my 10yr old daughter has been on GH since she was 4yr old......with her it took about 12 months to show any real change....... when she was 8yr old she was also given oxandralone (an anobolic steroid) at a low dosage, this seems to help...... she's still tiny for her age just 3ft 11" , she's only expected to reach a final height of 4ft 10"-11". but without the GH she may have only been 4ft 5"....... she's on a very high dosage for her height, she takes 1.4mgs per day she's on "genotropin" with my daughter though she's only got 1/2 the normal amount of GH normally made and also her bonesdo not respond well to the little she has got Answered by Shannon Bausman 1 year ago.

Anyone know anything about Norditropin Growth Hormone?
I would just like to know a little more information about it! Thanks! Asked by Hobert Talamentez 1 year ago.

I have GHD and take the medication every night. Basically its a man made hormone that is suppose to be made in the pituitary gland. The med is taken when the body does not produce enough gh or any gh. It's take in injection form and the needle is very tiny. I take 1.8mg a night and will take it for the rest of my life. I am 14 and I guess I like having GHD because it makes me special. If you have anymore questions, I would be very happy to anwser. I have been on the med for almost 3 months and have grown 1 inch which is way better than not growing any since I was 8. I would LOVE to anwser anymore questions you have. SHE WAS ALSO BORN WITH MOSAIC TURNERS SYNDROME. SHE MADE IT TILL MAY 2008 BEFORE SHE NEED HER FIRST OPEN HEART SURGERY BUT THEN NEED ANOTHER IN JANUARY 2009. THE SECOND SURGERY WAS FANTASTIC! THEY REPLACED THE VALVE AND HER HEART HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. SHE ALSO HAS BEEN ON HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE NOW FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR AND IS BENEFITING FROM IT GREATLY. SHE HAS GROWN OVER 4 INCHES SINCE SHE STARTED IT! HOWEVER WE HAVE JUST RECENTLY STARTED HAVING ISSIES WITH HER AND CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HER. ABOUT 1 MONTH AGAO SHE STARTED TAKING NAPS WHICH IS UNLIKE HER BECAUSE SHE IS SUCH AN ACTIVE 5 YEAR OLD AND JUST ISNT A NAPPER. BUT, I ATTRIBUTED IT FROM THE HEAT THAT SUDDENLY CAME ABOUT IN OUR AREA AND THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. I AHVE ALSO NOTICED SHE REALLY GET HER COLORS MIXED UP WHICH VERY MUCH CONCERNS ME. SHE GETS HEADACHE SOMETIMES THAT ARE TO THE POINT THAT SHE CRIES...NOT OFTEN BUT THEY DO HAPPEN. I TOOK HER FOR ALOT OF BLOOD WORK AND SHE WAS WORKED UP BY HER CARDIOLOGIST AND PEDIATRICIAN AND BOTH TESTING DONE CAME UP GREAT! NOW WE HAVE A NEW ISSUE...BED WETTING. SHE ISNOW WETTING THE BED AND DOESN'T EVEN WAKE UP AFTER SHE PEES IN HER SLEEP. SHE IS NOT A BED WETTER! I WENT AND BOUGHT PULL UPS FOR BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS NOW. SHE HAS ALSO BECOME VERY SENSITIVE OVER EVERYTHING. WE ALSO FOUND HER IN HER BED SWEATING FOR NO REASON. I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW IF THE GROWTH HORMANE CAN DO THIS TO A CHILD? AND COULD THIS BE A SIGN THAT IT IS EFFECTING THE BRAIN? I STOPPED THE GROWTH HORMANE AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE ENDOS OFFICE ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO. MY NEXT STEP IS FOR HER TO HAVE AN EEG, CAT SCAN AND MRI DONE TO RULE OUT ANYTHING WITH HER BRAIN. I HAVE A FEELING IT MAY HAVE TO DO WITH THE GROWTH HORMONE..SHE JUST ISN'T HERSELF. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THEY ARE FAMILIAR WITH ANY OF THIS? THANX, CONCERNED MOM Answered by Annemarie Rutigliano 1 year ago.

I doubt very much it's the growth hormones causing her problems.the napping could just be she's feeling really run down just now, she could be anemic. The bed wetting could be due to her kidneys, have you had her kidneys checked as girls with turner syndrome sometimes have kidneys shaped like Horseshoes, and this can cause frequent kidney infections so possibly the cause of sudden bed wetting.. Her being over sensitive also is more common in girls with turner syndrome. Headaches can happen with the use of GH and if really bad you need to let the specialist know.. is there any way her dosage could be too high? as sweating, feeling sleepy and generally feeling not right can be a sign too much has been injected.. some of what's happening does seem more linked to her having turner syndrome but the headaches and sweating do seem to be more of a worry than napping and bed wetting. keep pushing the doctors for answers Answered by Tierra Ludlam 1 year ago.

Will HGH make me taller?
I am 18 years old and I am only about 5 foot 6. I'm thinking of taking Human Growth Hormone to see if I can gain an inch or two. It really sucks being this short. Can anyone tell me the side effects that are to be expected. And if anyone can speak from experience, what product did you use and how were the results? Asked by Ollie Klima 1 year ago.

Norditropin (HGH injection) is almost $1500 a week's worth, and even then you have to get a prescription and at 5' 6" you might be able too but not likely, and you have to have really good insurance to get it because it costs so much. I was almost 15 when i started taking it and was about 4' 9" and i'm 16 now and i'm 5'2 i've been taking it for a year and have grown 5 inches, also i have grown a 6 pack and muscles without working out, it's pretty crazy, however once you start taking it you start getting super sleepy all the time, I can sleep 16 hours a day easily, it's overwhelming, and your appetite will be ridiculous, and you will crave milk like water, i never liked milk but when i started HGH i just started drinking by the gallon, also my muscles quiver all the time and my joints hurt, I have to take the injection once a day 6 times a week but it's really not that bad, the needle is only about a 1/4 of an inch long so it doesnt hurt that bad Answered by Afton Drossos 1 year ago.

Unfortunately, no, there are none that work. Nothing can force your body to grow taller than your DNA says you will. There are some things that can take away from your potential height (including smoking, drugs, caffeine, etc), so as long as you stay away from those and have a healthy diet, you should grow as tall as you're supposed to. Besides all that, your growing age normally peaks around 20 years old, so since you're younger than that, you've got plenty of time to finish growing and any HGH pills (or other "artificial growth" products) can actually be detrimental to your height and/or health. The only thing that actually would work would be a risky, expensive, and very painful surgery where they cut your leg in half (no joke), add a few spacers, then let your body heal. It's most common in China where height has a bigger impact in certain jobs. Over the course of a year or two, they could add an inch or so to your leg... but I don't think it would be worth the pain and price myself. However, if they are insoles, those will help to boost your height because they are adding the height, not making you grow taller. Besides all that, I'm 6 feet tall and all the girls I've ever dated have been shorter... it makes it tough to kiss them if you're more than a few inches taller than them. ;-) Good luck and I hope I helped! Answered by Theda Hendy 1 year ago.

Human growth hormones are nothing to play around with. At 18, you still have some growing years to go. However, my husband is not quite 5'7"..and I wouldn't have him any other way. You are NOT too short...for most of us girls, you are JUST RIGHT ("average" females are 5'5" to 5'6" (which is what I am)...) Wait a few years before trying something like this...you'll be glad you waited... Answered by Jospeh Josich 1 year ago.
