Has anyone taken Diclofenac Potassium 50mg ( Cataflam)?
I've been prescribed this medication for chronic pain (arthritis) How long does it take for the medication to become effective? What are the common side effects? Asked by Chung Abdelaziz 1 year ago.

Cataflam is a NSAID(the same drug class as ibuprofen) it should work fairly quickly. As for side effects you might expect a little bit of upset stomach. Taking the med. with food will lessen that. It could cause a little bit of drowsiness but it's not likely. Also do not take it with any of the OTC pain med such as advil or motrin or aleve. Answered by Rosalyn Trapper 1 year ago.

What is the functional classification of the drug cataflam?
Any idea? Asked by Lisbeth Meholick 1 year ago.

Hi, cataflam is a name for diclofenac sodium, which is used as a Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug or NSAID for short. They inhibit the enzyme cyclooxgenase which is an isoenzyme and has a chemical inside that acts as a messenger for pain synapse reactions. It is an anti-inflammatory and also an analgesic, and is commonly prescribed for migraines or sinus headaches. It is in the same group as paracetomol, ibuprofen and aspirin but is slightly stronger and with slightly differing effects. I hope this helps, will Answered by Toccara Forgrave 1 year ago.

Can I take Cataflam (Diclofenac potassium) with the Pill (Yasmin)?
Asked by Arlene Balch 1 year ago.

You should be able to yes as Cataflam is anti-inflammatory and wont affect the same areas. If you are asking whether Cataflam will have any negative effect on the Pill, just take a look at the paper inside the Cataflam box. Answered by Naida Perrien 1 year ago.

Can a person get a high off of Cataflam?
I dont know if my brother is really in pain or if you uses it to get a high. I want to see if it is even possable to get a high before i tell my mom, i dont want to tell on him if nothing is wrong. Asked by Kimberley Boltz 1 year ago.

No, this medication is in the same category as tylenol, so it wont make you high. However, taking too much of it can have some very serious consequences, especially bleeding in the stomach. If you feel your brother is taking this drug more than directed, you should inform him of the side effects, or if you dont feel comfortable with that, tell your mom. Good luck! Your brother is lucky to have a caring sibling like you. Answered by Lawana Spayd 1 year ago.

Cataflam Uses Answered by Rhonda Hotten 1 year ago.

Most likely no "high" is felt when taking Cataflam. It's like a stronger version of Aleve (Naproxyn Sodium/Naprosyn). Works as an anti-inflammatory drug. At higher doses, it can make you sleepy, so unless he's using it to help himself fall asleep, then I wouldn't doubt his pain. Answered by Lavern Benedek 1 year ago.

does cataflam cause RLS OR crampimg in the feet and legs? Answered by Annita Snarr 1 year ago.

How many cataflam 50MG would you need to take to kill you?
or make you go unconscious? i'm writing a story for my expository writing class and in my story Danielle O.D. s to kill herself but it doesn't work/ how many of cataflam 50 MG would she have to take to kill her self and how many would she have to take to render her unconscious but not dead? thank you Asked by Tobi Rudnicki 1 year ago.

if it is a story make false no like 10 and 20 tab Answered by Hilma Ekstrom 1 year ago.

She'd pretty well have to choke to death on the pills. You'll have to use some other type of medication, as NSAID's don't do that. They upset the stomach and can cause gastrointestinal bleeding, and they decrease renal blood flow, but they won't work in your story line. Answered by Justina Craddock 1 year ago.

I told my doctor I get very angry, depressed, and sad during my monthly. The medicine prescribed is for pain. How does this help my situation? The medicine is an anitflamatory mostly used for arthiritis. Please help. Asked by Billie Hudes 1 year ago.

Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory which will help with the cramps. On your period you produce prostaglandins, which cause the cramps. an anti-inflammatory helps reduce the production, which will in return reduce the severity of your cramps and can alleviate the negative feelings you are having. Answered by Creola Blackwall 1 year ago.

she gave you a med for cramps most likely. just rushing you out the door and making money as they always do, go for a second opinion somewhere else Answered by Lois Strehl 1 year ago.
