I originally was on Femcon Fe and when I ran out my doctor prescribed Ortho Cyclen (28) saying it was the generic version of Femcon Fe... Well I had no problems with Femcon Fe but with Ortho Cyclen it was like I was in hell I have been on it for about two and a half months and I just could not take it anymore I had these severe bloating with cramping almost all the time my abdominal would hurt to the point I would cry... The first month of taking this pill I threw up everything I ate and had diarrhea to the point I had to go to the hospital the doctor said it was gastric issues and left it at that I wasn't pregnant... Well when it came time to start my period I would have really bad cramping to the point I would feel like something is going to erupt not to mention my period wouldn’t come till a couple days later... The second month on the pill was the same except I started feeling depressed and I would take it out on my husband I would cry at the silliest things and it made me eat like a horse I have gained 25 pounds on this pill I felt my sex drive going down and I didn't feel as connected with my husband anymore it got so bad I just couldn't take it anymore so I decided to stop taking the pill it wasn't worth it... So far its been one day since I stopped taking Ortho Cyclen (28) and the night before I felt like a weight was lifted my husband noticed it also but the next day earlier in the morning I felt fine now I feel like all my energy has been drained and occasionally I would feel nauseated I even drank a Red Bull and I still feel tired. Can someone please tell me what is going on? Also I did some research and found something interesting... People who loved Femcon Fe hated Ortho Cyclen (28), and people who loved Ortho Cyclen (28) hated Femcon Fe... Answered by Kenneth Keaveney 4 months ago.

What does the different color pills in ortho tri-cyclen 28 days mean?
like the white, light blue, dark blue and green they dont say so i just was wondering if any body knows what the differnt colors are
Asked by Darcel Ores 4 months ago.
Each pill contains different amounts of the hormone used in ortho tri-cyclen except the green pills are "spacer" or "reminder" pills. Each white tablet contains 0.180 mg norgestimate, light blue has 0.215 mg norgestimate and dark blue has 0.250 mg norgestimate. The green tablet contains only inert ingredients. This is suppose to mimic your natural cycle. I prefer pills that have only one amount of hormone, I used to take Apri because ortho tri-cyclen made me moody. Answered by Chara Slingerland 4 months ago.
The white and light blue pills have Norgestimate (pregesterone) - regulates ovulation and menstration. They thicken up the uterus lining and keep you from getting preggers. The dark blue pills have Estradiol - hormone estrogen (the stuff that makes your skin nice). Lo has 25 mgs and the Tri-cyclen has 35 mg. Answered by Tena Auduong 4 months ago.
They each have a different amount of hormones except fo the green ones which have none and are "inactive" as they put it. Answered by Risa Kinning 4 months ago.

So since I've been taking it I've been either a little out of it sluggish, lack of enthusiasm, lazy, sleepy etc.) or in a weird, edgy, depressed, paranoid mood (to the point of crying -- before this period I hadn't cried in several months). Trinessa (ortho tri-cyclen 28) and smoking?
If you're on this medication, can you smoke? It says you shouldn't but mostly increases risks with age and how much you smoke. How dangerous is it? Is it cigarettes, is it marijuana? What should you not smoke, and if you do how much? Does anyone smoke on this? Just give me a nice clump of knowledge.

I am 17 years old, I'm not sexually active, I have heavy 7 day periods and acne. I was proscribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen 28 day birth control and I start this Sunday. I am very nervous, my doctor told me it should help lighten my periods and help my break outs along with my proscribed acne medication and epiduo topical that I've used before. I've read reviews and side effects, some have said it's helped with their skin alot, and others have said they've experienced weight gain, hair loss (I'm terrified of) and blood clots to were they'll be on a blood thinner for the rest of their life (even worse) I know everyones diffrent, so I really hope this will work out for me. I know birth control typically adds a cup size to your breast, and I wouldn't mind that along with clear skin, but birth control just scares me in general. I don't feel like it's healthy.... Will someone please help?! I would love to hear some more positive reviews and good experiences. Maybe even learn a little more information about birth control in general too. that's superb to flow get Plan B (and once you're decrease than 18 and he's not, the pharmacist ought to enable him purchase it for you.) it relatively is style of high priced, yet a lot extra fee-effective than somewhat one. once you're someplace the place you surely can not get the morning-after pill, you ought to use a mix pill (in case you will get some from a chum.) The deliberate Parenthood internet site has the wonderful guidelines in this. Ortho Tri-Cyclen could be used (as addressed on the Princeton internet site,) however the guidelines are extra complicated (you ought to ask a doctor) and it relatively is commonly merely no longer a good suggestion. The only side effect I had while I was on that type of pill was shorter periods. I'm thinking mine went from 7 days down to 5 and the bleeding got lighter also. Answered by Shela Hilley 4 months ago.
I did not like that pill. It gave me acne, weight gain of 30lbs, blood clots, heavy periods, and was just hell. I wasn't using it as birth control but I'm sure if I had been, it would have failed there too. Answered by Mack Ylonen 4 months ago.

You might be onto something...I have been taking them for 10 years now and I pee often. I also noticed when I was not drinking enough water I would have the urge to go more. Try that and see... Answered by Isreal Dalaq 4 months ago.
