What is the difference between amphetamine sulphate & methamphetamine?
& do they really make it from battery acid & drain cleaner?
Asked by Lorene Gutreuter 3 months ago.
The difference between amphetamine sulfate and methamphetamine is that the amphetamine sulfate is a by-product of methamphetamine after the methamphetamine has been consumed. Amphetamine does not have an extra methyl group attached to the amine group. Typically in a cladestine lab, drug makers will use psuedofedrine to make amphetamine and then probably use drain cleaner or battery acid to extract the amphetamine or methamphetamine. What is the exact active composition of Amphetamine Sulfate?
I've had it and Adderall. Please don't say they are the same. They're not. Percentages ,please. 30 mg capsules
Asked by Les Claybron 3 months ago.
well your probably not going to believe me, they are the same thing. if they weren't the same thing according to FDA they would not be able to be sold as generic if they didn't pass the same tests that the brand did. the active composition of amphetamine sulfate is amphetamine sulfate; the active composition of Adderall is amphetamine sulfate. drugs that are schedule 2 narcotics such as Adderall have to pass many more tests then other drugs such as ibuprofen. if you were on Adderall XR then you'd know that a few months ago their was a recall on the brand because in the factory that makes the brand and generic (yes same building) the shells were mixed up so the brand had generic markings. if you are in any country other then the US I'd say chances are they are different. but as long you are in the US they are the same thing. Answered by Steven Corl 3 months ago.
I'll have to disagree with Jake, Adderall is a combination preparation containing dexamfetamine sulfate and saccharate, with amfetamine sulfate and amfetamine aspartate monohydrate Answered by Lauren Kowalkowski 3 months ago.
Is this a valid process for synthesizing amphetamine sulfate?
http://www.scribd.com/doc/29100750/Amphetamine-Sulphate-Synthesis also would give the same result as using adderall?

What is the empirical formula of the compound?
Amphetamine sulfate consists of 46.3% C, 6.0% N, 6.5% H, 13.6% S and 27.5% O. (Atomic weights: C =12.01, N = 14.01, H = 1.008, O = 16.00, S = 32.06).

