Well today I went to my obgyn and she put me on microgestin 1.5/30 for birthcontrol. Right now she has me on a sample pack of generess fe, by the way. So when i'm done with that i'm going on microgestin. I was reading some reviews on it, and for the microgestin.. It doesn't sound very good (water retention, crazy acne, nausea, and the list goes on) That was from ALOT of the reviews.. so now im scared for when I get on it.. Any advice? help?.. Answered by Alethea Anania 1 month ago.

I obviously can't argue what you saw regarding the acne reviews, but microgestin is actually used to TREAT acne (the first link). Every body is different and will react differently. And remember, just because multiple side effects are listed does NOT guarantee that YOU will experience each one. The side effects for Generess Fe and the microgestin are nearly identical. Generess specifies their fluid retention to the ankles and feet (microgestin does NOT). And microgestin lists stomach upset (Generess does NOT). My advice? Take the microgestin without bias and see how it works for YOU. Answered by Dong Ercolani 1 month ago.

I'm scared to take Microgestin fe 1.5/30?
My gyno just perscribed me microgestin fe 1.5/30 but after reading all the negative side effects all over the web, I'm actually scared to take them. From what I've read, they just make you gain weight and get moody. Any positive reviews out there? Asked by Devon Hager 1 month ago.

I have been taking Microgestin since I gave birth to my daughter in august last year and I have not put any weight on or had any side effects. This is the only birth control pill that has worked for me and I have no problems with it. However, different meds affect people in different ways so I cant speak for you. The side effects are there for precautions only and 90% people never get any of them. The best way to find out is to take a month trial and keep an eye on your weight, health and general happiness on the drug. Hope this helps :) Answered by Hayden Bonito 1 month ago.

Birth Control Microgestin Fe 1.5/30?
It was prescribed by a doctor, but a friend introduced them. Asked by Talisha Parmley 1 month ago.

Hello, I recently got introduced to this birth control pills by a friend, and I don't want to start taking them until I'm aware of all side affects and read as many reviews as I can, if there is anything you think I should know about this pill, such as side effects and how well it works if you are on it, & how long it takes to start being effective that would be great, thanks ! Microgestin 1.5 30 Side Effects Answered by Dorine Bonadio 1 month ago.

I was on that same pill, but stopped it after the first pack. I am VERY sensitive to the hormones in birth control, but this one wasn't too bad. I did have some pimples and mood swings, but I also didn't allow my body the full 3 months to adjust. I only stopped it because my boyfriend and I broke up, so I won't be having sec. The first few months of any pill you will get at least some side-effects. Most any side-effect that you get will subside after 3-6 months, so it's important to keep on it. Every woman handles birth control differently, so there's no telling how it will be with you. Answered by Alma Olberding 1 month ago.

Help With Microgestin Fe 1.5 / 30?
My endocrinologist gave me Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for a treatment and i want to know if this pills cause weight gain? Asked by Edyth Dieppa 1 month ago.

Yes, these pills cause weight gain Answered by Audrea Vaisman 1 month ago.

You ought to see your gyno. But I consider the symptoms are as a result of the lack of hormones you were getting from the pill. You might have heard of withdraw symptoms right. Good that is what it appears like. By the way you will have one other period this month. It is the average bleed off after stopping the tablet, so don't freak out. And you are going to have your period as usual subsequent month. Answered by Carroll Steadman 1 month ago.

Answered by Carissa Rallis 1 month ago.

To protect against pregnancy the Microgestin should be effective within 7 days. Also, on the finance front you can let the doctor know that you like the Loestrin and want to stay on it but would like to get samples instead. I do this myself whenever I am on the pill. I was on Loestrin for the last year, and I had only gotten my period every 2 months which drove me absolutely nuts because when it didn't come a certain month it would scare me. So, I went to a new doctor and explained to her my frustration, and when I went to go fill the prescription I was handed microgestin. My question is do you think by upping my hormone intake with the new pill, that I will gain weight? Or will it not matter since my body is already used to taking the pill? Answered by Cary Colaizzi 1 month ago.

I take microgestin and it causes me to have my period every month and it lightens it.. But I don't like it so much. It didn't cause me to gain weight but if all you're looking for is just to have your period every month then it's good. Answered by Lisabeth Insco 1 month ago.

Hey i'm on Microgynon 30 And the symptoms i've had were tiredness, I was always moody for a while. It's supposed to lighten your periods and make them less painful, (RUBBISH!!) Mine are really painful and heavy, yeah i must admit it's gone from a 7 day period to a 5 day so thats the only good thing its done for me (Apart from preventing me dropping sprogs) :) I know you said Microgestin. but i think they're the same? xxx Answered by Shantelle Hullender 1 month ago.

Birth control pills are about as useful to a transwoman as taking sugar pills. The hormones in any birth control pill is so low that it will have no effect on a transwoman. Please grow up and learn to treat people with respect. I have a child that is severely handicapped. If I heard you refer to anyone as a "retard", you would be luck if I only had words with you. You sound like some snot-nosed middle class teenager that has never had to deal with difficulties in life. If yes, please check your arrogance at the door, come in, stay a while, and learn. Final comment. Please do not self-medicate. There is a rather lengthy list of possible side effects. Many of these side effects can severely damage your body or kill you before you know that you are being affected by the drug. I know, been there, done that. Almost had a life threatening condition. How soon after I start taking microgestin fe 1.5/30 can I have unprotected sex?
I started my period Thurs 10/04 and started the birth control on 10/07 Asked by Beverlee Hassen 1 month ago.

When a combined contraceptive pill like Microgestin fe is begun within the first 5 days of your period, no backup method is needed. If you had waited longer to start taking it, you'd need a backup method for 7 days. Answered by Catherin Ori 1 month ago.

You are meant to wait three complete months till it's entirely reliable to have unprotected intercourse. I take Yasmin and feature most effective been on it for approximately 7 months, and my gyno. nonetheless advised me to attend three months. Why take the chance anyhow? Especially for those who've long past to this a lot main issue (gotten start manipulate) to make sure that you do not get pregnant. Yes it is effective. And concerning the late period it's probably your body adjusting to the pill it can take up to 3 months. Also you should be on the lookout for possible side effect of this birth control pill. Answered by Francesco Pfautz 1 month ago.

Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 vs. Loestrin 24 1/20...?
I have been taking Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for a while now and I went to a new doctor and they prescribed me Loestrin 24 1/20 because I thought that was what I was taking. Is it much of a difference and will it affect me badly in any way?? Asked by Tad Parshall 1 month ago.

Every woman's body is different but both are excellent (and popular) forms of birth control. Only way to know how it will affect you is to wait and see. If you don't like it, switch back. Answered by Kathline Breining 1 month ago.
