What is the difference between Loestrin 1/20 Fe and Loestrien 1/20-21?
I would like to know because I asked the nurse to call in Loestrin 1/20 but I didn't tell her Fe and she called in Loestrin 1/20-21 not Loestrin 1/20 Fe. I am switching from Loestrin 24 Fe so I figured that she would call in the 1/20 Fe but she didn't. So help please? Asked by Jovan Birdtail 3 months ago.

Fe- stands for iron,,,it has iron added or it dont loestrin 1/20 - 21 the first set of numbers is the amount of hormone in each pill, the second number is the number of pills (21 pack) if you are worried ask the pharmacist when you pick them up or call the dr back. Answered by Magali Tune 3 months ago.

there's a tender difference between the two, yet you're nevertheless going to be secure against being pregnant. i've got confidence the only difference is that Loestrin 24 and Loestrin a million/20 is their era lengths. So on Loestrin 24 fe you've gotten a 4 day era, and a 7 day era Loestrin fe a million/20. They the two have the comparable hormones nonetheless, so which you're superb. Difference between Loestrin 1/20, loestrin fe, and loestrin 24?
I've been researching loestrin and have seen many different uses of the name. Are they all the same thing just named differently, or does the 1/20, fe, and 24 all stand for something like doses? Asked by Shon Brooklyn 3 months ago.

I'm on Loestrin 24FE. The FE stands for iron. The "inactive" pills are green and instead of just containing sugar, they have an iron supplement. The 24 means there are 24 active days of pills. Most other birth control only have 21. Those three extra days stair-step down your hormone level. It helped me stop having hormonal migraines. I'm not sure what 1/20 is but its probably a slightly different formulation. Answered by Shelia Cobb 3 months ago.

Is there a difference between Loestrin 24 Fe 1/20 and Loestrin Fe 1/20?

I just finished my 3 month sample of Loestrin 24 Fe 1/20 and I went to the pharmacy to refill my prescription and when I got home I opened my BC and it said Loestrin Fe 1/20. I noticed that the pills were a light yellow instead of white which is what the other was and it also has 7 brown Fe pills instead of just 4 like I had been taking. I need to know if there is a difference between these two packs and if I need to go the pharmacy to have them check it out. I am getting married in 10 days and I need to know asap if there are any risks of getting pregnant with taking the Loestrin Fe 1/20. I have a ba feeling that my pharmacist gave me the wrong BC. Also, is this a generic or brand name BC? Because I didn't request for any of my RX to be changed. Thank you! :) Answered by Phyllis Edgcomb 3 months ago.

They are two different birth control products. The major difference is that Loestrin 24 has 24 active pills vs 21 active pills in Loestrin 1/20. Also, the latter is generically available. Loestrin 24 will be going generic soon. Answered by Heidi Odem 3 months ago.

Loestrin 21 1 20 Answered by Ulysses Pawlik 3 months ago.

There is a slight difference between the two, but you are still going to be protected against pregnancy. I believe the only difference is that Loestrin 24 and Loestrin 1/20 is their period lengths. So on Loestrin 24 fe you will have a 4 day period, and a 7 day period Loestrin fe 1/20. They both have the same hormones though, so you are fine. Answered by Norman Battaglino 3 months ago.

I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for four months, and I really liked it, but my insurance stopped paying for it and I was switched to LoLoestrin 1/10 Fe, I only took that for a month before my insurance decided they wont pay for that either. On both of those pills, they had 24 active pills and 4 reminder pills. I would always get a light period that lasted the entire 4 days I was on the reminder pills. Now I got switched to Junel 1/20 Fe. It has the same formula as Loestrin 24 Fe, except it has 21 days of active pills and an entire week of inactive pills. Does this mean I will get my period for 7 days now? Anyone who knows or has any other info theyd like to share about this pill, I'd really appreciate it. Google wasn't helping much. Thanks :) Answered by Roxy Dupuy 3 months ago.