Medications (legal and not) and early pregnancy?
Danielle - How come because ive had 3 children I am at higher risk?
Asked by Sadye Fetz 3 months ago.
Before i start, Please no, your selfish your stupid Blah Blah! Im here for a genuine answer. Ive been over weight since having my 3 children. tried different types of diets, dieting pills, some exercise ( this is limited due to bad back since i was 11) the last couple of months i have re-tried Orlistat from the Dr and also something my friend suggested to me, Amphetamine Sulphate, very small amount in the morning, not enough to make you feel different, just enough to suppress your appetite. I lost 7lbs in week 1, 3lbs in week 2. Only thing is, i Found out last monday that im pregnant, very unexpected, me and my partner have been using condoms since my coil ran out in january. I stopped all medication (except my antibiotics) when i found out, but worried that what i took before i found out may have already done some damage...? im about 5 weeks and 3 days now (give or take a few days due to irregular periods) Does anyone know what the likelyhood is that everything will be ok? Answered by Ava Esquerra 3 months ago.
Amphetamine sulfate is generic adderall. You can research the effects of adderal in the first trimester. As with most ADHD meds it has been linked to birth defects. This does not necesarily mean that your baby will be born with defects. But as you have already had 3 kids you are definitely at risk. I would see a doctor and get all your blood tests done & speak to your doctor about this soon. Don't worry about getting in trouble, you wont, but it is very important to tell your doctor and make sure they think youre having a safe pregnancy. Answered by Shandra Shearon 3 months ago.
Chances are things will be ok, good for you for stopping everything right away though. I was on an amphetamine based prescription when I first got pregnant with my daughter (she was a NuvaRing baby, we weren't trying) and she ended up fine. Make sure you let your doctor know though if they don't know already. Answered by Leilani Haza 3 months ago.
Your baby should be ok since you stopped taking the speed early on. Answered by Floyd Sturman 3 months ago.
Are there different types of amphetamines?
I've heard people talking about Amphetamines. And they have mentioned there are different types of them. Is that true or no? If yes, what different types of them are there? What are the different types of effects? SORRY IM A VERY CURIOUS PERSON LOL
Asked by Santos Sechrist 3 months ago.
There are several different amphetamines: dextroamphetamine- this is sold as a prescription medication under several brands most commonly Dexedrine and Dexedrine Spansules and also ProCentra and DextroStat. When made and used on the street dextroamphetamine is actually what "speed" is and it, alone or in combination, is the most widely used prescription amphetamine. Medically this is approved to treat ADHD and narcolepsy although it is often used off-label to treat severe treat resistant depression, primary hypersomnia, fatigue due to MS, HIV/AIDS, cancer, to reduce opioid side effects, to increase analgesic effects of opioids in people with severe intractable pain, for weight loss (although that not very common), and other neuropsychiatric conditions. [dextroamphetamine may also be written, depending on the county dexamphetamine or dexamfetamine] levoamphetamine (amphetamine)- not available by prescription alone. Levoamphetamine is much less potent than dextroamphetamine. Mixed Salts of a Single Entity Amphetamine Product- a combination of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine, each in several different forms: dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate and, amphetamine sulfate. This is the prescription medication Adderall and Adderall XR. It is 75% dextroamphetamine and 25% levoamphetamine. Medically this is approved to treat ADHD and narcolepsy although it is often used off-label to treat severe treat resistant depression, primary hypersomnia, fatigue due to MS, HIV/AIDS, cancer, to reduce opioid side effects, to increase analgesic effects of opioids in people with severe intractable pain, and other neuropsychiatric conditions. methamphetamine- sold as a prescription medication, contrary to commonly belief, under the brand name Desoxyn. However prescription methamphetamine is rarely used partly because many physicians are unaware of it and it has a significant stigma. Methamphetamine is the most widely produced amphetamine illicitly, it is also the most potent amphetamine. Medically this is approved to treat ADHD and exogenous obesity however its use in narcolepsy is well accepted. It may also be used for any of the other conditions I have listed although it would be an unlikely choice. lisdexamfetamine- this is sold as a prescription medication under the brand name Vyvanse. For all intents and purposes Vyvanse is dextroamphetamine however Vyvanse (which is an inactive substance) must first be metabolised at which time lisdexamfetamine breaks down into dextroamphetamine. Medically this is only approved to treat ADHD. Since it is fairly new it has not been used off-label as other medications however it could be used for some of the conditions I have listed. MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) better known as ecstasy- not available for medical use. Has both stimulating and hallucinogenic effects. Other substances that are substituted amphetamines (ie they are chemically related to amphetamine and are in the same class) include ephedrine, cathinone, methcathinone, tenamfetamine, and many more. Classic amphetamines (dextroamphetamine, levoamphetamine, methamphetamine) can cause increased heart rate, blood pressure, can increase concentration, increase wakefulness, agitation, anxiety, paranoia, euphoria, headache, any many other effects. When used medically side effects are typically mild and medication is well tolerated. Answered by Kendall Hinzman 3 months ago.

What does generic Adderall contain?
Is it exactly the same as amphetamine Sulfate? I swear it's not. Amphetamine sulfate is much smoother and causes less anxiety.
Asked by Fredricka Fadel 3 months ago.
Adderall is called "mixed amphetamine salts." It contains four different preparations of amphetamine each is 25% of the total amount: dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate. I really doubt you had amphetamine sulfate because aside from the small amount in Adderall it is not used and would cause more anxiety. HOWEVER dextroamphetamine sulfate is used and that is probably what you are talking about. The usage of 'amphetamine' is very odd since dextroamphetamine is what people are really talking about when they say amphetamine. So you most likely had Dexedrine which is only dextroamphetamine sulfate and Dexedrine is typically described as "smoother." Answered by Annette Sweeten 3 months ago.

All are amphetamines. They are stimulants known as sympathomimetic amines. Amphetamines are thought to block the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine into the presynaptic neuron and increase the release of these monoamines into the extraneuronal space. Answered by Hettie Merli 3 months ago.
All of the Four are amphetamine salts working in the same way, as stimulants. The only difference is that they are metabolized at different rates. Due to this, we have an extended-release form of the medication (Adderall XR). A single dose is dissolved and metabolized bit by bit, not abruptly, all at a time. That is why the four-salts combination has a milder action as compared to single-salt one. Answered by Tana Hunting 3 months ago.
