How long does daypro take to get out of your system?
Asked by Herbert Zarillo 1 year ago.
Daypro (oxaprozin), an NSAID, is metabolized by the liver into inactive metabolites that are subsequently eliminated in the feces and urine. Most of the formed metabolites are not active, but are eliminated fairly slowly. It is estimated that approximately 50% of Daypro is cleared from your body in 36-48 hours, which means that it will take nearly 7-10 days to completely eliminate this drug. However, the time that it takes to completely eliminate this drug depends on several factors: (1) Liver function (2) Kidney function (3) Nutritional status (4) Length of therapy with Daypro (chronic dosing vs. short-term dosing) (5) Dosage (low vs. high dosage) Remember that the duration of its therapeutic effect may only last 12-24 hours, despite the fact that oxaprozin and its inactive metabolites may still be circulating in your system. How does daypro compare to Vicdin ES?
Asked by Janet Hamme 1 year ago.
Vicodin ES is by far the better drug. It's got hydrocodone that's good for lots of things, including pain & coughing. What I read about daypro, it doesn't even compare to Vicodin ES, not even close to the same. Hope this helps U. Answered by Maurice Finland 1 year ago.
Has anyone ever taken Oxaprozin/Daypro? Did it make you stomach ache?
I been on this medication to help with TMJ pain for about a week. It has me feeling bloated and with a sore stomach. HAs anyone else taken this med and did you have any side effects as well?
Asked by Kam Walth 1 year ago.
I have taken it for back pain, no problem. But I have had problems like that with other meds, think you should call your doctor and have them switch you to something else. It isn't worth helping one problem by causing another! Good luck with the TMJ--I have it too and it sucks!!! I have woken up and not been able to move my jaw because I have clenched my teeth so tightly all night!!! I feel for you! Answered by Eugene Locorriere 1 year ago.