I'm on another generic of Loestrin, Microgestin 1/20. I also have 21 active days and 1 week of inactive iron pills. When I first started I would have my period for maybe 2-3 days out of the whole week. Now I usually don't get a period at all, other than some very light spotting. Hope this helped. I just wanted to know if I only need to provide the card at the pharmacy or will I need to provide any other documents (ID card, etc.) Since my husband sometimes collects my prescriptions for me, will he still be able to...? I was given the sample pack from my doctor and have completed that particular pack. I almost lost my breath to hear that the one pill that seems to be working for me after having to switch pills repeatedly over 3 yrs due to bad side effects cost $65.00, OMG..what the hell??? Thank you in advance for ur answers... Answered by Georgette Jewkes 3 months ago.

The new version of Loestrin (which is still only sold under the brand name and thus is more expensive) has 24 active pills (so the whole "shorter periods" thing). However, the old version (which has the exact same ingredients in each pill) has only 21 active pills (which is the traditional standard) and is now available as a generic. The generic is available in two different dosage levels, either "Loestrin Fe 1/20 Tabs 28" (which is the same dosage as Loestrin 24) or "Loestrin 1.5/30." I'm sure your doctor will know about this and can change your prescription. I get Loestrin Fe 1/20 Tabs 28 for $24/month or $68 for a 3 month supply at my pharmacy. Way cheaper than the brand version!! I used to use Yaz (and loved it), but my insurance changed and it, too became over $60/month. Yikes! Answered by Rubie Cuccia 3 months ago.

Would goin on the contraceptive pill make my boobs grow?..?
im 15 and flat chested and heard that the pill can help speed up the process? Asked by Michale Nakama 3 months ago.

certain pills help with the growth such as Loestrin 21 1/20 {my sister takes this kind and she is 23 but she is very petite and is helping her growth in the chest area} but i take Microgestin 1/20 and its really good at mainting my skin flawless and maintaining my weight and my mestrual cycle is not very active, and my chest is growing as well, well your prescription is based on what the doctor says and what he thinks its right depending on the way your health is...dont just think about wanting to have your chest grow it will happen sooner or later Answered by Georgiann Leek 3 months ago.

Hi, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the CurvyBust cream. I'm 24 years old and I've spent pretty much my whole life wishing I had slightly larger breasts. I'm normally a size A, I'd love to be a size B, especially when I wear certain kinds of low cut tops. I have a good figure, and I like what I have, but every now and then I would like a little bit more. Even if I had the money, (which I don't because I am a college student with loans to pay off), I would never consider going under the knife just to go up 1 cup size. So that's been my dilemma. I found out about curvybust cream when I was flipping through (Yahoo Answers). To be honest with you, I'm not the type of girl who would consider spending money on a cream that promises to increase breast size. It just seems like an impossible thing to claim. But there were three reasons that I decided to go for it: 1) I contacted them via their website because I had a question about the cream being OK for sensitive skin (which it is, because it is made of natural botanical ingredients.) 2) I was really impressed by their customer service and willingness to explain everything to me. 3) They offered me a free 12 day supply with no obligation, (I just had to pay the shipping costs- I wasn't too thrilled with that but it was still worth it to get the free product). Well, it's actually working! There is a noticeable difference in the size of my breasts! It's only been 10 days, and they say that the true final results won't appear until about the 4-6 month time frame, but based on what I can see, (and what my boyfriend can feel) there's definitely a difference. My breasts are standing out more, and they are fuller and rounder. Sometimes I am able to go out without a bra, now I can't. And I have a feeling that I might have to actually buy new bras if the growth continues. I'm looking forward to seeing how the next month goes. There might actually be a size B in my future! Woohoo! Answered by Kiana Douds 3 months ago.

It depends on your age, size, weigh, and hormones. Progesterone is what makes breasts grow, so technically any pill with a high level of progesterone will make your breasts grow. However, you need to keep in mind that in some people, the contraceptive pill will not make their breasts grow. Also there are a lot of risks associated with taking a contraceptive pill. Finally, your GP or gynecologist will give you a prescription for the one which is most appropriate to you, it may or may not make your breasts grow. Answered by Wei Barroso 3 months ago.

