Amnesteem - anyone taking it or taken it recently?
This is considerd "generic" Accutane. I was just wondering if you got better pricing with this than Accutane, and which Pharmacy? Also, did your doc say it would work as well as Accutane? What was your experience? (I already know of the risks etc, I have the book on it here). Asked by Maragret Castillo 4 months ago.

The company which makes Amnesteem tends to match its price to that of Accutane. There won't be much difference. There often is a greater difference going from store to store comparing the price of the same product. As far as effect there is apparently no difference either. Is it ok to go to a water park while taking amnesteem?
Asked by Ute Tineo 4 months ago.

It would be unsafe to go to an outdoor water park while taking amnesteem because your sun exposure would be too high. The drug warnings say : "Avoid exposure to the sun and sunlamps. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing when you are exposed to direct sunlight." At an outdoor water park you will be in direct sunlight for long times, especially while waiting in lines to go on rides. Sunscreen will wash off, and you won't be able to keep covered up. You should be okay at an indoor water park, if you can find one near you. Answered by Jeanette Kackley 4 months ago.

You need to stay out of the sun. I would say it's okay but you need to limit your time in the sun, and don't even think about going into the sun without sunscreen. Drink plenty of water while taking amnesteem. It helps to carry a water bottle around with you. Other than that, you're fine if you stay out of the sun as much as you can, is my guess. If you get burned, don't say I didn't tell ya so. Answered by Lana Fan 4 months ago.

Can amnesteem help with blackheads?
Asked by Lance Ramey 4 months ago.

Yes, isotretinoin (Amnesteem) is the only oral acne medication that helps with blackheads. Sometimes it's the only thing that does work. Answered by Tracie Steil 4 months ago.

Is there a difference between amnesteem and accutane?
I wanted to go on accutane but i got amnesteem (the generic version of accutane). Is there ANY difference what so ever between the two? Will the results be exactlyy the same? Asked by Eusebio Dearcos 4 months ago.

First of all, there is no difference between the two, other than the name. However, you will no longer be able to get Accutane, anyway, as the company that produced it is no longer making it (Roche). Thus, you will be left with Amnesteem, Claravis, or Sotret. Answered by Chin Winterbottom 4 months ago.

I just went to the pharmacy to get my first pack of Accutane (altough it is my second round- I was on it last summer) THey gave me a generic brand called Clarus instead of Accutane/ The pharmacist said that it is the exact same thing only cheaper, and that it has the same results. Answered by Branda Ulstad 4 months ago.

No, the difference between generic and brand is just the name, the active ingredient (isotretinoin) is the same. Answered by Romaine Noecker 4 months ago.

Can i drink alcohol while taking amnesteem?
I started taking amnesteem (generic to accutane) close to a week ago. I will be having it for 5 months. Can i drink alchol with it or will it not make the meds work right to clear my skin? Asked by Danica Hunkele 4 months ago.

According to Drug Digest, alcohol can increase the risk of developing high cholesterol or high blood lipids. The MayoClinic website indicates that using alcohol while taking this drug can affect the usefulness of the medication. WebMD suggests avoiding "the use of alcohol while taking this medication because it may increase the risk of certain side effects (e.g., pancreatitis)." As you know, your pharmacist or doctor can provide you with additional information. Answered by Virgina Carioscia 4 months ago.

Answered by Janise Mccombs 4 months ago.

This post just reminded me to take my iso. lol Anyway, I've taken Accutane twice & the pills are usually easier to digest if you take them with a meal. Any meal will do. Day, night, doesn't matter as long as you take it every day. The pills tend to stick in your throat so it's best if you take them with nomz to push them down. haha Answered by Theodora Pazik 4 months ago.

It would not get to the inspiration of the undertaking with the aid of removing it. in case you want to proceed having clean pores and skin, you need to take them infinetely. Okay, I took this medicine, Amnesteem, and it works! I have been prescribed to continue this regimen for 5 months. On my third month with this drug, my entire body was completely gone and smooth. During the fifth month, my lower part of my face has cleared up flawlessly. I love the result and I'm afraid that it will come back. I have been browsing the websites about it coming back and I could not find anything reliable. My face doctor told me that my face should not come back at all. She said that it will come back whenever I'm in great stress. Like car accident, serious surgery, etc. And this seem too good to be true. So, my question is... is there any certain chance that it will come back? Before the drug, I didn't have any cyst zits or whatever. Just normal pimple. That is it. If that helps? Answered by Coralee Carriger 4 months ago.

I was on that, it does work, I didn't use it for my full 6 months cause it raised my blood pressure but I have heard stories of it coming back. Once you're off it though, don't use any Face washes or anything for acne. Once you're skin is healthy you're goal is to keep it that way, so just use a normal face wash and moisturizer like cetaphil. Hope I helped! Answered by India Grannan 4 months ago.
