This might just be me...Does nicotrol curb your appetite?
could it be just me or is this thing a secret weightloss aid? Asked by Lucina Fereira 1 year ago.

No, it's not just you. A secret? Not really. As you know, Nicotrol is a nicotine replacement therapy. Nicotine mimics some of the effects of testosterone. (That wasn't mentioned in the Wikipedia article that I linked to below.) Is it anabolic, like T? I don't know. Maybe. T (and nicotine?)--in contrast with the estrogens--decreases carb cravings. And that's helpful for fat loss. Moderately high doses of nicotine also increase concentrations of the neurotransmitter, serotonin. Dietary carbs have a similar effect. So now we have two possible mechanisms for nicotine decreasing carb cravings. Answered by Sophie Boroski 1 year ago.

Can I use nicotrol inhalers and drink alcohol?
I am using these fake cigarettes, which I think are called nicotrol inhalers, and I am wanting to know if it is safe to drink alcohol with them, and how well do they work? Asked by Leora Wallington 1 year ago.

I believe you are talking about electronic cigarettes, if that is the case then they are known to be very effective in controlling urges to smoke and as far as if it has any contradictions with alcohol that is a definite no, it will give you the same effects as smoking a regular cigarette while drunk, so no worries man, have fun and good for you switching to the fake stuff, the real stuff is gettin wayy too expensive for how dangerous they are lol Answered by Ester Kontogiannis 1 year ago.

How do the vapors from the e-cigarette differ from the nicotrol inhaler?
Is it the same since both vapors derive from nicotine? Asked by Denisha Beaureguard 1 year ago.

The eclipse cigarette is basically vaporizing the tobacco. It heats that tobacco to a temperature that is high enough to vaporize it and thus give the user some taste of tobacco as well as some amount of the drug nicotine as well. The drawback to vaporization is that heat is still involved and so as a result there will be some amount of smoke which is primarily inhaled by the consumer. Although there is substantially less smoke given off by the Eclipse cigarette, there is still some. With that smoke comes some tar as well as other compounds which are considered to be unhealthy, such as carbon monoxide. The inhaler is a nebulized mist delivery system which does not involve heat of any kind. Therefore the drug, nicotine is added to the liquid suspension and once the consumer inhales it, they are only getting that unchanged drug with no tar or other components which will be found in smoke. The Eclipse cigarette is definitely much less risky than traditional cigarettes as the amount of tar and nicotine and other harmful components is greatly reduced, but it is still not considered to be less risky or even comparable in risk to an inhaler. EDIT: I am unsure as to what someone was talking about when they stated that the Eclipse Cigarette has not gained FDA approval for market. For starters, the Eclipse has been and still is available for purchase. There was a brief period of time when it was pulled off of the shelves for some legal issues, but those issues were dealt with and they were brought back. Up until this year the FDA did not even have anything to do with cigarettes, as this was all handled via the BATF (Bur. of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms). Now that the FDA has control, it is still not the same as being regulated as a drug (at least not yet). In a nutshell, you just cannot compare the two because one is a cigarette (even if it is much less risky than traditional cigarettes) and the other is an OTC smoking detterent medication, which is regulated as a drug. Both of these products fall under different regulations and thus different parts of the CFR. Oh and there is tobacco in the Eclipse Cigarette. I tested plenty of them and have actually seen the inside of them and how they work, etc. and I can assure you that tobacco is inside the product. If there were not, then it would not have fallen under BATF's domain, as it would have been an OTC drug and fallen under the FDA's domain. Answered by Sabina Nastasia 1 year ago.

Nicotrol Inhaler Vs E-cigarette Answered by Lanita Thomen 1 year ago.

Nicotrol inhalers only really deliver nicotine and the delivery is more slow than with an e-cigarette. You will get more of the "normal smoking" experience from an e-cigarette than the inhaler. The inhaler releases nicotine, but it is mostly absorbed in the mouth which is a slower rate than when the nicotine is absorbed by the lungs. In an e-cig, the vapor is carried into the lungs where the nicotine is then absorbed and distributed faster. In a SmokeStick or Blue e-cigarette, generally the inhalation contains: propylene glycol, tobacco flavoring, along with other natural and artificial flavorings and water vapor. If you're looking at them as an alternative to smoking, the e-cig appears to most mimic the action of a cigarette. However, if you're looking at them to quit smoking, the Nicotrol inhaler would be the best option. The inhaler is used primarily to reduce the cravings of nicotine and not simply replace the action used to absorb the nicotine. The nicotine is absorbed at a different rate so you do not immediately receive the same effect or "rewards" in terms of immediate dopamine release. It does kill a craving, but in increments and exponentially over time after the delivery of the nicotine. Answered by Callie Fereira 1 year ago.

Where can I purchase the MOUTHPIECE'S for the Nicotrol Inhalers?
I don't need the cartridges. I just need the Mouthpieces that they go in. I have searched ebay and the net with no success. Someone, somewhere, has GOT to have a few of these floating around!! New or used, it don't matter. (I can sanitize them if they are used.) Asked by Jolyn Argudo 1 year ago.

I have an extra one that's new in the package, would you be intrested in trading for a 6 pack of cartridges? Answered by Tatyana Parfait 1 year ago.

Just go to the pharmacy where you get them. They are included with the cartridges. Sometimes we forget to give them out or some patients have one and don't need it, til they ask for a new one. So just go to the place you got it, and they will give it to you free. Answered by Shavonda Lacatena 1 year ago.
