Doctor needs a liter of 15% dextrose. You have 25% Dextrose and sterile water. How much fluid will you need?
Asked by Fatima Molzahn 1 year ago.
That depends on how much (what volume) of the 15% dextrose you want. For example, if you desire to make 100 mls of 15% dextrose then... (x ml)(25%0 = (100 ml)(15%) and x = 60 mls of 15% dextrose + 40 mls sterile water. You can use this equation for any volume, by substituting that volume for the 100 mls and solving for x Answered by Nakita Ege 1 year ago.
Is it a good idea to combine Dextrose and Protein after working out?
I have heard that the use of dextrose combined with whey protein after weight training is great to replenish the glycogen for the muscles and the broken down protein. How much should I be having?
Asked by Fairy Perego 1 year ago.
30 grams whey protein, 60 grams dextrose Answered by Austin Romjue 1 year ago.
Any small amount of carbs with the protein is fine. Protein mixes usually contain a small amount of carbs which is plenty. You should drink your post workout shake within 15 minutes and consume a normal meal containing protein and carbs within 2 hours. Answered by Nisha Paul 1 year ago.
When should i take dextrose?
i am trying to gain weight and i do weights!!
Asked by Nadia Unavailable 1 year ago.
after training with a protein supplement or amino acids pills, etc. for an optimum anabolic effect post workout the ratio of protein to carbs should be from 1:3 to 1:4. the body only needs a small amount of protein after training to start the recovery process so 15-20 grams is fine for most people. so with 20 grams of protein you would want to take 60 grams of dextrose. you can also split the carbs post workout using 50% dextrose and 50% maltodextrin. make sure to consume another meal of whole foods about 1-1.5 hours after consumption of the post workout shake... How many grams of dextrose sugar is recommended for your post-workout shake? Most sites recommend 60-80 grams. That is madness! One and a quarter teaspoons is equal to 4 grams. This means that I must put in a least 20 teaspoons of dextrose sugar into my shake. I put in about 8 spoons and it was so ridiculously sweet from the sugar that I felt my teeth rot and my stomach was upset. Does anyone have any experience with this? The order reads: "Over the next 4 hours, infuse 500 ml of 5% Dextrose in Normal Saline.?
Add 20 MEq of KCI to solution." You know that the IV tubing is set is calibrated to deliver 10 gtt/ml. In drops per minute, what is the rate of flow?
Asked by Hung Jaecks 1 year ago.
If you are asked to give 500 ml over 4 hours, then you have to give 500 / 4 ml in 1 hour. In 1 minute you are going to give 1/60 of the amount you want to give in an hour, so divide the above by 60, i.e. (500 / 4) / 60 ml in 1 minute. There are 10 drops in 1 ml , so you multiply the above ml/min sum to give the rate in drops per minute. Simple, really, but I'll give you a clue as to the answer: it is somewhere between 10 and 40 drops/min. Good luck with your calculations. Answered by Archie Racanelli 1 year ago.
