Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Margy Winzelberg 1 year ago.

Meprobamate has no anticancer use but it is given as anxiolytic in last stage cancer. MEPROBAMATE (Equanil®, Miltown®, Trancot®) has a sedative action that can cause relaxation and help reduce tension or anxiety. It is recommended for short-term use only. Meprobamate is sometimes used as a sedative before surgical procedures. Federal law prohibits the transfer of meprobamate to any person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed. Generic meprobamate tablets are available. Answered by Klara Scheffrahn 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. What percentage of carisoprodol(soma) is converted into the actve metabolite meprobamate?
Asked by Carline Urena 1 year ago.

Roughly 23% -- depending to a large extent on whether the subject is an extensive, rapid, or ultra-rapid metabolizer. Soma is converted to meprobamate in the liver by the CYP2C19, an enzyme with 4 alleles. Answered by Idell Stuckemeyer 1 year ago.

The Physician orders 0.2g Meprobamate tabs. The dose on hand is 400mg tabs. How many tabs are given?
Need help! Asked by Rocky Ryce 1 year ago.

formula is desired/stock 200 mg/400mg = 0.5 tab Answered by Timothy Weisinger 1 year ago.

0.2 gm = 200 mg to give that dose, you need a half tablet of the 400mg tabs Answered by Phylicia Saranzak 1 year ago.

0.2 g = 200 mg. So you only need half of the 400 mg tablet per dose. Answered by Peggy Vall 1 year ago.

One half tablet per dose. Answered by Krysta Kalisek 1 year ago.

I recently had a urine drug test and it showed meprobamate, i have never taken meprobamate.?
i take xanax, soma, effexor xr, and drink wine occasionally. i take benedryl and motrin when needed. why would i have a urine drug screen test come back saying i was positive for meprobamate? Asked by Maisie Kingshott 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by Ike Holdbrook 1 year ago.

Maybe the lab mixed it up but if you have moved recently into a different home it could have been a meth lab house and if there is any possibility of this plz get the home checked Answered by Marty Schomin 1 year ago.

I think you did take some meprobromate. Altho drug tests are sometimes false. Answered by Alfonso Ureno 1 year ago.

If I usually take the drug "Soma" daily 4-6 times a day but haven't taken it for 7 days, will it show up ?
will it show up in a urine test? Asked by Tommy Connie 1 year ago.

Meprobamate, the active metabolite of carisoprodol (Soma) can be detected in the urine for about 72 hours. Answered by Damien Derring 1 year ago.

No, if this is a basic urine drug test since Soma is not tested for in these drug tests. However, if the test is specific for Soma or Carisoprodol, then yes, it can be detected. Answered by Marlo Casavez 1 year ago.

No it's nothing that stays in your system for long periods of time, thats why doctors will prescribe it for you to take many times a day because it leaves your system that quick. Answered by Tynisha Tointon 1 year ago.

i would think that they would be..my ex was on those..there just a musle relaxer.. Answered by Elsa Obryant 1 year ago.

Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Sunday Stark 1 year ago.

I realize it means a positive drug test, and that someone failed it, being my birth father. What does this mean, positive, alprazolam, 54 micrograms/liter (+/- 27%); positive, hydrocodone, 110 micrograms/liter (+/- 16%); and positive, meprobamate, my mg/L (+/- 23%). Are these high levels, actually what is a normal level in the blood for these three drugs? What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Grant Wildin 1 year ago.

Okay, these are all metabolite cutoff levels detected in a drug test. The answer to your question of the standard of normality is difficult to answer. This is because the results all depend on how long after the last dose, and the frequency between past detectable doses. Dosage information is necessary as well. I am going to pose a guess as to the normal levels based on the pass/fail standards of a normal drug test. Going in order: Alprazolam 54 ng/mL (+/-27%) Alprazolam (Xanax: anti-anxiety med) For alprazolam, the ratio at which detection is over 25% accurate is 26 ng/mL. This test is showing back at 54, which could either mean he had taken his medication on the day of the test, and/or that he took one or two extra of them recently. Hydrocodone 110 ng/mL (+/-16%) Hydrocodone (Vicodin: prescription pain-killer) For hydrocodone, the ratio at which detection is over 25% accurate is 116 ng/mL. This test is showing back at 110, which seems to indicate normal circumstances if they were taken a day or less before the test. Meprobamate ?? ng/mL (+/-23%) Meprobamate (Muscle relaxant) I cannot accurately interpret this result as the cutoff level is not specified. Meprobamate is an anxiolytic, and there are several classes of anxiolytics. For the most common one, the ratio at which detection is over 25% accurate is 150 ng/mL. Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Teodora Poorman 1 year ago.

