That depends on how much (what volume) of the 15% dextrose you want. For example, if you desire to make 100 mls of 15% dextrose then... (x ml)(25%0 = (100 ml)(15%) and x = 60 mls of 15% dextrose + 40 mls sterile water. Any small amount of carbs with the protein is fine. Protein mixes usually contain a small amount of carbs which is plenty. You should drink your post workout shake within 15 minutes and consume a normal meal containing protein and carbs within 2 hours. Answered by Nisha Paul 2 years ago.

after training with a protein supplement or amino acids pills, etc. for an optimum anabolic effect post workout the ratio of protein to carbs should be from 1:3 to 1:4. the body only needs a small amount of protein after training to start the recovery process so 15-20 grams is fine for most people. so with 20 grams of protein you would want to take 60 grams of dextrose. you can also split the carbs post workout using 50% dextrose and 50% maltodextrin. make sure to consume another meal of whole foods about 1-1.5 hours after consumption of the post workout shake... If you are asked to give 500 ml over 4 hours, then you have to give 500 / 4 ml in 1 hour. In 1 minute you are going to give 1/60 of the amount you want to give in an hour, so divide the above by 60, i.e. (500 / 4) / 60 ml in 1 minute. There are 10 drops in 1 ml , so you multiply the above ml/min sum to give the rate in drops per minute. Simple, really, but I'll give you a clue as to the answer: it is somewhere between 10 and 40 drops/min. Good luck with your calculations. Answered by Archie Racanelli 2 years ago.
