Why am I feeling sick to my stomach while taking Monodox?
I'm taking Monodox for acne... after I take it get a VERY upset stomach... anyone know why? Asked by Velvet Callum 4 months ago.

Nausea is one of the common side effects of Monodox. Only you know if it's worth it or not. I bought some generic anti-nausea medication at Walmart. It's the generic for Emetrol, but it's the same stuff and it's Walmart's "Equate" brand of "anti-nausea medication." It's inexpensive and works really well. Give it a try, or stop the Monodox. Don't be afraid to talk to any pharmacist. They're really smart and helpful. You could call a 24-hour pharmacist now. Just look up "Pharmacies" in the Yellow Pages. They have lots of ads. Maybe the Monodox is the wrong acne med for you. Pharmacists know more about medications than most doctors! (Shh...) Good luck! ;) Answered by Sacha Score 4 months ago.

you could be allergic to something that its made out of and your stomach probably does not agree with it. consult your doctor/ who ever prescribed it about it. Answered by Cora Cotant 4 months ago.

Why am I getting stomach sickness while taking Monodox?
I'm taking Monodox for acne... after I take it get a VERY upset stomach... anyone know why? Asked by Alberta Hildman 4 months ago.

Upset stomach is a very common side effect of Monodox (generic doxycycline). This is an antibiotic and many people get upset stomach with antibiotics. Try taking it with some food to see if that helps. If it continues to bother you, tell your provider and see if he/she can change it to another antibiotic like Erythromycin or Bactrim DS (if you are not allergic). There are also topical antibiotics (ones that only go on your skin, like a cream). Good luck! Answered by Alberto Taschner 4 months ago.

could you be preg,? Or maybe you should just eat every time you take it........ Hope I helped :( Get better soon! Answered by Seymour Japp 4 months ago.

What happens if I mix monodox and iron pills?
I know I'm suppose to wait 2 hours before or after taking iron pills and calcium pills to take monodox... But what happens if I don't wait the full 2 hours? Asked by Vernetta Waver 4 months ago.

Iron, calcium, magnesium and other minerals can prevent Monodox (doxycycline) from being absorbed, which means it won't be as effective. That is why minerals should be taken two hours after taking the Monodox, to make sure it's been processed and absorbed by the GI tract. Answered by Everett Villao 4 months ago.

Monodox is basically given to kill bacteria ( acne ), and everywhere on the internet it says not to take with dairy, or take 2-3 hours before/after using dairy products, BUT, the pharmacist said " this isnt the one that binds with calcium, so you can pretty much take it with anything ", can someone confirm this please, because i drink protein shakes in the morning and night. A pharmacist has credible knowledge than "everywhere on the internet". If you want a second opinion, ask another pharmacist. Answered by Rebbecca Oaxaca 4 months ago.
