1gm = 1000mg 500mg = 0.5gm 1.5gm / (0.5gm/cap) = 3 caps per dose Answered by Judie Quirke 1 year ago.

1.5 gm = 1500 mg 1500 mg divided by 500 mg = 3 caps per dose You could use the patient wt. and normal dosage range to determine if the dosage order is within normal range. Doctor's order = 1500 mg x 4 = 6000 mg/day 176 lbs. = 80 kg 50 mg x 80 kg = 4,000 mg/day 150 mg x 80 kg = 12,000 mg/day Usual dosage range = 4,000 mg -12,000 mg per day Answered by Tiara Hollender 1 year ago.
