Is 60 mg a day of Axiron Testosterone a normal or high dosage?
I want to know is 60 mg of Testosterone gel high in comparison to weekly injections, and if this is a good product. (I was prescribed by a Dr, not a rec drug)
Asked by Lorina Wengren 3 months ago.
There's no direct comparison to injections. 60 mg is the starting dose for Axiron and typically produces a serum level in the 450 ng/dl range of total testosterone, which is within the normal range but not very high within that. Everyone absorbs and metabolizes differently though. The product sounds like a good idea because skin in the axila (armpit) will tend to absorb more efficiently than the outer arms, shoulders etc. so less product is required and there's less chance of accidental transfer to one's partner, kids etc. Injections work very well, but they're painful to do for years at a time, and they produce a less natural rise and fall than topical gels. I too am on Xanax and Valium is the closest thing to that. I would say (without being a doctor) that yes that sounds right. Xanax is more powerful with .5 or 1.0 mg and the standard for Valium is 10 mg. Hope this helps. I have a cousin in law who uses Valium for long term usage. Should be okay. Take care. What do you know about AXIRON testosterone medicine?
Asked by Denice Vounas 3 months ago.
I haven't taken it but i have used Androgel in the past and I use Testim now. I'm not sure why they have elected to make it an underarm thing, but my concern would be irritation. I guess maybe it is to make it less likely to transfer to clothing or other people. In any case, the topical does help keep my day to day levels more stable, but I still have to inject every two weeks. If you are able to get a sample before going on it, that might be for the best based on my various experiences with these things in the past. I've supplemented T for twenty years. I don't know what that stuff will do to you, and neither do you. Anyhow, bulking up on muscle shortens your life expectancy just like an equal weight of fat. Go to youtube.com and watch a video called "Make Yourself Heart Attack Proof." Answered by Tanja Fate 3 months ago.

Here is my situation. I dont have health insurance, my factory job (that Ive had for 2 years) doesnt offer anything, ive felt crappy and run down for over a year (several more symptoms as well) and after 2 months of testing my Dr figures out its very low testosterone which is weird cause I was already on the strongest OTC natural test booster and it was still low. My job only pays me $8.50 an hour and Axiron is $350 a bottle/month. No insurance will cover it or any other pre existing condition. The governments "Pre-existing conditions" insurance doesnt cover my state. Axiron is a topical solution that is applied to the armpit. What other prescription testosterone is there that wont cost me $350? Answered by Jason Posten 3 months ago.
Please don't buy prescription drugs of any sort from a pharmacy that doesn't require a script. Many drugs are counterfeit, some are dangerous. You could end up financially worse off as well. See if there is a free clinic in your area. Ignore any links for rogue pharmacies that might be posted in an answer. Answered by Torrie Dulmage 3 months ago.

What I am wanting to know is, will loose weight, will I be able to sleep better, or any thing else I need to know. I know that this may sound stupid to ask, but my doctor didn't tell me much. My main concern is that I have tried eating less, and have worked out a little and it does nothing. Will I start loosing weight? Will I loose some or none? What are some results? I have man boobs will they go away? please let me know. Answered by Lorriane Camaj 3 months ago.

Im 25 and have low T. My doc gave me a TRT called axiron. Will i bulk up muscle or cut fat?
How will it compare to a steroid or a high protein diet?
Asked by Belva Hodapp 3 months ago.
You'll only build muscle if you exercise a lot.. raising your T level will make it easier for you to build muscle, however!! It may raise your metabolism some, which will help you lose weight easier also.... but you won't lose weight unless you eat less and exercise more... and get enough sleep: building muscle and losing weight (ok, you can't do both at the same time......) both require that you get the proper amount of sleep. Bottom line: having adequate levels of T just makes it easier to build muscle.... then you can cut the fat. Answered by Kaci Butkus 3 months ago.
Is there any testosterone treatment that will not affect my prostate gland?
I am using axiron to treat a low-t condition,i am having a lot of urination problems.
Asked by Lashunda Rehkop 3 months ago.
If you use Axiron as it is prescribed by your doctor or as it's written in the information instructions that comes with the Under Arm Prescription, it shouldn't have any adverse affects on your prostate. If you have a prior prostate conditions such as BPH, it might cause your prostate to enlarge more but your doctor should have been aware of any prior conditions. I've taken injections of testosterone and used the Gel for over 12 years and neither has ever caused me any problems. Your urination problems might be from something other than testosterone so it would be advisable to consult a Urologist about it. Answered by Cathie Casimir 3 months ago.
Will i develope male features or have side effects of this product?
Accidently grabbed a bottle of axiron because im stupid and was curious. I only touched the outside if the bottle but i didnt wash my hands until like 40 mins later. Please help. Im 13 years old and female.
Asked by Gaylene Ehmann 3 months ago.
I would think it is very unlikely if you just touched the outside of the bottle once. It is true that the label cautions women and children about contacting someone that has used the product, but I really wouldn't worry about just touching the outside of the bottle. And the label only says women may get increased acne or changes in body hair, whatever that means. Answered by Jewel Yazzi 3 months ago.
I'd be careful wiht the stuff in the future but being exposed once wil not make you into a make or affect your development :) I wouldn't fret Answered by Dorothea Bolin 3 months ago.

Have you been listening to the axiron commercials? the problems are a longer spot than the commercial part. as a rule don't mess with hormones more than enough (what your body makes) is usually bad. Answered by Harvey Schamber 3 months ago.
No, not a good idea no matter your age. Get energy through natural body functions. Answered by Brooks Englander 3 months ago.
