Yeah, but it won't do much of anything. Athlete's foot creams will work much better. But hey, if you have it, give it a shot for a couple days. Answered by Jacqui Peatry 6 months ago.
Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP?
I was perscribed this cream after see my doctor. She was pretty sure that I have a yeast infection. She also prescribed me some antibiotics. How often is this medicine prescribed with yeast infections, and how does it interact with someone who has herpes simplex 2 that had a recent outbreak?
Asked by Yukiko Yerton 6 months ago.
You should not use this medication if you are allergic to nystatin or triamcinolone. Before using nystatin and triamcinolone, tell your doctor if you have any type of skin infection (especially tuberculosis infection of the skin), or if you have chicken pox or herpes infection (including cold sores). Also tell your doctor if you have diabetes. Topical steroid medicines absorbed through the skin may increase the glucose (sugar) levels in your blood or urine. Use this medication exactly as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not use the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body. Answered by Stanford Mcglothen 6 months ago.

Is Nystatin Creme effective against Tinea Pedis?
Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide
Asked by Valentine Liddicoat 6 months ago.
NO. The preparation that you are talking about is useful for treating inflammatory candida (yeast) infections of the skin, but has absolutely NO effect on dermatophyte (mold type) infections which cause tinea pedis. Answered by Marlene Holloran 6 months ago.
Yes, Nystatin Cream is an anti-fungal medication which is used to cure athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm, and jock itch. Use as directed, and also remember to wash your hands after application. It's a good idea to wash the affected area with soap and water and dry COMPLETELY before applying the cream. Also, avoid contact with the eyes, inside of the nose, and the mouth with this cream. Remember, just because the infection appears to be cleared up doesn't mean it is. Use the medication for the full course of treatment, even if you don't think you need it anymore; you don't want to flare back up. Answered by Frida Koob 6 months ago.

I started to shave my labia majora a few years ago, at first i ran into some small problems, I was young and not experienced with shaving. After i figured everything out, everything done there was fine. Two months ago I shaved down there and it started itching. I haven't shaved since. One day I decided to itch and it started bleeding! For weeks i just cleaned it and resisted to itch. Last month, I decided to check on it and saw my skin around there was this white-ish color but i didnt think anything of it i just continued with resisting to itch and cleaning it whenever I showered. Recently, it has been starting to get itchy again so i went to seek help. A nurse suggested Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. Does anyone know if this will help? Before any of you tell me its an STD or something, I am NOT sexually active. Answered by Carlton Puesey 6 months ago.
What initially started as dry skin has most likely progressed to a fungal infection because you broke the skin. Also, never use the same razor for your lady parts as you do for your armpits and legs; this will increase the chances of spreading bacteria to your genital region. Nothing to worry about, clean morning and night with warm water and unscented soap, then apply a thin layer of the cream. Sleep without underwear to let the area heal faster, and if you are active during the day (exercise, etc.) make sure you wash when you get the chance. Wear loose pants and cotton underwear until it heals, and do not shave the area until you are sure the skin condition is gone. In addition, change your razor. When you shave again, use a moisturizing shaving cream or body wash and put on some unscented lotion afterwards to keep the skin from drying out. Hope this helps! the skin down there is just plain sensitive and you have a rash. The average razor you would use for your legs is not sharp enough to handle the course hairs of the nether-region, and the whole process is very abrasive. That particular patch of skin isn't used to all that friction. Some people don't get it, some do. Just the way it is. I would strongly suggest you stop shaving... if you feel it's necessary, trim it back, sure, but shaving clean is hardly ever worth the discomfort. Plus the rash is so ugly-looking, it kind of defeats the purpose. All you can do is wait it out, baby powder/gold bond can help. Answered by Jewel Pitts 6 months ago.

nystatin should take care of the yeast. triamcinolone should not be put "down there". it is a steroid and would not be good for the tender membranes. Answered by Sindy Bonin 6 months ago.
Is Nystatin And Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream the right medicine to treat ringworm with?
Why would a clinic prescribe this if it doesn't work on ringworm? I have also found several sites online that says it does work for that. I am so confused. Can't afford to be running to the Dr all the time...
Asked by Latina Nellon 6 months ago.
NO. Nystatin is only for the treatment of Candida, and triamcinolone is a steriod. The treatment for ringworm is to use Nizoral shampoo, which contains 2% ketoconazole, as a body wash for a week, then 2 x a week for a couple of months. Also, most athlete's foot cream/gels work for ringworm, which is a 'tinea'. A fungus called Tinea Versicolor. Answered by Van Jubyna 6 months ago.

nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream usp, does this medicine cure ringworm?
Asked by Karma Generalao 6 months ago.
No, Marilyn it will not cure ringworm. The Nystatin is for yeast infection. The Triamcinolone is a steroid for inflammation and redness. Ringworm is a fungus, you need to get a anti-fungal agent from the drug store - something like Lamisil ( the same stuff they use for jock itch ). Apply it with a different Q-tip each time - and do it after bathing and before bedtime for a few weeks. You should notice a difference, if you do not - then you should go see the dermatologist for something stronger. Answered by Shayne Lipa 6 months ago.
