Answered by Shaun Diblasio 1 year ago.

Anti histamines are indicated for insomnia due to their natural tendency to cause drowsiness and are non habit forming. We used to use diphenhydramine until chlorpheniramine came along (more sedating) Further, chlorpheniramine maleate is also one of the most sedating antihistamines, and is an excellent choice. Be sure to use the prompt release version, not the sustained release. You don't want chlorpheniramine still being released into your bloodstream 8 hrs later when you are trying to wake up. For your questions 1 and 2: My advice is to give at least 2 mg (that is on the low side -- even 4 mg would be okay). And I also would not wait 2 hrs for a re-dose. If no results in 1 hr, I would re-dose then with another 2mg. This is a common strategy with a safe, non addictive drug. Remember use the prompt release, not sustained. In this case you want the drug in the system fast, not leach out slowly through the course of the night. Source: I am a pharmacist. Answered by Fredericka Somani 1 year ago.

It is not used for insomnia, but allergy relief. The dose is very small, even at double the dose. You don't really say if this is the 12 hr or 24 hr version, if it is short or long acting. If the patient is a child or adult. Since it is not ever used for insomnia, I would call that doctor and question this. Answered by Antonietta Jerowski 1 year ago.

Is it okay to be take chlor- trimeton(allery tablets) while taking fish oil capsules?
Should I take the allergy medicine right after taking the fish oil pill or before? is it safe? Asked by Jerrold Launey 1 year ago.

i would think so. allergy pills are my daily life i take them with everything twice a day Answered by Silva Contini 1 year ago.

Yes, it absolutely will...Omega 3's are great for your developing baby's brain. But beware, some over the counter fish oil capsules still contain mercury, and now they have started adding some vegetable oil to them, so the fish oil is not the best. The only way you will know is the price. The cheaper brands are not as good for you because they make them with not so good ingredients. The one I use is around $25.00 a bottle, now I am not a woman, but I notice that my skin is softer and I see alot of other side benefits. The woman that introduced me to the fish oil I use had a baby and her daughter is months ahead of most children that I know. She is so smart. Good luck! Answered by Catherin Crowley 1 year ago.

Answered by Henry Bodziony 1 year ago.

It is not used for insomnia, but allergy relief. The dose is very small, even at double the dose. You don't really say if this is the 12 hr or 24 hr version, if it is short or long acting. If the patient is a child or adult. Since it is not ever used for insomnia, I would call that doctor and question this. Answered by Danette Demange 1 year ago.

Is it okay to be take chlor- trimeton(allery tablets) while taking fish oil capsules?
Should I take the allergy medicine right after taking the fish oil pill or before? is it safe? Asked by Numbers Buys 1 year ago.

i would think so. allergy pills are my daily life i take them with everything twice a day Answered by Hildred Calamari 1 year ago.

Good luck! Answered by Colleen Gulisano 1 year ago.
