What is the difference in Hycodan and Tussionex?
I know they both have hydrocodone in them, but which one is better? does one have more hydrocodone than the other?
Asked by Foster Koshi 6 months ago.
Hycodan has an ingredient that dries you out realy bad if taken at recreational doses, tussinex has an antihistamine that stops the itching and the hydrocodone is extended release, 12 hours. Tussinex is WAY better. Answered by Sang Duldulao 6 months ago.
Does hycodan syrup contain acetaminophen?
Will you get liver problems if you take more than 20ml of it at once? I'm not doing it but I'm doing a project on opiates and can't find this answer.
Asked by Ozell Neldon 6 months ago.
1. No acetaminophen: Hycodan contains hydrocodone and homatropine (5mg and 1.5mg per 5mL, respectively). 2. Probably not. Taking 20mL would not likely cause liver injury, but that would be a stout dose of the two active ingredients. Side effects would include respiratory depression (dangerous) as well as blurred vision, dry mouth, and nausea/vomiting. Arrhythmia would be a very dangerous and less likely side effect, though given that dose I would be hesitant to rule it out. Hope this helps. Answered by Candelaria Graetz 6 months ago.

No, there is not acetaminophen.. Each HYCODAN (hydrocodone bitartrate and homatropine methylbromide) tablet or teaspoonful (5 mL) contains: Hydrocodone Bitartrate, USP.....................5 mg Homatropine Methylbromide, USP..................1.5 mg Answered by Exie Squillace 6 months ago.

Have these cough pills that are hycodan "substituded for hydrocodone/homatropine. Hydrocodone is in loratabs i know. So do these cough pills contain any recreational value?
Asked by Leoma Chovanec 6 months ago.
hydrocodone and homatropine (HYCODAN) This drug is a Do Not Use drug because it is an irrational combination of ingredients and one ingredient causes memory impairment, confusion, hallucinations, and retention of urine, without clear evidence that it is effective. What would Hycodan cough surup show up on a blood drug test as?
I have a perscription for Hycodan, but have also been taking lortabs that are not perscribed to me.. would they be able to tell a difference of the two? Would they both show up as the same opiate? Am i safe as long as i have a script for one or the other?
Asked by Vita Poyneer 6 months ago.
i'm sorry, but i need to correct the previous post. hycodan and lortab have hydrocodone in them. that is what will show up on the test. hydrocodone is an OPIATE derivative not a morphine/heroin derivative. morphine and heroin can be MADE from OPIATES, or opium drugs...yes, that poppy flower. they're synthetic, which means there is no real opium in them. so, when you take you're test, it will pop under either hydrocodone or opiates. depends on the test. some are very very precise and can pinpoint the drug, others just the classification. Answered by Rosie Kupres 6 months ago.
Lortab is a Heroin based drug. Hycodan is a morphine based drug. They will both show up on the drug test. As long as you have a prescription, you take the medication in the bottle labeled FOR YOU in to the testing facility and make them aware of it. Make sure to take only the bottle with your name on it. Don't take along any other drugs (unless over the counter). If you are caught in with a controlled substance that is not prescribed for you, you can face possession charges and possible jail time. In some states if you are caught distributing Lortab you face an automatic 25 year jail term due to it being a heroin based drug. Answered by Booker Scrape 6 months ago.
As they are both opiate narcotics, they should both show up as the same thing. Answered by Jo Freire 6 months ago.

No homatropine in tussionex; also, tussionex contains an antihistamine (anti-allergy ingredient), while hycodan doesn't. Other than that they are both hydrocodone-based cough medicines Answered by Sara Arab 6 months ago.