Yes they will grow if you use the pill. There are better ways of making your boobs grow one is to use a pump to get the glands open and let the blood flow dont over do it do it even time on both. They will grow at a slow pace but they wiil grow. The third to get implants but understand that they will have to be romoved as you grow and go one step larger.Pills can have an after effect so be carefull know what you are doinf first. Answered by Catalina Tackitt 3 months ago.

dont do that!....taking the pill will cause breakthro bleeding, hormonal imbalances....and when you are ready to have a baby, it may just prevent you from doing so.. you are too young to take those things, your body is just starting out and the pill could cause more problems than its worth there are herbs that can help you develop. I was as flat as the side of the wall until I had my first baby... if you are thin put some weight on...the boobs always follow the tummy... go to your local herb shp they have shakes in powder form that you can drink daily that will ad the weight also take some lady herbs for hormones and that will speed up the process.....just call your local herb shop and ask for estrogen and progesterone herbs jean Answered by Debrah Petula 3 months ago.

going on the pil this early can have really bad effects later on in life health wise there is evidence to support this can cause an increase in certain cancers as well as fertility problems if you go on too early or stay on for a long time. taking the pill at any age can still provide rarely fatal side effects such as certain cancers, and blood clots but you are more suceptable at an early age. it is also highly recomended again for health reasons not to take eastrogen and prostegen suplements until you are 21 again there is alot of evidence to support this due to fluctuating hormone levels. as far as i am aware there are no side effects of the pump but i have not done research on this. there are some natural ingredients such as fennel which can natural increase size try searching "how to naturaly increase breast size" on yahoo you are only 15 you body is constantly changeing and every time you get you period your hormone levels naturaly increase often resulting in natural breast growth if it bothers you that much you could try talking to your doctor and remember breasts arent everything Answered by Jamal Kusky 3 months ago.

Hi! I am currently on lo loestrin 24 fe and it is awesome! I have a much lighter flow and a shorter period with this birth control. The main reason why I am taking the birth control is for my unbearable cramps. Without birth control, I would be unable to do anything. I am currently using samples that my gyno gave me, but I will run out soon, and even with insurance this particular birth control is very pricey. I was wondering if there was any generic birth controls that are like lo loestrin 24 fe, or if you had any experience with severe cramps, but your birth control helped you significantly. What used to work for me was a shot of vodka in a glass of orange juice. Oil of evening primrose ( You get the capsules at most places that sell vitamins) won't help cramping but it can help regulate the flow if you take it every day. Answered by Hulda Eppes 3 months ago.

I need a new birth control pill?
I actually don't want to continue taking Loestrin. I'm going to talk to my gynocologist about this at my next appointment. However, I want people's opinion on the NAME of the birth control that they have taken and what the side effects are. Thanks! Asked by Gregorio Simonds 3 months ago.

I have been taking Loestrin 24e for just under a year. I have had a coupon that allowed me to get it for $24 per refill for 12 months. Since the 12 month period is over, I need a new, affordable birth control pill. I don't want to gain weight and I don't want to spend more than I'm spending now. I don't want an injection or a device installed in my vagina - I'm specifically looking for recommendations for a pill. Does anyone have first hand experience with a birth control pill with few side effects, no weight gain and is inexpensive? Answered by Sue Tollefsen 3 months ago.

If Loestrin 24e has been working for you then there is a way to continue the same exact medication but at the generic price. Loestrin 24e is Ethinyl estradiol 0.02 mg and norethindrone acetate 1 mg (28s) [24 white tablets] and ferrous fumarate 75 mg [4 brown tablets] Loestrin Fe 1/20 (generics - Microgestin™ Fe 1/20, Junel Fe 1/20) are Ethinyl estradiol 0.02 mg and norethindrone acetate 1 mg (28s) [21 white tablets] and ferrous fumarate 75 mg [7 brown tablets] The advantage of the 24e is supposed to be shorter lighter periods. But if you are disciplined then you can get a new prescription but for the Loestrin Fe 1/20 and buy an extra pack (without insurance its like $25 at most). Take the pack as normal but when you hit day 22, use a white tablet from the spare pack for days 22, 23, and 24... and on days 25 - 28 take the brown tablets from the regular pack.. Answered by Johana Wesselhoft 3 months ago.

