Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP?
I was perscribed this cream after see my doctor. She was pretty sure that I have a yeast infection. She also prescribed me some antibiotics. How often is this medicine prescribed with yeast infections, and how does it interact with someone who has herpes simplex 2 that had a recent outbreak?
Asked by Bobbye Calvery 1 month ago.
You should not use this medication if you are allergic to nystatin or triamcinolone. Before using nystatin and triamcinolone, tell your doctor if you have any type of skin infection (especially tuberculosis infection of the skin), or if you have chicken pox or herpes infection (including cold sores). Also tell your doctor if you have diabetes. Topical steroid medicines absorbed through the skin may increase the glucose (sugar) levels in your blood or urine. Use this medication exactly as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not use the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body. Answered by Elvia Ouelette 1 month ago.

Is Nystatin Creme effective against Tinea Pedis?
Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide
Asked by Yuonne Ficken 1 month ago.
NO. The preparation that you are talking about is useful for treating inflammatory candida (yeast) infections of the skin, but has absolutely NO effect on dermatophyte (mold type) infections which cause tinea pedis. Answered by Suk Mccorison 1 month ago.
Yes, Nystatin Cream is an anti-fungal medication which is used to cure athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm, and jock itch. Use as directed, and also remember to wash your hands after application. It's a good idea to wash the affected area with soap and water and dry COMPLETELY before applying the cream. Also, avoid contact with the eyes, inside of the nose, and the mouth with this cream. Remember, just because the infection appears to be cleared up doesn't mean it is. Use the medication for the full course of treatment, even if you don't think you need it anymore; you don't want to flare back up. Answered by Kendrick Quaintance 1 month ago.
Is Nystatin And Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream the right medicine to treat ringworm with?
Why would a clinic prescribe this if it doesn't work on ringworm? I have also found several sites online that says it does work for that. I am so confused. Can't afford to be running to the Dr all the time...
Asked by Nana Goins 1 month ago.
NO. Nystatin is only for the treatment of Candida, and triamcinolone is a steriod. The treatment for ringworm is to use Nizoral shampoo, which contains 2% ketoconazole, as a body wash for a week, then 2 x a week for a couple of months. Also, most athlete's foot cream/gels work for ringworm, which is a 'tinea'. A fungus called Tinea Versicolor. Answered by Leeann Lacasse 1 month ago.

Does nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream work for yeast infection?

Asked by Pia Kanable 1 month ago.
nystatin should take care of the yeast. triamcinolone should not be put "down there". it is a steroid and would not be good for the tender membranes. Answered by Fernande Manaugh 1 month ago.
Does this medicine cure ringworm?
nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream usp, does this medicine cure ringworm?
Asked by Shalon Marguardt 1 month ago.
No, Marilyn it will not cure ringworm. The Nystatin is for yeast infection. The Triamcinolone is a steroid for inflammation and redness. Ringworm is a fungus, you need to get a anti-fungal agent from the drug store - something like Lamisil ( the same stuff they use for jock itch ). Apply it with a different Q-tip each time - and do it after bathing and before bedtime for a few weeks. You should notice a difference, if you do not - then you should go see the dermatologist for something stronger. Answered by Sherwood Corn 1 month ago.

nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. can it be used to get a yeast infection away???
Asked by Bibi Journell 1 month ago.
It is an antifungal and corticosteroid cream or ointment. The combination treats Candida (yeast) infections of the skin and helps to reduce the swelling, redness, and itching that may occur with these infections. Answered by Judie Lora 1 month ago.
I think the best way to get rid of a yeast infection is to kill two birds with one stone. Try to scrape off as much of it into a bowl, and then add warm water. Then you can get rid of the infection, and have the beginnings to some great bread! Answered by Dusty Haupert 1 month ago.

I don'tknow what's wrong with my vagina but it's really freaking me out. I am currently 17 years old. And yes I am sexually active. I was on my period when I started feeling discomfort down there. It was like really itchy and Raw. So I decided to shave to get a closer look at the problem and I can tell that the outside crevices were kinda bleeding like a paper cut. Also the area right before you enter the hole was red, shiny and irritated. I could not stop scratching. It hurted so bad that I couldn't even walk, so I eventually told my mother and she took me to patient first. They check me for Sexual cells, yeast and bacterial cells. But the sexual cells weren't there. They prescribed me with this one pill to take for the yeast, these antibiotics and some Nystatin/Triamcinolone Acetonide cream. I took the pills and applied the cream and I noticed improvement so I stopped using it. Then when I stopped the symptoms came pack (ps when I stopped I still had pills left over) it's dry/stingy Answered by Daron Freimuth 1 month ago.
You may have a bad yeast infection.. But in my medical opinion your irritation may also be caused by the soap that your using. Don't use any lotion or soap down there. Just water and I am sure your symptoms will go away. Also finish your prescription. Answered by Dorothy Knickerbocker 1 month ago.
When they prescribe medicine like that you should take it all. Stopping just because it "improves" doesn't get rid of everything and it comes back even worse. Mny times when you don't take all the medicine the bacteria or whatever becomes immune to the medicine and is that much harder to get cleared up. Answered by Mardell Stuenkel 1 month ago.
When you are prescribed medication it is important to take it as prescribed. When you are prescribed antibiotics, it is essential to take every single pill because that completes the course of treatment. When you do not take the complete course you run the risk of your symptoms returning. Answered by Richelle Bickler 1 month ago.

This may be a bit off of your objective. I have used AD&E lotion from Bubbles of Arcata California. When I am consistent about keeping the areas affected with this lotion it helps to keep my condition under control. The lotion helps to keep from losing moisture and the vitamins help to feed the skin I think. Another product I have used is Blue Copper. This is very expensive but you use very little as well. I have gotten this at Nordstroms but it may be available in other areas. This can be mixed with the AD& E lotion to get a more aggressive solution. My doctor also prescribed Noritate. I like the idea of using the AD&E as much as possible as the steroids can require more and more to get the desired effect so I want to use them as little as possible. Anyway, this is what works for me and may not be suitable for you and your conditions. The key I have found is to care for the affected area before it gets into really bad condition. Once you get there it takes me days to recover so it is important to do preemptive applications regularly. Best wishes and I hope you find the combination that works well for you.
