Its kinda ruined my self esteem especially around girls. well anyways today my friend addmitted to me that he did like oral steroids for a month, and he gained alot of muscle, lost a lot of fat, and felt no side effects of them. He said as long as you dont act stupid or do stupid things, they're not going to harm me. He is getting some in acouple weeks and he asked if i wanted some, and i said yes at the time but im really reconsidering what i had said to him earlier. I really dont care about gaining muscle because im not that into lifting like him, but i really want to loose this chub and get a little ripped. i dont want to get super huge just get nice and toned and maybe help my self esteem. Any help or personal experiences? thanks so much! Answered by Madalene Hoisington 1 year ago.

Some oral steroids are harder on the liver. For example Halotestin, an oral steroid, is liver toxic and would be taken for no more than about 8 weeks. Moderate amounts of Testosterone Enanthate or Cypionate like about 250-500mg a week which are injectable is safe. Testosterone is something you can take all the time. You said you don't care about building muscle but want to be ripped and toned. To be ripped and toned, you have to have muscle, which means you have to build it. You would build muscle through weight lifting and eating properly. All steroids will help decrease body fat, help increase strength and muscle, and increase energy. More androgenic steroids like Winstrol and Finaplix are more for hardening/cutting. Testosterone is the best mass builder. Your friend is probably talking about something like Anavar, which you would want to take about 50-100mg a day. It's a pretty week steroid, but if you're working out and stick to higher doses, you should notice a little reduction in body fat and increase in muscle. I've never had any problems with any kind of steroid in 20 years. Liver enzymes have increased with things like Finaplix, but returned back to normal after the cycle. Roid rage is a myth. Someone with a kind and calm nature doesn't suddenly become enraged when using supplements. It doesn't work like that. Answered by Lillie Schefers 1 year ago.

Your friend is an idiot. What PCT is he running and also which kind of oral steroids is he taking? Assuming he's taking genuine oral steroids which work, when his body detects synthetic hormones being put into his body it will shut down his natural testosterone production, without PCT it's not going to start back up - having low testosterone for life is not something he'll want (Google the symptoms). Also oral steroids are harsh on the liver. All steroids can shut his hormonal system down, make him infertile, cause hair loss, loss of libido and can cause erectile dysfunction. Low testosterone is also something he does not want if he is into lifting as it will prevent him from building any muscle. Your friend could have already messed himself up from his 1st cycle, don't do it to yourself. Wait until at least 21 or later. Answered by Tyra Starkson 1 year ago.

I am a Phd in Biology and former Nevada State Bench Press Champion and 4th Place in the AAU Mr. America. Before I quit these sports, I had taken every steroid in the world. Each one has its own Androgen and Anabolic Index relative to testosterone. Some like Halotestin are sex stimulants and others like Nilevar make guys impotent. The important thing is that unless you take an overdose, the effects are reversible. If you take a steroid high in androgens, your testicles shrink temporarily because your body detects the androgens and figures it hass enough testosterone so it doesn't have to produce any for a while. However, once you stop, you body notices that you are runnning on low and gradually rebuilds. It can take a month or six weeks. You would have to stay on a high level of artificial androgen for months to turn your normal flow off so there might be a problem. in that case, a doctor would use a drug like Human Chorionic Gonadotropin or Clomid to start your motor up again. I had my ups and downs through 12 years of national competitions, and I saw my endocrinologist MD every 6-8 weeks, and everything returned to normal when I stopped. .I stopped in part because wqith the passage of the Anabolic Steroid Control Act, I felt I could no longer get the "safer steroids," and the designer ones they have today are virtually unstudied. Optimum Nutrition's Platinum Hydro Builder does not contain any steroids, but it does contain creatine. According to Men's Health, creatine produces stomach upsets in 5-7% of users. It is approved by the International Olympic Committee. In the course of my carrer as competitor, judge, and trainer, I have seen a few bodybuilders get stomach problems from Anavar or Oxandrin, the steroid that harnesses creatine phosphate to build ATP. So there may be a very tenuous connection there, but only in terms of digestion. As we all know, there were naturally occuring steroids such as Mark MCGuire used on the shelves of health food stores even 15 years ago, but they have all been removed.. There are also rip off companies who make products with the same names and they can put whatever they want in until they get caught. What gov't agency provides free medication assistance to needy?
My mother is 92 and only brings in $900 per month total income. She needs the drug fluoxymesterone that will cost $470 per month. She has breast cancer. the company that makes the drug doesn't provide it free. What can I do? Asked by Dulce Nauarro 1 year ago.

