Hi, Ive had cold sores since as long as i can remember, it seems to be agrivated by heat, cold and stress. I live in Arizona and the weather just got colder and I got a Massive cold sore overnight right on my lip normally i feel it comming and can take some medications to prevent a big cold sore and to speed up healing time. I have been taking Olive Leaf tablets for a couple months and ran out about a month ago but started taking them again yesterday, aberva always spreads my cold sores and makes it worse I was wondering what has helped you that you find best and how good were the results? Thank You : ) and no need for nasty comments 60 percent of america gets cold sores Answered by Shana Beteta 1 year ago.

i like the tablets called Herplex. you can purchase them over the counter and they prevent me from getting them or make them go away of I do get one. good luck, I know how bad they are Answered by Chong Febus 1 year ago.

Get plenty of rest and sleep then it will disappear the next day or two. I always get them when Im extremely tired and stressed out. Resting is the best answer to any kind of sickness. GL Answered by Valentine Dougall 1 year ago.

the only way to really combat a virus is by building up your own immune system. take some extra vitamin c pills, and a daily multivitamin would be good too. eating healthy always a plus, but i can't preach cuz i like to eat junk food all the time. the vits should help though! good luck Answered by Deedee Wuori 1 year ago.

Im the same way as you are. i get em once a year when it starts getting cold. Go to your doctor and get a prescription for valtrex. Next time as soon as you feel it coming on, take a few of those each day for about 3 days. You will be fine, it probably wont come out and if it barely comes out, it will be gone in a day. stuff is magic, abreva and all that other stuff is nonsense. Answered by Tawana Lanzillo 1 year ago.

Take L-Lysine, you can buy it at a vitamin store or Healthfood store, even some grocery stores may have it. The best prescription RX for cold sores is Zovorax, it heals them very quickly. Answered by Sherise Collora 1 year ago.
