I take lopressor (Metoprolol) Blood pressure and?
I guess Im not supposed to be in the sun? I did not know this...I was in the sun Yesterday didnt get burnt, Went in the tanningbed today and got a little burnt but nuthin severe, Why cant I get sunlight? What will happen since Ive been exposed to sun and taking this medicine? Im sorta worried!!! :/ Asked by Nila Roat 1 year ago.

I think you're probably taking Lopressor HCT, not lopressor. It's the HCT (hydrochlorothiazide) portion of the drug that causes photosensitivity, and generally you're simply more prone to getting a skin rash on this medicine. Answered by Judie Yerico 1 year ago.

Why do my hypertension medication makes me so sleepy? i take clonidine, cardizem, and HCT?
Asked by Evon Troung 1 year ago.

I'm with you. I'm on .3 of clonidone twice a day and Lopressor twice a day. While I am glad not to have the extreme high blood pressure and pulse pounding in my body all the time, I wish I had more energy. But we have to stay on the medication! Not taking it can severely damage the heart--uncontrolled high blood pressure and pulse rates put too much stress on your arteries. Answered by Austin Rahoche 1 year ago.

You might want to ask your doctor for another medication than Clonidine! I had very serious side effects with that drug to which others have reported the same results. My doctor switched me to Atenolol and the symptoms disappeared! Answered by America Carner 1 year ago.
