How does Opcon-A relieve redness?
Opcon-A is a product from Bausch & Lomb, they're eye drops.. Asked by Raquel Fietek 1 year ago.

It is an antihistamine and decongestant drop. Many causes of redness are allergies which the antihistamine will take care of. The decongestant constricts the blood vessels in the eye to reduce redness. Answered by Brad Rissell 1 year ago.

can i put opcon-a itching and redness reliever into my kittens eyes to help his infection and get the eye boogers out before i can get into the vet?? and it has (ACTIVE) Naphazoline HCI (0.03%), Pheniramine maleate (0.32%). in it. is that safe and would it help him feel better? Asked by Chanda Defazio 1 year ago.

Use a damp warm washcloth to clean you kittens eyes. Do not use any sort of chemicals unless specifically told to do so by the vet. Don't worry, you kitty may squirm a bit, but in the end he will be much happier. Answered by Kelsi Dowers 1 year ago.

Opticon Eye Drops Answered by Noel Welker 1 year ago.

Have just returned from vet having taken two 4 week old kittens with sticky eyes. Was told they had viral infection - nothing serious as discharge is not green and there is no inflammation of the eyes - prescribed Chloramphenicol Eye drops 0.5% w/v 10ml. When I searched the internet I see they are antibacterial drops for use in humans too. So in yes it is suitable although has to be kept in fridge so I would not use old drops as they are available for reasonable cost. Answered by Destiny Rapuano 1 year ago.

Take him to an emergency vet if you can. If not, irrigate his eyes with eyewash. It's like saline solution, but milder. You can find it in any pharmacy and some first aid kits. Answered by Kaitlyn Baughn 1 year ago.
