I stated feeling short of breath, then I felt really strange. After I took my last dosage at 3:44 this morning my stomach started burning. My stomached stopped hurting but should I still go to the doctor to get it checked out? I called Poison Control and they told me to basically ride it out. : / Answered by Pura Saltarelli 1 year ago.

Motrin IB is Ibuprofen, which is much better to overdose on than Tylenol (which will kill you). Ibuprofen will make your stomach very upset if you take too much but other than that you should be fine. If you start violently throwing up you might want to call an ambulance or go to the emergency room but they won't be able to do very much for you :( Sorry you're not feeling well but you should be fine in 24 hours. P.S. For people that say there are liver concerns, this is not true. You're thinking of Tylenol. Answered by Avery Strahl 1 year ago.

Taking about 10 motrins in 20 hours is not really an OD. Taking 10 or more at once would be. You should still let your doctor know since there could be stomach lining and or liver concerns. That is why you should ALWAYS read and understand the directions for medicine BEFORE you take them. EDIT: Although rare, Hepatic side effects have included elevations in liver function tests in up to 15% of patients. Vanishing bile duct syndrome has been associated with ibuprofen use. In addition to what the EMT said, keep in mind that doctors often prescribe it at much higher doses than the over the counter dosage. You probably had those symptoms because you were worried about overdose. If it bothers your stomach, well, that is another matter. Try taking it with food, or try a different pain reliever like Alleve or Tylenol. Answered by Sharyn Cornelison 1 year ago.

If Poison Control told you to ride it out, then that's better advice than you'll get from random people on the Internet. If you happen to have a bottle of Alpha Lipoic Acid supplement lying around, take a capsule of that now. ...and, of course, you should skip your next couple of doses of Motrin. Or maybe skip more than a couple of doses. Edit: Go with what Christopher says. I was thinking Tylenol. Answered by Noriko Diluzio 1 year ago.

who takes pills EVERY four hours? you're going to burn a whole in your stomach and all your juices are going to burn a whole through your belly. then an alien creature will crawl out. :P let's see. 200 mgs/capsule. you took 2 every 4 hrs. 400 mgs. 7:30 to 3:44, that's approx 6 dosages. hmmm, that's 2400 mgs. you're going to die. in fact, i don't know how you had the strength to write this message. okay, you basically doubled up on an over-the-counter med. not a big deal. drink some milk to coat your tummy. also, if you're in that much pain see a freakin' dr. ibuprofin will eventually bore a hole right through you....kidding, but it wouldn't be good at all if you continue to take it this way. also... 6 pills a day is a simple rule of thumb for any over the counter med. any and practically ALL. Poison control im pretty sure is a smart group of people, i would listen and just ride it out. If there are other problems then definitley see a doctor. Answered by Hertha Windauer 1 year ago.

If you feel fine for another two hours, just don't do anything, I guess. Go to the doctor if you feel any more symptoms. Drink a lot of water. Answered by Andreas Lamott 1 year ago.

Motrin IB.....?
would motrin ib be the best pill to take for menstrual cramps? Asked by Melody Devera 1 year ago.

all it is is IB profen..which is a muscle relaxor and since all menstrual cramps are, are painful muscle spasms..the answer is yes!! Answered by Jolie Hismith 1 year ago.

Ok Motrin is great for cramps because it takes the pain away BUT it is also a blood thinner and it will make you bleed a lot. So be very careful when taking it and be sure to eat food when taking it cause depending on the doses (200, 300, 600 or 800mg) it can hurt your stomach. Good luck Answered by Larisa Koller 1 year ago.

yes. it's an antiprostaglandin-cramps are caused by an overabundance of prostaglandins....motrin is the best. tylenol, advil, aleve, none of them work as well. Answered by Hellen Tomei 1 year ago.

Yes because it's an anti inflammatory. If you are bloated drink some caffeinated iced tea and that will help on that point. Answered by Francie Ulman 1 year ago.

It works best for me better than tylenol or asprin. Answered by Terra Ruocco 1 year ago.

