What is hydroxyzine hcl?
it is a medication
Asked by Rupert Biby 1 month ago.
Hydroxyzine is used for the short-term treatment of nervousness and tension that may occur with certain mental/mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, dementia). It is also used to treat itching from allergies and other causes (e.g., reactions to certain drugs). It may also be used to help you feel calmer before/after surgery, or to help certain narcotic pain relievers (e.g., meperidine) work better. Hydroxyzine belongs to a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Its other effects (e.g., calming, pain relief) may work by affecting other natural substances (e.g., acetylcholine, serotonin) or by acting directly on certain parts of the brain. OTHER USES: This drug may also be used to prevent/treat motion sickness, nausea, and vomiting related to certain conditions (e.g., traveling, after surgery). Answered by Isidra Subera 1 month ago.
Tapering benzos with hydroxyzine?
the doctors said to replace some of my ativan doses with this..has anyone done this?-thanks
Asked by Clyde Hortin 1 month ago.
hydroxyzine can be used in people with anxiety to sedate them but it is really for allergic reactions. You could taper off by replacing a dose of ativan with hydroxyzine. Just remember though never quit taking ativan abruptly as you can have seizures and go into a coma. But to be honest with you I would ask for cyboxin. It is used it people addicted to benzos and opiods but relieving the side effects as withdrawing is severe in these drugs Answered by Lynette Schock 1 month ago.

Hydroxyzine (Vistaril/Atarax), does help with nausea. I used it for my anxiety, nausea, and allergies. It worked, though I was really sedated after taking one pill, so I suggest that you do NOT drive after taking it. It's also best if you completely sleep it off before doing anything because after sleeping for 8 hours you will have that drunk feeling that lasts for another day. Be well aware of the side effects. Though it may help with nausea, it might cause some side effects like dizziness, involuntary movements (this isn't reported in most health journals), headaches..and a couple of other things...so don't be alarmed if you start having some weird side effects afterwards...after the medicine has worn off. I could tell you a ton of things on what happened when I took it, but...I am not going to get into that. XD I provided you with a reliable source in case you wanted to see something in black and white.. As for motion sickness...I have had friends with this problem. . .but they all had different ways of alleviating the symptoms, so I suggest that you play around with it a little. One person made sure to not look out of the windows of the moving vehicle. Another listened to their mp3 player to take their mind off of the motion sickness. Finally another person made sure to have a lot of air blown on them (like have the windows down) just to keep them from hurling. So try different things. See if distracting your mind helps...if not that then possibly look into homeopathic remedies that could help. The second link should help you come up with ways to tame your motion sickness. How much hydroxyzine can I give my pomeranian?
I know this information...thx anyway, but my question is STILL how much can I give my 9lb pomeranian. Hydroxyzine is REGURALY prescribed to animals. Answers only to question please!
Asked by Lilliam Dockett 1 month ago.
hydroxyzine is a prescription drug so it should say on the label how much to give to your dog, if it is not prescribed to your dog then call your vet. Animals with glaucoma, lung disease, heart disease, high blood pressure and prostate enlargement should not take hydroxyzine. The most common adverse effects of hydroxyzine are sedation, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea and lack of appetite. It is for H1 receptors, H1 receptors affect small blood vessels and smooth muscles. When histamine attaches to the H1 receptors, the small blood vessels dilate and fluid begins to leak out. This results in tissue swelling and itchiness. In addition, the smooth muscles lining the small airways constrict, causing tightness and some breathing difficulty. Answered by Aron Hustace 1 month ago.
Any opinion on Hydroxyzine hcl use for hear of flying?
im going to paris in 48 hours and im nervous about flying. any opinions about this drug
Asked by Bethany Clauss 1 month ago.
Hydroxyzine is a terrible drug for that use. It is more/less benadryl. Both are antihistamines but Hydroxyzine has some anti-anxiety effects (mostly because it makes you tired). I don't know you or your situation but a drug like Xanax is typically used. But some doctors do not want to prescribe drugs with a potential for abuse. Especially if you have never taken it, you are more likely to feel very groggy (but you might not actually sleep) and many people report a 'hangover' from the drug if they sleep. It is typically prescribed for dermatological problems and for anxiety/insomnia in people with a history of substance abuse. Answered by Collen Sossong 1 month ago.
My brother crawled at 4 months. He was a big baby, and it is entirely possible. I know of other babies who didn't crawl 'til they were 8 months, and some that never crawled at all; they just got up and walked, one day... It really varies, but one can't judge what other babies are or are not capable of, based on what their own baby can or can't do. ;) To answer the question: my mom-in-law insists that my husband was potty trained at 4 months... As in, fully trained! Well, he wasn't; even my husbands' father admits that she exaggerates pretty much everything, and we have pics of when he was *really* training (much to hubbys' embarrassment), which was around 2. How many 25mg hydroxyzine pills will get me high?
I'm 5'11" and 160 lbs. How many of these tablets will make me in the mood or feel high?
Asked by Brook Forbus 1 month ago.
Hydroxyzine is NOT a recreational drug, it does NOT improve mood or cause euphoria, nor is it a controlled substance. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Although hydroxyzine is prescribed for conditions like anxiety and insomnia it is completely different from drugs like Xanax (alprazolam), Valium (diazepam), Ambien (zolpidem), phenobarbital, and other anxiolytics and sedative/hypnotics. So no amount will make you "high" instead a large amount often makes people sleep and have many unpleasant side effects. Answered by Kayleigh Yenz 1 month ago.

