So I been having irregular bleeding for the past year I would get my period for 15 to 20 days some days lighter then others and sometimes super heavy flow I finally went to my doctor she ended up putting be on provera (medroxyprogesterone acetate 10mg) to control my menstrual I'm supposed to take it 20th to 30th of the month. But my question is can I still get pregnant while on it? Am I going to start ovulating? Does it increase or decrease my chances of getting pregnant? Answered by Laine Catalani 4 months ago.

YES, you can get pregnant on it. YES, you still ovulate. And you do not WANT to get pregnant on it, because it might cause problems!!! Here's a link to the PubMed website on Provera, and I copied/pasted the important info below. "tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking medroxyprogesterone, call your doctor immediately. Medroxyprogesterone should never be used to test for pregnancy or to prevent miscarriage during the first few months of pregnancy. Medroxyprogesterone has not been shown to prevent miscarriage and may harm the fetus." (which means it almost certainly will not harm the fetus, this is more of a CYA statement, but it does mean that it has not been shown to be SAFE to use when pregnant!!!!) Answered by Berta Sweany 4 months ago.

relax. attempt to be good and affected human being. Getting pregnant is only the first section. After, you should section alot extra tricky judgements and concerns larger than this. attempt to attend to it gently and do not panic. Answered by Ernestine Leso 4 months ago.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE MEDICINE medroxyprogesterone acetate TO GO AWAY 4RM UR SYSTEM?
Asked by Rosana Valiton 4 months ago.

Once Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone acetate) is injected, it cannot be neutralized or reversed should you experience side effects. Therefore, you may have to live with the side effects until the effect wears off. Once Depo Provera is stopped, it takes an average of four to ten months from the last shot before you can become pregnant. Answered by Teodoro Desoto 4 months ago.

Get some conkers. Put one in each corn of the room and this stops the little blighters. Not sure how it works and it is a bit of an old wives tale, but tried it last year and had a spider free existance since! Answered by Marge Donehoo 4 months ago.

No, it is not a birth control pill. Answered by Olene Gutteridge 4 months ago.

I've never heard of that, but you should take mirena. It isn't a pill or a hassle. Answered by Crissy Tinelli 4 months ago.

What is the Polarity of Medroxyprogesterone Acetate?
I am in Chem 300 and trying to determine the polarity of Depo-Provera. I understand the concept and the Dipole-Dipole H-bonding London Disperse concepts on determining it, but I don't know how to determine if the chemical structure of this compound's polarity. Can anyone help me? Asked by Yetta Venerable 4 months ago.

Your question is incomplete; non-grammatical. To determine the compounds polarity is to determine the quaternary structure; a subset of protein structure science determined by biochemical analysis. Maybe try migrating is on some agarose of differing solubility and in different pH and examine the results? You would know it's size and beta vs. alpha folding. Why would my doctor prescribe me Medroxyprogesterone Acetate???
he prescribed me birth control pills and then this....what is it for????? I never had to take anything like it. Your answer would be very helpful. thanks Asked by Kasey Kahawai 4 months ago.

MPA is a type of progestin (synthetic progesterone) that is often used in the treatment of menstrual disorders. So if you are suffering from endometriosis or other menstrual disorder, this is probably why. For the best answer, I suggest asking the doctor that prescribed these medications. What can I have if medroxyprogesterone acetate did not help?
I'm 20!! no menopause!! lol Asked by Velva Incarnato 4 months ago.

I am actually seeing a gyno for thee same kinda situation. The doctor told me that i would take the progesterone for 10 days and on the 11th i would start my period. I hadn't had it for four months and the first day i took the pill i started a very heavy period. When i went back to the doctor she said that that was good and if i hadn't have started it it may mean that my body is not producing enough estrogen and making too much testosterone. other ways you can tell if that is the case is if you are seeing darker facial hair and acne. and it gives you little cysts that form on your ovaries. you can research it on a medical website that's credible. message me for any more questions. Answered by Deloras Fila 4 months ago.

Low estrogen. That could mean anything, depending on your health/ age. You could be starting menopause, or have polycystic ovary syndrome, or ovarian failure, just for starters. But there are a number of other conditions that could cause this, and you still have time to start a bleed. Your doc is the best one to answer this. Answered by Silvana Andringa 4 months ago.

i have a friend just like that she may come one like once every 4 or 5 months her doctoor put her on birhtcontrol to regulate her periods and it helped Answered by Allene Delisio 4 months ago.