No the best thing would be Premsyn .....Works great Answered by Regina Lafountain 1 year ago.

yeah it works better than tylenol. Answered by Elouise Spartz 1 year ago.

I took a 200 mg.Motrin Ib at 2 p.m. Its now 4:30p.m. It is making me very dizzy.Any ideas how long?
it will stay in my body or how i can help get it out faster? Asked by Garth Luhr 1 year ago.

whatever you are taking the motrin for is what is probablly causing you to get dizzy. Motrin does not do that. If you have a triage at your hospital that you can call i would call them they can give you some ideas on what you can do. But like stated already........drink alot of water and do not get up too fast. That could cause you to pass out which could lead to worse things.. Call your local help number for a nurses suggestion. Answered by Esmeralda Embt 1 year ago.

Motrin will make you sick or dizzy if you took it on a empty stomach. I would drink alot of water and milk will coat your stomach. So I would drink some milk and eat a slice of bread to absorb what is left of it. Hope you start filling better if not go to the doctor you might be allergic to it. You never know Answered by Tajuana Vanvalkenbur 1 year ago.

A 200 mg Motrin should not make you dizzy, unless you have a weak metabolism ,was this over the counter or prescription form a doctor. Answered by Martha Heppe 1 year ago.

holy crap you must have a fragile body system if a motrin is making you dizzy....i would definitely drink LOTS of water and orange juice...get yourself peeing as much as possible... Answered by Colby Vanbeveren 1 year ago.

start peeing drink lots its already in your system so no use throwing it up....Next time stick with something like just plain old tylenol.....it might just last like 30 - an hour ur dizziness feeling Answered by Lindsy Freet 1 year ago.

Sounds like you need to see a doctor. Answered by Alice Mussmann 1 year ago.

Can you take adderall with Motrin 1B?
I've already taken the adderall (Barr Pharmaceuticals generic 20mg) and I've got some throat pain that just wont go away. I've heard that Adderall and Motrin shouldn't effect each other but I couldn't find any info on Motrin 1B, nor do I know what it is. Any Insight on this would be great Asked by Marybelle Klicka 1 year ago.

Motrin IB is ibuprofen, a painkiller. Official guidelines report no interactions between the two, just be careful and desist mixing them if you develop other symptoms e.g. headache, nausea, etc. Remember to read the instructions carefully on both before taking them. Take 400mg ibuprofen every 6 hours, no more than 2400mg per 24 hours, unless otherwise state by Motrin IB. Answered by Virgil Mayben 1 year ago.

Can I take melatonin and a motrin ib?
I have a headache and bad sleeping pattern. I'm 15. Asked by Maurita Plumley 1 year ago.

Yes, you can take them together. Melatonin is actually a naturally occuring substance in the body, and as long as you don't abuse it or the Motrin, you'll be fine. Answered by Collin Andrion 1 year ago.

NO!!! SCAMS just empty wallets. Answered by Norene Zuk 1 year ago.

What will taking like 5 motrin Ib's do?
Asked by Joey Lugar 1 year ago.

How often are you taking that amount? Each mortin is 200 mg. Prescription motrin is 1000 mg, so when you take 5 you are taking the equivalent of 1 prescription mortin. As long as you don't take that amount more than twice a day you should be fine. Make sure you always take it with food or milk. Answered by Krishna Millora 1 year ago.

Well, it could give you a bleeding ulcer or other more serious side effects like kidney or liver damage. So why would you want to take that many anyway? It's just not a very wise thing to do. Whatever is bothering you can be worked out but organ damage cannot be reversed. Answered by Mickey Misko 1 year ago.

I'm not sure if it would kill you but I would be careful with taking more than the recommended dose. I know they say something like "don't take more than two in an hour" or something like that. I mean, honestly, if you aren't trying to kill yourself what would you need to take five for and if you are you need to try and seek some help about that. Answered by Juliane Naruaez 1 year ago.

maybe a little stomach upset. Answered by Rosario Karman 1 year ago.
