Ciloxan ointment helps heal or makeScratched Cornea worse?
Hi I went to this eye doctor and negotiated a deal. He said that the first visit is $50 but if it doesn't heal on the second visit he will charge me more than $50. But he didn't prescribe me antibiotic Vicodin. He gave me Ciloxan ciprofloxacin HCL ophthalmic ointment. Does that make it worse? Asked by Deedra Medhus 1 year ago.

CILOXAN® (ciprofloxacin hydrochloride ophthalmic ointment) Ophthalmic Ointment is a synthetic, sterile, multiple dose, antimicrobial for topical use. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial. Serious side effects are not expected to occur during treatment with this medication. He prescribed the right medication. Vicodin is not an antibiotic Answered by Lorenzo Baster 1 year ago.

Does anybody know if Ciloxan (eye oitment) and Neomycin & Polymyxin B are cancerous? Please help:(?
I used these together intensivly now I am having breast problems....my eyes felt like they "hardned up" now my breast are harder, shriveled up and itch constantly could it be cancer from using this? I know some eye medications are know to cause cancer..are these one of them? please help :( Asked by Misti Follie 1 year ago.

I've never heard anything like that- you may have a "mycin" or other allergy where you wouldn't be able to take any medication in that family. And honestly, there's so much stuff out there that you don't know what they're putting in it- your makeup, body lotion, chapstick...I think we'll all have cancer eventually. See your MD if you're worried about your breasts, though. Answered by Jerrell Gallik 1 year ago.

White discoloration of the hair?
This drug works by blocking a certain protein (vascular endothelial growth factor-VEGF), so I think he used avastin to stop bleeding, because she suffered bleeding intraocular. This is not my case I just heard about it so I cannot ask the doctor. Thanks :) Asked by Lyn Polidori 1 year ago.

A diabetic patient 26 years old received avastin for glaucoma treatment (to lower the fluid pressure inside). She receives some eye drops, like trusopt, pred mild, ciloxan antibiotics, travatan, and xalacom. After receving the second avastin intraocular injection she start losing her scalp hair, and in the same time her eyebrows and eyelashes hair was changed into white. After her scalp hair started to get longer, it got to be white (it grew white instead of brown which was her hair color). What do you think the reason is (though i think it is avastin) and what is the best method to treat this and bring her hair color back to normal. Thanks Answered by Cindy Whitmeyer 1 year ago.

Let get the facts listed. Trusopt - contains Dorzolamide hydrochloride, Indicated for Ocular hypertension; glaucoma. Side effects conjunctivitis, keratitis, burning or stinging, eyelid inflammation or irritation, and blurred vision. Pred mild - contains Prednisolone acetate, indicated for inflammatory eye disorder. Side effects: It has more than 100 side effects in general! Ciloxan - indicated for bacterial infection. Side effects: gastrointestinal tract, CNS,skin Travatan - contains Travoprost. Indicated for glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Side effects: Darkening, thickening, and lengthening of eye lashes (Martindale) Xalacom - contains Latanoprost & timolol maleate Side effects: nausea, vomitting Avastin - contains Bevacizumab. Indicated for COLORECTAL CANCER. I wonder why doctor injected this drug. One of the side effects is hair loss.(1) Please check with your doctor why the patient is given Avastin (bevacizumab) Answered by Elnora Okerlund 1 year ago.

Answered by Herbert Hird 1 year ago.

A vet should not be giving you a diagnosis over the phone. This is a possibility of what it may be. The dog may have gotten something in it's eye that is causing this irritation. There could be several things. I would take my dog in for a checkup and let the vet correctly diagnose this problem. You may cause futher damage from not knowing what is exactly wrong with the eye. good luck hope everything turns out o.k. Answered by Gwenda Erbach 1 year ago.

Poor pup. Keep using warm moist compresses. Otherwise, I would leave it alone until a vet can have a look at it. My pup is having recurrent eye infections and we are headed back to the vet tomorrow, so I know how miserable it is. Just make sure she is eating well and getting plenty of water, and keep it up with the compresses as these will clear the goop and promote healing. Answered by Makeda Kerner 1 year ago.

Just go to the vet. It's your best bet because you can't really know unless a professional is able to see it and examine it properly. Answered by Lona Marcisak 1 year ago.

All the eye drops have side effects. I cannot imagine one patient would be given a cocktail of the above. One at a time maybe. None of the side effects of Avastin (like hairloss) are likely to occur from injections into the eye. Can fear or stress or any extraordinary emotion change the color of your hair? Yes, but not instantly. Your psychological state has a significant impact on the hormones that can effect the amount of melanin deposited in each strand of hair, but the effect of emotion takes a long time to see. The hair you see on your head emerged from its follicle a long time ago. So, graying or any other color change is a gradual process, occurring over the course of several weeks, months, or years. In other words, counselling for stress and if distressed by the hair colour, go to a good hairdresser1 Answered by Isaura Scarr 1 year ago.
