Should I be using Naphcon A to relieve viral pink eye?
By viral pink eye I mean viral conjunctivitis. What I want to relieve is the redness. I read somewhere that viral conjunctivitis doesnt really have a cure and it goes away on its own and that I can relieve some of its nasty symptoms (like redness and itching) until then by using eye drops. Asked by Jewell Silacci 1 year ago.

Steroid drops are usually used. Naphcon-A is for use with allergy symptoms but the symptoms are similar to that of viral conjunctivitis. You can use it. And use ice packs for itching, pain and redness. They work wonders. Answered by Ciera Burgman 1 year ago.

Well that was an extremely stupid thing to do, wasn't it? Pheniramine is highly sedating, depresses the heart rate and permeates cellular membranes easily. It is the most frequently overdosed antihistamine in humans. By putting the drops in her eye you have given the drug a direct pathway to the brain via the optic nerve. Adult humans only need 2 drops per eye as a maximum dose, and it is illegal to use the medication on children under 6. Now imagine what it can do to a tiny 3.5 kg dog. Get her to an emergency vet now, you idiot, and don't ever give human medicines to a dog again. Answered by Denny Eacho 1 year ago.

Naphcon A Eye Drops Answered by Eboni Maschio 1 year ago.

Do not put any drops in your dog's eyes unless you first discuss it with a vet. Don't take the risk of send your dog blind. Answered by Cristin Leanza 1 year ago.

you'd better get this dog to a vet fast. what you did was stupid and dangerous Answered by April Twait 1 year ago.

What are the best eye drops for bacterial conjunctivitis?
and just straight vinegar will help it go away??? Asked by Nicole Defosses 1 year ago.

vinegar. and the best thing about it is that it is "all natural" and your sure to have some in the pantry. 3 - 4 drops every hour, should be cleared up within the next 48 hours. edit: it sure will, dont waste your money on chemicals. this is NATURAL, CHEAP and EFFECTIVE! your eyes are precious, the last thing you want to do is be putting chemicals into them!