Can you overdose on hydroxyzine?
i have reason to believe a friend of mine ingested 9 25mg capsules.
Asked by Jeannie Chesbro 1 month ago.
225mg of hydroxyzine could be considered an "over" dose, but it is only slightly over the psychiatric dosage, which is 150mg. Either way, that amount shouldn't cause major problems unless it has been mixed with alcohol, opioid painkillers, or other sedatives - especially benzodiazepines. I take between 100 - 150mg of hydroxyzine every day for general anxiety, and it doesn't even make me drowsy. Of course, everyone is different, but hydroxyzine by itself is perhaps the safest anxiolytic on the market. If, however, your friend falls asleep and becomes unresponsive if you try to wake him or her up, call an ambulance. Answered by Cindy Devos 1 month ago.

I took 4,500 mg (90 pills) and I was supposed to die. I ended up calling 911 because my delusions were so bad and I realized I didn't want to go through with it. The side effects were terrible and I couldn't eat or drink for a few days. Answered by Natashia Olsen 1 month ago.

I take it sometimes. It's prescribed for mild anxiety but mine is severe so it doesn't really help. Im just not allowed to have Xanax anymore. Since it doesn't work I open up the capsules to get the powder out since its modeled like an antibiotic. At first I would snort it to try getting it into the bloodstream faster but I felt that was dangerous and I couldn't really get it to work anyway. Never done coke so not a good snorter. Now I just mix the powder into water which makes it look like lemonade. Is this a good idea? Don't say no just because that's not it's intended use. Real answers please. Answered by Venus Komosinski 1 month ago.
Snorting hydroxyzine won't make it work any faster. Very little will absorb into your sinuses, the rest of the it works its way to the back of your throat and gets swallowed. Opening the capsules won't make any difference because the capsule dissolves in a minute or two anyhow. You really can't make it work faster than by just swallowing it. If swallowing it isn't working for you, nothing else will either. Answered by Valerie Ninneman 1 month ago.
Hi there Robert, only one or two aspects. This can be a reliable blend, but don't forget that the Citalopram is going to take a even as to work correctly. It may well sometimes be up to three weeks before you detect huge improvment, however you may also detect some after a number of days. Hydroxyzine is a reliable, sedative anti-histamine, but some people believe very heavy and doped by it. If this occurs, take it at night time handiest, and curb the dose for a even as. The Citalopram is the more important medication in getting you higher. Just right success. Answered by Veronika Mcevoy 1 month ago.
What does hydroxyzine pam do is it for anxiety like zanax? they also gave me seroquel 400 mg and paroxetine?
will any of this stuff help with my annxiety like the alprazolam
Asked by Karon Fallin 1 month ago.
Hydroxyzine aka vistaril is an antihistamine drug. It's used for anxiety as well because it has sedative effects. From personal experience Hydroxyzine works well for anxiety. I took it at night before I went to bed. Seroquel is used for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. I have a friend that takes this for bipolar and it works wonders! Paroxetine aka Paxil is primarily used to treat the symptoms of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social phobia/social anxiety disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). hydroxyzine pam anxiety zanax gave seroquel 400 mg paroxetine Answered by Leda Donlin 1 month ago.
Before taking seroquel 400mg be sure to READ all the side-effects and possible damage to your bone marrow. I have a close friend with Parkinson's disease and they check his liver and bone marrow when he takes zanax and seroquel. Low doses of Xanax will help with anxiety. Do not combine these drugs without doctors advice as they may become toxic in your system.Sleepy Time herbal tea will help low grade anxiety as well as several foods which may help monitor your nervous system. Balancing your system will definitely help your body calm down as it deals with different high stress situations. I will search today for the most optimal site to help you with your food choices if you are interested. You may also contact your local pharmacist for advice on which may be the best choice for anxiety control. The choice to take western medicine for control may be the only choice however the prescriptions only MASK the real reason for the anxiety. Asking for the alternative choices may solve your symptoms faster. Have a great day and try to get a minimum of eight hours sleep.:) Answered by Becki Vongunten 1 month ago.

I think you should get her to the vet quickly. I just read an article that said giving a cat 1 baby aspirin is equal to a human taking 30 aspirin! If her body handles the zanax in a similiar way, I would think that you've given her an overdose. Answered by Joaquin Sevier 1 month ago.
Hydroxyzine is for anxiety Seroquel is used for: Treating schizophrenia. It is also used to treat acute manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder (manic-depression). Paroxetine is used for: Treating depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized and social anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and panic disorders with or without the fear of being in open or public places Answered by Tasha Howery 1 month ago.
