Asked by Cherrie Michelini 1 year ago.

DTPA is an abbreviation of the word Diethylenetriaminepentaacetate!! Answered by Darrick Nunley 1 year ago.

Diethylene triamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) is an elongated version of EDTA. It has been used to decontaminate humans who are contaminated with plutonium, americium and other actinides as the compound can chelate these heavy metal ions, render them unabsorbed through the digestive track and also speeds up the release of these metals in urine. It is normally used as the calcium or zinc salt. It should not be taken by people with kidney disease or bone marrow depression, nor by children younger than 18 years old. If the lungs are contaminated by the inhalation of these radioactive materials, a DTPA spray or mist is used. Otherwise it can also be injected intravenously. Answered by Louetta Denno 1 year ago.

Diethylenetriaminepentaacetate (DTPA) is a calcium or zinc salt that has been used since the 1960s to treat people who have been internally contaminated with certain radioactive materials, such as americium, plutonium, californium, curium, and berkelium. Answered by Meta Tobiasson 1 year ago.

How many MRI contrasted scans have you had? gadolinium metal/DTPA is injected for the magnets/radioactive, coating, see gadolinium side effects, How many CT contrasted scans have you had? Technetium , the nuclear waste is injected for this. These types of sx can occur months after last scans, know that radiation is cumulative, See a dermatologist, if you've had any contrasted MRI's, get a skin biopsy if they haven't persued you, yet, see a kidney doctor, certain moisterizers can cause skin issues due to chemicals/ synthetic fragrances, water intake won't matter, but will help if kidney problems which the above contrasts do affect dramatically. They mimic diseases as kidney and skin conditions. Also, neurological sx/diseases. Stop the 2x a day showers, use jar cream , it' s heavier, try Eurcerin, they will lie to you if skin biopsy is + for gadolinium, unless you find an honest MD. search it, www.mayomedicallaboratories.com, under tests, G, for gadolinium. I"m not saying you have this, but it's way more common than they want the public to know. I'm telling , too. I have + skin and blood levels of gadolinium and similar hair, tooth, skin problems began last summer, still have now, last MRI was Dec 2010. Should have known better, but I was lied to by those idiot MDs at uCH. Answered by Rana Siddon 1 year ago.

This can be due to the winter and the cold air hitting you. You should ask a doctor about your break outs and if the dry skin is linked to that Answered by Hien Mustoe 1 year ago.

my school is doing a vaccination for our grade in a couple days and we have to hand in the form tomorrow, but i wasn't born in north america i came from china and on my medical record that canada has of me it says i took the Tdap shot (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) 4 times when i was in china as a baby. it said i took it every month for 4 months from march-june. and also once when i came here in 2003 when i got it again. and now about 8 years later they are giving it to me again. my question is do i need it again right now or do i just not do it again and i'm also wondering since i got it 4 times in 4 months is that gonna effect my health now? Answered by Lavada Fitzgibbons 1 year ago.

You need to look at your medical form carefully again because the Tdap/dTap (not DTP, DTaP, DTPa, or TDaP) was licensed in the US in 2005 for people ages 10/11 - 64. You may have had one of the vaccinations I mentioned in the parentheses above or a Td booster? I believe the standard of care is 5 years in between a Tdap or Td booster. And 10 years between two Td boosters. You need to meet with your physician, but I think you probably should get the Tdap. The CDC has this on their website: "ACIP recommends that pertussis vaccination, when indicated, should not be delayed and that Tdap should be administered regardless of interval since the last tetanus or diphtheria toxoid-containing vaccine. ACIP concluded that while longer intervals between Td and Tdap vaccination could decrease the occurrence of local reactions, the benefits of protection against pertussis outweigh the potential risk for adverse events." As to the other question - 4 times in 4 months seems like a lot, but it may have been a different series of shots with adjusted dosages designed to be administered like that. I really don't know anything about pediatric vaccinations in China, sorry. But since tetanus/diptheria/pertussis vaccines in general need to be re-administered anyway (therefore their effects are not long lasting), and I'm assuming you are healthy right now, I don't think you need to worry about it.