no pill MAKES you gain weight; they just make you feel more hungry and as long as you don't eat unhealthily you won't gain weight. i am currently on cilest, which you take for 21 days and then have a week off in which you bleed, like a period, although i have gained weight, i dont blame the pill; mylifestyle has changed a lot over the 4 months i have been taking it and this is the reason for the extra 5lbs! he gyno will advise on the best pill to take, and some sorts of pill may not be given to you depending on health problems, family history etc. i advise whatever pill you do start taking, you use condoms aswel, as they protect against stds and also reduce the risk of pregnancy as contraceptive pills are only approx 99% effective Answered by Cecille Meinel 3 months ago.

None of them help you lose weight but some of them might contribute to gain. How you will react to them is different for each person so there isn't a "best" one -- your gyno will be able to advise you on the best one for you. Even then you might need to try more than one to find the right one. I am on Ortho TriCyclen Lo and before that I was on Ortho TriCyclen. I had no problems with either one of them. My advice is to be sure that you can remember to take a pill every day and take it at the same time. If you think that might be a problem then consider something else. when i was 16 i was on birth control pill and i hated it i had to remember what day and what time i took the pill i was forgetting so i stop taking the pill. at the end of 17 i got pregnant so after i had my daughter i got on depoit is a needle that you get once every 3 months the doctor will make your appointment to come back when it's time to. with the depo you gain weight and some people lose a little bit of hair you also spot when it is time for a new shot. there is no birth control that make u lose weight. Hello, I am on Yasmin pills. They do not make me gain weight, I have actually lost 4 pounds. They have cleared my acne up 100%! However, lately after being on them for four months my skin feels itchy. I wonder if this has to do with Yasmin so I left a message on the phone with my doctor. I'll update this when I get an answer. UPDATE: My doctor said that if I have been on Yasmin for 4 months and am just barely starting to get itchy skin that it is not caused by the Yasmin! Hooray because I really like Yasmin so far. Besides, I only get itchy on my upper torso (chest, back), not anywhere else and if I was allergic to Yasmin I would itch everywhere. My doctor said to check my detergents/ fabric softener. I have been using a new detergent lately so that may very well be the culprit. Answered by Dennise Croshaw 3 months ago.

I've been on a few different kinds, but i'm 26. They would probably react differently with me than you. I tried Seasonale for a year after I had my son. It was nice to only have 4 cycle's year, but they talk about breakthrough bleeding (bleeding less, more or the same between cycles), it was bad for the first few months and didn't help me losing any weight at all. I've also been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, or Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. I liked the Lo. It didn't make me gain weight and it helped with cramps and everything else. My friend also had the shot for about 2-1/2 years. She really liked it and didn't gain any weight off of it. You get that once every 3 months. Hope this helps!! I would go with the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and have recently had it removed to try for baby number 2. The IUD was painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week check up after my daughter was born. It is safe to use if you are nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not have to worry about pills or anything else. The only think I didn't know when I got the Mirena is that is can take awhile for your menstral cycles to return to normal after having the IUD removed. I had mine removed in December 2008, and in the past couple months my cycles have finally returned to normal, other than that, I HIGHLY recommend the IUD! Answered by Leandro Rheaume 3 months ago.

I take Yasmin and have been taking it since I was 22 years old...there aren't any that really make you "loose weight" per say (that what my doctor said) but they said that Yasmin helps best with not gaining weight....she did say to no give into the cravings but I have gotten increasingly hungry from it....other than that, thats the only experiance I have had with it. Answered by Thomasina Dewan 3 months ago.

umm....i was on ortho trycyclen? And i gained weight..........and it made me emotional. But then i stopped taking the pill and two months later i'm pregnant.......so it helps. But different birthcontrol effects people differently...... so i don't really know what the best for you is but ur gyno should know and just talk to her about it. She could help you better than i could..... Answered by Laverne Relles 3 months ago.

i have been on a few different ones and everyone's body reacts different to BC differently. the last one i was on was Yasmin and those were the best for me i lost weight, and regulated my period better than the other ones i was on. but the best thing to do is speak with the dr and see what they think is the best for u.
