Naprelan is a brand name for sustained-release naproxen. Naproxen is the generic name for the drug. Basically naprelan is a long acting version of naproxen. Its like buying Cheerios versus the generic store brand honey-crunch O-rings. Other anti-inflammatories include ibupofen (Advil, motrin, generic, etc) Answered by Kathaleen Neuberger 2 years ago.

Can you take naprelan while taking Seroquel and Celexa?
Asked by Carisa Laumann 2 years ago.

Naprelan, naproxin sodium or Aleve, should be safe to take with your other medications. Naprelan is an anti-inflammatory/pain reliever, both prescription or OTC, but it's always wise to ask your doctor first. Answered by Marybeth Mowers 2 years ago.

Is it okay to drink while on naprelan?
i know its advised not to, but i was curious to see if i can get away with a drinking a few beers...also if i dont drink while on them, how long after im done taking the naprelan is it safe to drink? Asked by Avis Kozatek 2 years ago.

Call a pharmacist. They are so smart and helpful. Pharmacists know more about meds than many doctors! The phone number should be on the bottle of the naprelan, or you can look up Pharmacies in the Yellow Pages. Depending on how long you've taking them, the pharmacist might say 1-2 beers is ok, but to sip very slowly to make sure you feel OK. You can get a couple opinions to make sure they say the same thing. :) Answered by Dusty Cooperstein 2 years ago.

no. dont drink on it. but i would say the day after you should be fine to start drinking. if it says not to drink then def. listen to it. Answered by Jesse Blase 2 years ago.

How long do anti inflamatory meds take to work? naprelan?
I've been takin the generic brand of benadryl for about a week as this has been going on, but thanks for the help and advice! Asked by Lorretta Blair 2 years ago.

It should begin to work in about half an hour. But if it has been swollen for a loooong time then it will take a while to reverse the swelling. Something I have done is to take a Benedryl to help reduce swelling that is more immediate and not the long-term swelling. The reason is that some of the tissue swelling is caused by the tissue being damaged by swelling! There is histamine released into the tissue which causes swelling for a different reason. So taking Benedryl, an antihistamine, will relieve that, immediate, kind of swelling and will feel a little better more quickly while the other stuff works on the more long-term swelling. Try it! If it doesn't work for some reason then there is nothing forcing you to take any more. It can only help. Answered by Tajuana Jack 2 years ago.