Answered by Jamey Follin 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Seth Foshee 1 year ago.

What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Irene Oshields 1 year ago.

Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Audra Antione 1 year ago.

Answered by Hermine Watling 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. i take xanax, soma, effexor xr, and drink wine occasionally. i take benedryl and motrin when needed. why would i have a urine drug screen test come back saying i was positive for meprobamate? Asked by Kam Calvetti 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by Sherell Swapp 1 year ago.

Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Cristal Vieira 1 year ago.

What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Rocio Savel 1 year ago.

For the most common one, the ratio at which detection is over 25% accurate is 150 ng/mL. i take xanax, soma, effexor xr, and drink wine occasionally. i take benedryl and motrin when needed. why would i have a urine drug screen test come back saying i was positive for meprobamate? Asked by Cindy Guitreau 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by Shanda Tanguay 1 year ago.

Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Brice Rodnguez 1 year ago.

What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Ward Antunez 1 year ago.

Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Teisha Konopacki 1 year ago.

Answered by Genny Manfra 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Carri Sellmeyer 1 year ago.

Answered by Renaldo Overall 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Kareen Dudack 1 year ago.

Answered by Syreeta Stucki 1 year ago.

Asked by Gary Sheats 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by Billy Vallario 1 year ago.

Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Earline Nicosia 1 year ago.

What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Ofelia Loyer 1 year ago.

For the most common one, the ratio at which detection is over 25% accurate is 150 ng/mL. i take xanax, soma, effexor xr, and drink wine occasionally. i take benedryl and motrin when needed. why would i have a urine drug screen test come back saying i was positive for meprobamate? Asked by Ivan Bacino 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by Corey Woofter 1 year ago.

Normal drug test range?
These are prescribed medications, taken daily, but I think that's too much in the system. I am saying what is a normal range if you take it as written. Asked by Sheron Mcculloch 1 year ago.

What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Deeanna Alston 1 year ago.

Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Jodee Vannuland 1 year ago.

Answered by Christopher Nephew 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. What is the NORMAL level for these drugs in a toxicology report Answered by Selina Schustrich 1 year ago.

There is no cure for anxiety and depression, European or otherwise. If there were a cure, Americans would have discovered and published it In the DSM-IV-TR. Statements of evidence, and documentation always bring force and understanding to an argument. Answered by Ron Nucci 1 year ago.

Xanax and Valium are both addictive. A knowlegable psychiatrist will be able to offer you non-addictive alternatives. Answered by Shenita Knole 1 year ago.

Why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer?
why the meprobamate 400 used in treatment of last-stages-of-colon-cancer Asked by Chang Barganier 1 year ago.

Answered by Roger Wearly 1 year ago.

It isn't used as treatment for any cancer. It's used for anxiety DISORDERS. The stress of everyday life does not qualify for its use, but I can see it being used for severe anxiety that comes with the stress of having cancer, BUT can not see justification in it being used in an end of life treatment. Roughly 23% -- depending to a large extent on whether the subject is an extensive, rapid, or ultra-rapid metabolizer. Soma is converted to meprobamate in the liver by the CYP2C19, an enzyme with 4 alleles. Answered by Norman Toppin 1 year ago.

Asked by Sibyl Cromartie 1 year ago.

It was the Soma. From the referenced paper: "Carisoprodol (SOMA) is tested for by Ameritox by GC/MS confirmation, looking for its main metabolite, Meprobomate. This is due to the fact that only a small amount of Carisoprodol is excreted in urine. Meprobomate accounts for a much higher amount." Answered by John Chio 1 year ago.

Maybe the lab mixed it up but if you have moved recently into a different home it could have been a meth lab house and if there is any possibility of this plz get the home checked Answered by Rene Tauares 1 year ago.

I think you did take some meprobromate. Altho drug tests are sometimes false. Answered by Lindsay Shuffield 1 year ago.

Meprobamate, the active metabolite of carisoprodol (Soma) can be detected in the urine for about 72 hours. Answered by Joana Walchak 1 year ago.

No, if this is a basic urine drug test since Soma is not tested for in these drug tests. However, if the test is specific for Soma or Carisoprodol, then yes, it can be detected. Answered by Penni Snoke 1 year ago.

No it's nothing that stays in your system for long periods of time, thats why doctors will prescribe it for you to take many times a day because it leaves your system that quick. Answered by Kenisha Woodworth 1 year ago.
