What medicines contain acetaminophen?
im looking for ones that you can buy without a presciption... Asked by Hwa Wisener 1 year ago.

Acetaminophen goes under the name if Tylenol or an off brand. Just look for the word acetaminophen. I heard on the news that they were pulling all acetaminophen off the shelf. Also pain pills can have this in them too as well as Nyquil. Acetaminophen can be very dangerous and you can overdose on it. It also affects the liver but so do many other drugs. If people would only read the label or ask the pharmacist, this wouldn't be a problem. It is a problem for me, as I am deathly allergic to aspirin or IB-P's and must take Tylenol (or other store brand) for headaches, aches and pains, arthritis, fever, etc. Any OTC drug can be harmful. When in doubt, ask your pharmacist and read the printout instructions. Acetaminophen does not have aspirin in it. I also need to take acetaminophen or Tylenol Arthritis as ordered by a doctor but bought by me. I always educate myself about any medicines including OTC drugs. Answered by Elin Swider 1 year ago.