Medicare..is the only outlet Im gonna sound like a harsh prick, and most drs will tell you the same.I apologize ahead of time, I only wish to help you see the logic of others in the medical feild. You mother is 92 years old, unless the cancer will kill her for sure, ..I do not know how severe it is, but when you are 92 you need to weigh your options, are you really gonna die from the cancer...probably not..she will probably pass from natural causes. Any good dr. or oncologist will tell you this before they give you the option of treatment. I know because this was the case with my grandpa and his prostate cancer..He was 91 years old and was freaking out that he was gonna die from it, the doctor said look you are 91...you are gonna die from something else long before you will die from cancer...He did too about 2 years later he collapse from aortic aneurism and died instantly. Now if she is already going to for sure pass from it then of course by all means do everything you can to accomodate her.. Again you did not state if she had it, or if she was dying from it, becuase the too are very differant. now Halotestin is the generic name for fluoxymesterone. It is a hormone agent /chemo agent that is used for palliative treatment. Palliative treatment means to ease the suffering.. It is not a cure, it does not cure cancer, you may or may not know this, i am just clarifying for you.. This drug they are trying to prescribe you is to ease her suffering as she passes. There are other ways of doing this such as pain pills etc etc. However the pain from cancer can easily out weight the pain medication. Again I dont know were she is at with it. It is a very expensive drug, and if you do not have insurance unfountaly we live in a country that doesn't take good care of its people who are sick or dying. If you feel you need to have this drug, look at pharmacies in canada; where medical treatment is free if you are a citizen, YES FREE or in mexico where the drugs are cheaper. Im sorry for your situation, no one wants to lose their mother. Its tough and I did not mean to offend you...i want to tell you the truth, that most are probably to afraid to tell you..and so that you are not assuming they are tryng to tell you their is a cure, that is right out of your reach.(financially) Again the goal is not to put her through any treatment of anything that is gonna cause more pain the pleasure for the time she has left. Answered by Cindy Manko 1 year ago.

If she's 92, then she's on medicare also. She should have a prescription drug plan. There may also be the same kind of drug, cheaper. Answered by Jonah Acuna 1 year ago.

Why do steroids affect the liver?
What is the chemical or what process happens during the oral ingestion of anabolic steroids that is harming to the liver? (NOTE: for scientific purposes, :D) Also, what are the harming effects of steroids and why do they affect the body in such a way? Asked by Charleen Neubecker 1 year ago.

Liver damage is probably the most sensationalized of all side effects possible from steroid use. The media often focuses on this particular problem as if it occurs with every steroid, and in every person who takes them. Nothing could be further than the truth. Most anabolic steroids which are ingested orally pass through the liver, which functions as the body´s filtration system. When something goes through the liver, it is broken down by various enzymes, and passed along into the bloodstream. Most research on orally administered anabolic steroids focus on the fact that liver enzymes are elevated following ingestion. But does this necessarily mean that the liver is being damaged, does it? Of course not. Commonly, studies that focus on steroid toxicity often use absurd doses, or incorrectly focus on liver activity instead of damage. The liver functions as the filter for the human body.. it´s going to be activated whenever something (not just a steroid) passes through it. Does that show that steroids damage the liver? Let´s see what the scientists say.. There was an eight-week study done in 1999, which looked at the effects of an 8-week cycle of Oral steroids. The steroids examined were Halotestin (Fluoxymesterone), Dianabol (methylandrostanolone), or Winstrol (Stanozolol) on rats at the dose of 2mg/kg-body weight, administered five times a week for 8 weeks. That s almost 200mgs/day of any of those steroids, for a 200lb user. That is, I´ll speculate, much more than the average person would use on a cycle. In fact, I have never, in my years of researching steroids and speaking with athletes, heard of anybody using 200mgs/day of Halotestin, Winstrol, or Dianabol. Ever. And, at the end of that study, In vivo, each rat still had liver enzyme levels that were within normal range! In another study, 16 bodybuilders using steroids were compared to 12 bodybuilders who were not. Then the bodybuilders who had used steroids stopped taking them for three months, at which points, the researchers found that liver enzymes had returned to the same levels as the non users. After only 3 months! Answered by Bell Woodworth 1 year ago.

it's only with SOME oral steroids... dianabol, winstrol, anavar, etc... injectables are much safer. Answered by James Bressler 1 year ago.

Why do steroids affect the liver?
What is the chemical or what process happens during the oral ingestion of anabolic steroids that is harming to the liver? (NOTE: for scientific purposes, :D) Also, what are the harming effects of steroids and why do they affect the body in such a way? Asked by Maryrose Lyalls 1 year ago.

Answered by Cary Sauce 1 year ago.

it's only with SOME oral steroids... dianabol, winstrol, anavar, etc... injectables are much safer. Answered by Sha Fetherolf 1 year ago.

I'm 15, 6'0 and 205 lbs. I'm built husky, not fat because my football coach says hes glad im this size because im not fat. But i still hate having that husky physique, i always have. Answered by Burton Odgen 1 year ago.

Answered by Teri Scheno 1 year ago.

Answered by Alona Mudge 1 year ago.

One user of Platinum complained of kidney pains on Steroidology.com. It may be true, but 1 case on a less than totally scientific websites doesn't prove much.. Answered by Odis Barras 1 year ago.

it's only with SOME oral steroids... dianabol, winstrol, anavar, etc... injectables are much safer. Answered by Katelin Springle 1 year ago.
