Where can I sell Lidoderm patches?
I was perscribed lidoderm lidocaine patches for pain, however, after I picked them up from the pharmacy, my doctor called and told me not to use them because of my history of being allergic to stuff like that. So, I have an entire box of unused lidoderm patches and I hate to throw them away, they were expensive! The pharmacy won't take them back. Is there any place I can sell them to?
ebay or a local high school
Does Lidoderm or any other lidocaine based topical anesthetic work for needle stick pain?
I am extremely phobic of needles, and I would like to know of Lidoderm would work. Has anyone tried it before?
Lidodearm is a patch the doctor puts on your arm about an hour before the needle stick. It supposed to numb the area. Is this true? has anyone tried it before

Yes, the Lidoderm would definitely work for needle stick pain.

i have used Lidoderm patches regularly for back pain and i cannot believe how well the patches work....they totally numb you out and if you were to apply a patch an hour before having bloodwork done, you would not feel a thing. Trust me,
I know what I am talking about. So don't worry about having the bloodwork done as these patches will work for you.

How well does a lidoderm patch work for back pain?
Erin Schlitt
Back pain is caused by pinched muscles so if it can release the muscles it will work really well, if it can't not so good. If you want to get rid of the pain you have to free up the muscles in your back so they are no longer pinched and here's how to do that:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Has anyone used the lidoderm patch?
it was prescribed for back pain. Does it work? Are there any bad side effects.
I have a resident at the nursing home that I work in who is using it and has had very good luck with it.

She has pain issues in rib area and low back and these have helped her

wears them for 12 hours on and 12 hours off, we do cut the patch and apply to both areas.

She loves it and we have tried many pain medications for this pain

we first issued for pain from herpes zoster (shingles) doctor thought we would try it as he felt nerve endings were where her pain was.

Never hurts to try and it is much better than being addicted to a narcotic pain pill if it works for you

forgot the web site check it out
can you use lidoderm patches for osteoarthritis pain?
people say walking is the best for osteoarthritis, but why does it hurt?
I slap a lidoderm patch on my ankle which was broken years ago and it gives good relief.

How long usually does it take lidoderm patches to start working?
I have never used these patches and I am having nerve pain from a swollen lymph node. My doctor said they might help me.

  Usually within a few hours.
will the lidoderm patch help fibrolmyalgia pain?
I am on SS disability and Medco (my Rx company) has denied prior authorization for the patch. I used it for a month and it really made a difference. I also have narrowing of the disc in my lower back which causes nerve pain down my hip and leg (the right side). Thank you.

You used it for a month and it helped. So, I am assuming it will still provide good results.

A generic pharmaceutical company (watson) recently applied with the FDA to release a generic for the patches. The patent on the name brand product has not expired yet, but there is some legal stipulation that may allow the generic to be released early. IF this loop hole works, a generic may be available sometime later this year. Insurance companies usually take a month or two to update their computer systems with the new generic, but once they do add the generic to their formulary, it should be covered by your insurance.

Since you are disabled, you may qualify for a prescription assistance program that the manufacturer has. I don't know all the details, but if you are disabled and using the drug for an FDA approved indication, the manufacturer may be able to give you the med at a discounted price or for free. Follow this link to find out more about their patient assistance program-

If all else fails, you can by the lidocaine gel and apply it using gauze and a bandaid. This gets messy, and may not be as effective.

Let me know if the patient assistance thing works out, as I will suggest for other people to try that in the future.

Long and short acting drugs mean just that. Long last 12hours or more short usually last 4 to 6 hours. Your duragesic drug, also known as fentanyl last 3 days and it is a patch and very dangerous to tamper with, Oxycontin last twelve also very dangerous if you do not take it as prescribed, oxycodone last 4 to 6 hours and dangerous too. Vicodin, percocet, are short. I am not to sure about some of the others because I never had to take them yet. Most of these drugs are for mild to severe chronic pain and are addicting. I just am wondering why you need to know. These are dangerous and have caused deaths in those who abuse them so don't be stupid. If you need more info check on line, there's plenty of info there that can tell you all about them. Be good.

Left an Lidoderm patch on my leg 24 hours instead of 12 and now my knee has spots like bruises?
I have knee pain and instead of having to take an oral pain med my doctor gave me the patches. I'm only supposed to leave it on for 12hrs. I got busy with my child, job and school and forgot about the patch being on(they work that well). Now my knee has spots that look like color wise bruises in that area. My doctor's office is closed so I was wondering if anyone else used these patches and had this happen to them. Should I be worried?

Most likely it will be ok. Just check with your doctor when the office opens.
