto my neck, on my legs, and on my nose, on my hips, and little ones around my cheeks. my period has been over for a couple days now, and the veins are still way noticeable. I was just wondering if the veins are because of my period or because of pregnancy... i'm gonna be taking a hpt in a few days, but i'm just curious as to what you think, any personal experiences. Answered by Ilse Stanhope 4 months ago.
tri cyclen lo causes funny periods. I've been on it for almost 2 years, and my periods often come a few days early and with varying degrees of heaviness. Last month, my period came when I still had 4 pills left, lasted 5 days and was much lighter than usual. I take my pills very regularly. Being paranoid, I of course am now worrying if I somehow got pregnant, although I feel normal and am expecting my period early next week. I know how you're feeling, but try not to freak yourself out. Like I said, Tri Cyclen Lo does bizarre things to periods, and if you have only been on it for 4 months your body is still getting used to it. I had nausea for the first 5 months of being on it. Good luck! Answered by Shanita Norcia 4 months ago.

1st question: Which start date is better: today when I got my period or next Sunday when my period will probably be finish. What's the difference? 2nd question: If I decide to start today, do I use the first white pill until the whole pack is finish? 3rd question: Why is there only 28 pills for Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. There is more than 28 days in a month. After the 28 day and pill do I immediately use the other pack and start on day one? 4th question: Do I have to use the pill pack or dial pak the Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo pills came with? Please help gals. Thanks in advance Answered by Georgeanna Skye 4 months ago.
When I was prescribed Ortho tri-cy lo, my doctor had me start on the first Sunday after menstruation began. The dial pack is pre-set for a Sunday start. Meaning, the first pill in the pack is set on Sunday. There is only one way to put the pills in the dial pack as they have a groove at the top that corresponds with the groove at the top of the pill pack. You start with the first pill (white) and take them until the whole pack is finished. There are 28 pills because most cycles are 28 days long. It has nothing to do with the days in the month. Yes you start the next pack after you finish the first one. I would use the pill pack it came with just because it is easier to get the pills out and it is to help remind you if you took the pill that day (for example, say it is thursday and your dial is on thursday and the pill is gone, you must have already taken it for that day). Ortho-tri-lo has 21 active pills (pills with the medicine in it) and 7 reminder pills (sugar pills just to keep you in the practice of taking one every day) In answer to your first question, you can take them as best for you. If it would be easier for you to start on the sunday after your period starts, do that (that is how the dial pack is designed) if you would rather start on the first day of your period, then that is fine too. You just need to remember to take one every day at the SAME TIME for it to be effective. Also, you should use an alternative form of birth control as well during your first cycle on ortho-tri-lo. Luck! Answered by Yan Dumont 4 months ago.
1. The period when you HAVE your period. 2.you take the pills in order, you take the first white pill. it has the days of the week on it. 3. just take them. then more on to the next pill. 4. it doesnt matter. Answered by Daine Grybel 4 months ago.

I'm sorry but why are you taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo if you don't know how it works or what it does to your body? Why are you having sex without knowing first if you're protected from unwanted pregnancy? As a hormonal birth control pill it's primary function is to stop ovulation - so yes, Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo stops ovulation. As a note you can't possibly know when you're going to ovulate if you're on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo (thus don't ovulate full-stop), and if you're not using something like FAM.
